Thankyou to our Australian brothers,,,,,You supported us Brits in two world wars and we also supported you in the Pacific war......We shall always be with you....Our countries must remain faithful to one another......Love to you all
We were sent to Gallipoli to distract the turks because the british thougt we were throwaway soldiers. They were wrong. We were and still are full of valour, courage, skill and smart. ANZAC day is not a day of celebration, or glory. It is to rember our loses that the brits in WW1 caused. Lest we forget.
Most definitely one of my favourite parts of commemorating ANZAC Day in Sydney each year. Such an amazing experience watching the mass bagpipes march in Sydney!!

When both bagpipes and "belted plaid", forerunner of the present-day kilt were outlawed for thirty-six years, all that period of proscription did, was to send not only the Scots to other countries but take their tartan and bagpipes with them. How many Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians, or the people of the United States, where I now have spent most of my life, ever do, or even have heard of Morris Dancing?
Fear not Manfred James, having been to 6 ANZAC events in Sydney over the past week, I can almost sing the English and Maori versions of God Defend New Zealand in my sleep !
Also just to clarify, the Massed Bands are not actually part of the ANZAC march organised by the RSL where the bands march individually. They are part of the Scottish Act of Remembrance which is held after the ANZAC March is concluded, and actually marches in the opposite direction !
@Wayne Haile ANZAC day is a day to remember the Australian, New Zealand Army Corps during ww1. It's literally in the name. Thats why the Australian and kiwi flag both fly on the day. If you want an Australian specific day that would be remembrance day.

God the royal guards are huge. Absolute unit of a man, every single one of them.
Very moving.
Thank you ANZACs for your service. Bloody heroes all of you. Britain owes you a debt, and our gratitude.

Since when do the Australian police have porsche's?
Sydney is a wealthy prosperous global city, no reason not to afford Porsche, not bad for a city founded by convicts.

Scotland The Brave
@@naufala93 no its not, thats the first march, the second march is a hundred pipers
Actually the first set is Scotland the Brave alternating with The Rowan Tree, and then A Hundred Pipers after the break.
