I love how you do this type of videos as an education experience instead of a funny reaction type of things i saw alot of other creators do on UA-cam.

So important that us stylists understand the colour wheel. 🎨

As a hairdresser you've got to learn how to read people better, and also know your range (as in know what you're capable of doing and not doing) and dont be afraid of telling people "thats going to look shit and it going to destroy your hair and as LOH has pointed out INSTAGRAM hair pictures the majority ESPECIALLY this one is NOT real !!! Its your job as a professional to say yay or nay, and if she doesn't like that answer let it be someone else's problem !!!
LOH would you attempted this colour or said no its not realistic??

Great, thank you for that! Would I have attempted this, not in one go for sure and I wouldn’t have promised the exact image as you would’ve setting yourself up to fail potentially that image looks so photo shopped.

Wow...as a hairdresser, knowing our own limitations and the limitations of the client's hair is a must. However, some must love to be gambling magicians...lol.

Shooting from the hip here, UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS from the client, the pic is photoshopped.

Her inspo pic was either a wig, a lighting trick, or photoshop. At the end, where we can see the salon, now I understand why her results came out like this. This is one of the chain salons that you'll find in our malls. They're cheaper than other salons and you're not likely to find color specialists. They're usually fine for a cut (my son had a great haircut from one, the man really knew what he wanted). I wouldn't ever trust a low-cost salon to color or lighten my hair. Perhaps the prices at other salons were too expensive, or they were realistic, telling her she can't go that light (within timeframe or budget). That's easily around a $1k service, and she may have felt that was too much. Now she'll pay more than she would have for the correction, plus it seems she didn't get a refund! Many brides go all out for their weddings, spending around $1k & up on a dress that they'll wear once. IMHO it's certainly worth it to spend that on your hair that you can't take off. As they say, "you get what you pay for".

Still watching this. I did that colour correction the other day based on under promising.
Also remember when I promised this colour on someone, you mentioned photoshop 5 years ago!
I’ve never done that again 🎉

should have gone over the yellowy bits with more bleach without foil just watching it for ten mins and then toned all over with 9.13 it would have looked creamy blonde and maybe client wouldn't have got angry and def it wouldn't have been greenish

They are both to blame! First of all you don t go to a stranger to do blond before your wedding even if you ve see his her work it s just stupid, second why would the stylist do a refund? She spet hours working on her hair and products so much bleach goes in that hair witch is not free , stupid policy , every stylist does what they can , it was her choice to sit in her chair noone put a gun to her head. You can t blame someone like that maybe that s all she knows , the client should do more research on the stylist she goes to

Her hair is so long and thick id be like id need all day for that, and i wont be promising ice white. A nice lv 9 blonde should be achievable. Plus what is her maintenence? To let it grow out again... i hope not, because then she shouldnt be getting that at all, and should be getting a balayage

So interesting to see and hear your thoughts about it. In my salon we have the chance to fix the hair before giving a refund.
Btw when can we se your hairtutorials again ? 😍

They should’ve just given her a heavy balayage with an exaggerated money piece and toned to blend the banding. Sometimes a little bit of gold toner is needed to blend banding like that. Definitely should not have promised that white wig. Her hair was going to have damage after this service- no matter what.

Similar thing happened to me. I just wanted simple balayage, maybe 1 to 2 levels lighter than my natural (I'm a level 6 naturaly), and got fried hair with green tone, harsh lines, to close to the roots, red on the roots because she toned with probably 30% hydrogen peroxide, and it looked like I had my hair done 3 months ago and it grew out. Total disaster, and I'm so mad because I would have preferred if she just told me she can't do it. The worst was that I told her everything, and she said she can do it. They offered to try and fix it but I couldn't make my self to sit in her chair again. Probably won't go to a hairdresser ever again.

Her hair was kind of already a mess. However, it could have been salvaged and with the right products her ends would have been saved and could have been toned properly. Next time don't throw dark over. Go to someone to work with all the work that was done in there. Fried it for nothing...

The most shocking thing here is that she wears those tiny shorts with that body.
