It timed perfectly when I started running uphill! 7) Yes. I plan my week for running. 9) The pandemic has had me change from running on a treadmill to running on my neighbourhood streets. 1. Sometimes! Only when out with family though.
2. Haven't really taken up gels for running (yet). For me, I don't feel they're necessary for anything under a half-marathon.
3. Sort of! I don't go to that extent, but I love helping out friends who are interested!
4. No tan lines! I do the vast majority of my runs in the evening.
5. If it's 7°C or above, I consider t-shirts safe. Under that I go with long-sleeves.
6. Yes!
7. This is the reverse for me. When I do race, I plan them around my other things.
8. I don't go out in the rain 😛
9. Yes! If my watch isn't charging or I'm not in shower, it's on me.
10. I don't ask for gifts, although I do sometimes secretly hope it's running gear if someone does get me something 😛
Guilty!... on points 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9. 3) Co-worker told me he was taking up running. I got so excited and talked so much I think I now put him off running. (I did mention your channel too). 4) Yes. Tan lines on arms and head. 6) I'm always experimenting with my running playlist. Yesterday I found a tune that was great for running up a hill. It timed perfectly when I started running uphill! 7) Yes. I plan my week for running. 9) The pandemic has had me change from running on a treadmill to running on my neighbourhood streets. Oh course, I HAD to have the right gear. Bought a special running hat and 2 new tops and running shorts.
I always calculate how long it would take me to run there also😂
😂
Can you do a 5K race while rolling the egg with your nose while crawling on hands and knees and turns into a boys vs girls relay race challenge
That's not exactly running... it's not called the crawling channel!
What if I say that It's more healthy to mix different physical activities, and not be stuck on just one thing.
What are you preparing for? Huh?? ))
Of course, running is the best choice(my choice).
And do walking probably is even better(have no time for that).
just saying.
Music: even caught myself checking the BPM’s on a new song I heard in the background of a TV advertisement to see if it would work with my cadence playlist. Then, if it was purchasable or not by using Shazam to get its particulars.
I know it because I stopped having any summer holiday plans, scheduling all time for races 😎
Last year I could not resist to shift the hiking routes into running courses.
Somehow I managed to convert my backpack into a running vest...
Nuts! 😋
Definitely agree with the one about the watch. I also plan around races, especially when it's near a parkrun location I haven't done before
Yess we do this!
You guys really get me. Guilty on literally all counts. My coworkers would probably murder me if they could get away with it. Also when being overtaken by a young fit runner who expels a massive snot rocket the runners first says "low sevens, nice" and then "great rocket." Only a runner does that. Also I wear my Garmin tattoo with absolute pride.
All my socks, litteraly ALL my socks are running socks !!!
we ❤️ running socks!
Socks are my jam too.
My wrist isn't super white because I make a point not to wear my watch on my wrist when I walk my dogs. My feet, however...
Of course I wear my GPS watch every I go. I need a watch to get through the day, and I may as well count steps while I'm at it.
Can you do a 5K race while juggling three beanbags
Oh, yeah, running in the rain... Still remember when running another climb in my city with pouring rain I passed people shivering under umbrellas...
Went from warm to cool to rain, then .... HAIL!!! WHA....??!! Nope, there wasn't a soul on the trail.
You guys have more subs than mo Farah does
Wow thats pretty cool!
For daily runners, it is so tempting to wash hair every day. But some health websites are recommending to wash long hair twice a week in order to protect it. Do you have any tips regarding hair protection and hair shampoo?
Love you channel btw ;)
New running shoes for birthdays is definitely me. I'm also constantly checking the weather apps.
Haha, I haven't taken my running watch off for longer than a charge and a scrub in 4 years.
We are glued to them!
Only a year for me but I honestly can't remember life before the Garmin
Lol I LOVE running through a downpour!!! Last year I ran 16 miles in the rain with no jacket but a hoodie, and half of that run without that hoodie.
I'm a musician and I love music as much as anyone. But for some reason, I prefer to run without music. However, I'm guilty on all other charges!
You can give great directions around your city/town to non-runners with astonishing precision on distances. Related, if another runner asks if you know a route for a specific distance, you got them covered.
Different earphones for different types of runs..is that a thing or it's just me?
You are not alone on that one!
You need help. No I think we all do that.
Gel is a given. Fielding comments about my food intake. "Don't worry I ran ten miles yesterday."
Those tan line problems are all too real. I've had that white band around my wrist for a solid 6 years, along with some sick lines from my shorts and singlets from this summer.
I went through a phase where I obsessively looked for half marathons across the US and made fake training plans for myself to do races in multiple states and still have time to train in between.
I'm a divorced man who when looking at running shoes online always checks the woman colours options as well to choose which one my future girlfriend would wear ! A bit weird i know
Definitely the running tan. Garmin tan, 3/4 capri tan, shorts tan , tshirt tan, vest tan . Basically all different shades of a tan like a paint chart🤣
I woke up last week at 3am and nearly signed myself up for this year's Birmingham half marathon..
You know you are a runner when you can't wait for your birthday or Christmas for running gear but you go out and get them as you can't wait. You also know you are a runner when you over book every weekend for running events and forget you had other things on but don't want to give up your day of running.
When your on vacation especially at the beach and you also plan on when how far your runs will be, and which direction you might go decisions, decisions.
I can't help but laugh for I do mostly all that was seen on this video. I know I'm a runner when I try to make up an excuse why I should go out running.
You know you are a runner, when you check your pulse manually using your finger just to check if your watch optical HR is correct.
