The Running Channel could you do a video about running nutrition?
The run bowel movement is a cliche, another great reason if you're going running to go out in the country.
When you train you need fuel: kh, transport water thea koffee, recovery proteïne milk, qwark, eggs.........
0-60 min only water
60-120 30gr kh every hour
120-180 60gr kh every hour
180+ 90 gr kh every hour
In every race longer than 60 min i take 90 kh every hour
When you run 60 - 120 min you begin after 20 min with taking energiegells of isotonich drink
Weight yourself before and after the run, so you know hoe mutch you sweat and you have to drink after the run.
I drink every hour 600 ml ISO drink
After every run take some proteïne 20 gr. And when you like it oatmeal.
When you go to the store read what you buy.
Suger, salt, proteïne....
Just eat 4-6 meals a day, be fear to your self every time you someting "bad" you insulinesystem is working and bad for your body.
Example: breakfast, thea with a kookie, lunch, thea kookie 10 small pieces of chocolate , diner,
Thea slice of cake.
Your body will see this as 16 meals a day.
I hope this will give you a direction in the nutrition.
I can only run when i have done my swim and cycling sessions

You knw ur a runner wen u see smebody else out running n gt super jealous 😀
So true!! 😂
I swear😭
YEA
Yeah
Omg I get really jealous even if I just finished running myself 😂
Or when you see a road sign that says the next town is in so many miles and you smile and say, "Yeah, I can run that!".
Deffo!!
Guilty!
Yeahhhh 👌👌😂
I'm constantly driving around town saying, I've run through here, I've run all the way here..
That's sounds cool! 👍
You know you’re a runner when you’re going away for a weekend and you check for the local Park Runs nothing like a bit of Park Run Tourism
Absolutely!!
Me for my trip to Wales this weekend
Northern Ninja Runner or checking for a suitable route while on holiday
Yes look forward to doind a different park run on my annual weekend in London.
You might just like our new video on Saturday then...
OMG! I'm a runner! And lets not forget to mention the talks about injuries, illnesses, chafing, boob sizes ... to total strangers! Great video!
Haha! Of course! How could we have missed that one!
Boob sizes? How does that conversation go??
...when you driving and every time you see someone running/jogging, you mentally critique their running style/stride/speed and compare it to yours.
Danny Jacobs I cant tell you how true that is! I literally judge and criticize everyone I see running and idk why
So true!
So now all I'll think about is what other people think of how I run...great lol
Or when you see someone's stride and pick out something you can try to adopt in your own. Amen!
1. You know you're a runner when you run.
Very true!
Thank you Pope Francis
@@Geo-st4jv very cool!
I know I am an old runner when I don't care anymore about going somewhere on Saturday night and I just care about running on Sunday morning
The Holy Father has just one lung...so doubt he runs. Besides, he glides..!!
Great video, really made me laugh! I'm the kind of runner that think's 'why am I doing this?!' during each race, gets home and books another one!
Ahhh yesssss! We have those days too! Great one to add to the list!
I need some way to convert running on the treadmil in my garage to power the electricity for the house. Would save so much money 😂
Wouldn’t that be awesome?! 😂
turn the power off the treadmill now incline it like it's uphill then run it with your legs. it'll need to be connected to a belt driven dynamo.
Guilty! I have a drawer for running clothes. For most days. And another drawer for winter running clothes. And a bin in the garage for gear. Also, runners have no issues talking about injuries to people they don't know. I've chatted with total strangers about my groin, for example. Not embarrassed at all. Until just now.
Haha! We are an odd bunch aren’t we?!
Michael Rockow 😂I talk to random people about injuries even if they barely know me
Hehehe.. Great! Thanks for sharing 👍😍
Nah, you know you're a runner when you had shin splints, slept through the night, thought you've recovered the next morning since you never felt any pain, but when you woke up and start walking, the pain comes again.
Oh my god! Too true!!!😩😆
exactly
Yes
Your not a runner till someone shouts "Run Forrest Run" at you
Ha! Ah yes, that happens fairly frequently, doesn’t it? Someone shouted that at Anna at Brighton Marathon
ua-cam.com/video/X5fq8fZih6w/v-deo.html
I live in Yorkshire so it's "Get them Knees up!"
@@WatcherofVideosSometimes haha
I got shouted that about a week ago and shouted back " at least shout something original"
I bought a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company hat to wear while running for this very reason!
I’m a new runner and can’t wait to have a drawer 😱😃
It soon accumulates!
