I personally do NOT Invest highly on DPS characters, since I find them to have relatively SHORT Shelf Life in the Meta, and DPS Re-runs tend to not be worth it since it just means a much Stronger DPS is bound to be released in a few patches. Getting Yanqing from both a Lost 50/50 and the Standard Banner from the free Tickets (From said lost 50/50), is a welcome addition for me (Especially considering I've been running Welt DPS, Bronya Support since the beginning of the game)
Yanqing can dual dps, but it'd have to be a Niche setup with Misha who can freeze on Ult. Which even has a faster cooldown than Mach 7. Plus, his Ult paired with a Ruan Mei will shred Toughness damage enabling more freezes on the enemy keeping them weakness broken longer giving the team more damage output. Best build for that is to build Misha fast and bulkier, but slapping on a pioneer set to increase his dps since at E2, or E4 Misha can inflict two debuffs on the enemy when he uses ultimate. Maybe even utilizing an ERR rope with Penacony planar set to increase his own ERR for faster ult and team dps. You could even give him Imbibitor Lunae LC for more dps and ERR or Fall of an Aeon for pure dps.
Yeah this just highlights his issues. It’s not because he’s underrated or slept on. You need to put in such high investment to make him function as a dps when it’s just simply better to invest in other units and teams who will outperform him with less investment and more future use for your account.
@@philupmycupp1 True. And that does apply to those who have low investment into this game namely F2P players. But I'm not F2P( but I'm not a whale either) so I don't mind the cost of Yanqing. Understand your point though. Still I think his teams are relatively low cost. Ruan Mei(Who I think everyone should pull for), Misha( A 4 star), and Aventurine(Who is definitely a long term sustain). So I suppose if you like the character you wouldn't really care about the cost.
@@Rob.N. yeah, I have been playing for a year now and I wouldn’t consider myself f2p nor a whale. When I first started I did get and build a yanq and was lucky enough to have a gepard. I just don’t think it’s really a fair assessment to say he’s slept on. I think you’re in the right mindset to put him more in a sub dps with the team comp you described. I think it’s just that since aventurine came out it seems like content creators have been suggesting that yanq stonks are up. But in reality I don’t think it’s a fair assessment. Either way you can build and play who you want, not trying to give off that impression…I just think if you’re giving him aventurine and ruan mei you probably have better chars anywho and playing yanq is more like a fun build or comp thing. If he’s a necessity I just think there are probably easier teams to build with less investment time (like dot/nihil + ratio teams).
Honestly, I love his character but I've lost 3 50/50s because of him, however I still got the characters I wanted and I was suprised to find out that I had all his relecs already down, all I need now is Gepard,👌 Nice guide
The new FUA units I suspect will indirectly help him since we are getting even more prolly from dreams, and he can use MoC buffs meant for FUA pretty well actually since he can do multiple hits quickly, Plus for some reason all the FUA characters buff crit dmg lmao, plus his second hit in skill and ult will proc ally related FUA effects, will he use them better than ratio and jade? Well prolly not but it’s something I mean aventurine is perfect for him and he will help aventurine proc shields same with the other the can benefit. Ofc there’s the issue if he and ratio use same supports… and both are FTP…. Well ig future players won’t have ratio free but still

Is there a way to make his follow up attack more consistant? Is it affected by EHR?
Just the talent level. Its a fixed rate, you can't increase it in battle. The freeze from the followup is affected by EHR.