Run a couple of races, and you'll start collecting t-shirts and buffs. Then you'll get interested in running socks. Next thing you know, you're spending an hour on Running Warehouse, poring over a dozen pair of seemingly identical shorts. That's when you're caught for good.
madr309 There’s a running warehouse? 😄👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@gailbrown3390 Yup. Sort of like Amazon, but just for runners. Dangerous place to browse....
gail brown me too
You know your a runner when the other runner's punishment is your run.
You know your a runner when you take a shower and your still sweating.
You know your a runner when you do every single stretch and workout by memory
I thought of these while on my run, amazing job!
Haha amazing!
The guessing other runners' paces is so extremely accurate! When someone goes by me on a run I'll spend a good part of the rest of my run guessing their speed
Haha I think we all do this!
Haha 😅
I am definitely guilty as charged of being a roundup running. I can't bring myself to stop running unless my watch has ticked over that mile 🤣🤣🥵🏃♂️. I laughed to hard when it wus the first one on the list I nearly dropped my phone Haha 🤣😂🤣
Haha! we cannot be held responsible for any phone breakages caused by our attempt at comedy! Glad you found it funny though. We are an odd bunch, aren't we?
@@runningchannel odd bunch yes well maybe just a little 🤣😂. However I might be biased but I also think we are the absolute best bunch of people!! 😄👍🙌🤝❤🏃♂️🏃♀️
@@martinchapman8873 not biased, just sensible. We are the best 🙌
I hate when they schedule me a 4.8k run, team it's 5k
Hehe.. I'm new ISH . And it happend to me the first time few weeks ago.. getting near home was thinking it's got to be 5k by now.. comming up soon?... Is it gonna tell me now? Ahh near home.. well I'll keep going a bit.. up the green, round a bush back towards home then Yey! You have reached 5kilometrrs.. ( 39 mins.. ect. My average pace is between 7/8.. I think I'm doing ok.) Funny I had to complete otherwise it wouldn't feel right hehe xx
Brilliant! Apart from still being rubbish at km/m conversion I do all the others. We’ve gone one step further in our house though as we bought a 3 drawer storage unit just for running gear. Well, two actually, his and hers. 😂
WOW!! That is dedication to the running gear! 😂
#20 - You know you're a runner when you're the last person to leave the track or park.
#21 - You know you're a runner when you run in the rain or snow.
#22 - You know you're a runner when you run at 4 AM and see absolutely no one else running.
#23 - You know you're a runner when you run on a holiday (Thanksgiving Christmas, 4th of July).
#24 - You know you're a runner when you tell people you run and they tell you they hate running.
#25 - You know you're a runner when you visit another city and you want to go to a park rather than to a shopping mall, museum, or famous restaurant.
#26 - You know you're a runner when you're driving to your place of employment and you see people running and you immediately get jealous.
#27 - You know you're a runner when you keep running gear in your car or truck (shoes, shorts, t-shirts).
Love all of these!
#20!!!!
I don’t own a car so I can’t relate to the gear in the truck but the rest is pretty accurate haha
All of these are so true.
To add:
When you can rate streets in your town by how safe they are to run on.
When you are 100 yards from an oncoming car and you already know they aren’t slowing down or moving over.
Good ones! Thanks for watching 🙌
I’m a double expert on miles to kilometres and vice versa as I also tour abroad on a motorcycle. You’re right about luggage mind. My wife also runs and the debates centre on what kit doubles up for running! OMG this video is so true, and that’s without mentioning bathrooms and toilets....
😂
Been following this channel for only about two weeks or so, but am totally in love with it. Reminds me so much of my early days of following GCN. :) Thanks for all the fun, informative and useful content Ana, Kate & Rick. :)
Thanks so much Saran! (Anna)
Yes I always think of the running channel as the running gcn
You know you are a runner when you desire to have more running shoes than other shoes.
👌
That's me💪🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Lol, so true
😂 literally
Why? I already have a pair that works for me perfectly, do your shoes not feel comfortable?
You know your a runner when this video comes up on your recommended and you watch it.
Thanks guys for all the videos. Cheering for u guys from Canada. One day I would love to run with you guys.
Thanks Pablo!
Dedicated running drawer. Brilliant idea!!
Essential 😂
When you go to Spain and a run while everyone else is a still hungover from the night before
Ha
How about when someone you know is encouraging of your running and buys you a cotton T-shirt for your runs. Your response being “no, no, no, cotton is bad for any form exercise”.
Most of those Top 10 are me though.
The682Media Why is cotton bad? Isn’t it supposed to be more breathable?
Cotton gets heavy with sweat, so it's not ideal for running. Polyester, I think, is one of the ideal fabrics for lightness, good at wicking away sweat, etc
I love the idea that Anna lives exclusively in Running Channel t-shirts 😆
Running Channel is life 🙌
I ran in Battersea park for years wind, rain sun and shine. Never seen one of these people
1- I did a 21.8 long run once and had to continue on to get the 22 . 2- I have like 3 drawers 3- guilty 4- its second nature at this point 5- learnt my lesson during a half m 6- yep, 6am long run 7- also guilty 8- always trying to guess their pace in my head. 9 - 100% 10- :)
Full house for you! Any we missed?
I can’t sleep so rewatched this and the suitcase is 100% true. I now keep running kit at mums as it’s actually easier than remembering to pack it. I even have spare parkrun barcodes at hers too
Lol so true!! Everytime I drive i check my odometer and see how far a mile or 5k is. Found out the other day is almost exactly 3.1 miles from my house to the gym lol!
Run commute to the gym....?
I'm not normally a competitive person, but when someone runs past me I make sure they don't stay ahead for very long. Whatever training I was doing immediately goes out the window and it becomes a race.
I do it with cyclists too, but they usually leave me in the dust lol
I tried this with a girl that passed me when i was on a 10K training run, and she just left me in the dust.. when checking Strava i noticed she was on a 28K training run on a low-tempo part.. felt better when i noticed she's able to do a sub 17-minute 5k, while i'm around 21 minutes
@@cdh79 yikes, gotta pick your battles mate lol
I literally laughed out loud at the second last one. I work in km, so I have 1km markers in my mind for every direction from my house 😅
Great video made me laugh yes Guilty as charged have to end my runs on a mile number not half, clothing socks in there draws and of course have a subscription to Runner's World Magazine since forever.
Pretty much all spot on. Smiled at all.
Thanks for watching 🙌
You know your a runner when you watch The Running Channel.
👍
1:43 who knew that something could be both neverending and endless.
🤷🏻♀️
“A never-ending, endless cycle of washing”... who wrote this script?!?!
🙋♀️ guilty as charged (Anna)
I use the Quad Loader at the Laundromat.
I’m 14 and run 8 miles every other day of the week, after I watched this video i had nothing in common with any of these things except that i run :)
In my closet I categorize my clothes as Normal usage and running haha, same for shoes. Half of my closet is shirts for running, shorts for running, winter stuff for running and shoes for running and I even label them. Also I’m a extremely organized person
You know you are a runner when you see a hill, mountain or trail and say "I need to run there"
Haha yes!
So true.
This made me laugh at every point, thinking, yep I do that, yep I do that , yep I do that!!! 🤣🤣
I avoid the laundry pile by getting in the shower WITH my running clothes still on. I have a plastic tub on the shower floor and some laundry detergent and my clothes get washed as I shower. Saves water too!
That's a great idea!
Wow this is exactly true. I found myself in everything you guys said. So funny😂😂😂😂
Love this channel, I’m new to running been doing it about a year now but have loved the tips and comedy in this channel!
☺️ thanks Andrew.
In my case i'm constantly injured but am already looking forward to when it clears up and i can run again!! 😁
Hope you can get back soon!
LOL Spot on! And to complement the early Sunday run, theres the early exit on Saturday social meetings. My friends joke that im Cinderella cause before the clock marks 12 this girl is OUT running through the door to go back home!
yep have a dedicated cupboard to running / sports clothes. I don't mind washing running kit as its usually quick drying too.
This is very true!
I'm not a runner.... but then again.... ticked quite a few of these and realised that I'm watching this because I've subscribed! Help
That makes you a runner then! 😂
I love Anna's little wave at the end
👋
Absolutely ALL of these apply to me! Lol. I have three drawers of running gear. I just came back from vacation and scoped out all the parks near me to go running. I went to the hotel laundry room repeatedly only to wash my running clothes. Lol.
What a cute video 😂 Thank you. I needed this this morning
👍
They just don't make washing machines big enough for runners! If I'm not sweating i haven't done anything!
Haha! So true!!
That reminds me, there's stuff in the dryer. I'll be right back
'Comparison is a thief of joy'
Like that one 😁👍
You can get it on a t shirt :)
@@runningchannel I take that line with me while running 😉
guys i am hooked! you are such a lovely bunch and maybe when this whole nightmare ends i will meet you at one or running clubs of London :)
Having a car behind you and race them to the nearest corner.... Or speeding up one sizing up
I’m a runner and I’m 11 years old I do all these things lol
Welcome home , I am 65 and still doing all these things.
lol.. i love you guiz...
you really study the lifestyle of runner...
New Years Day is spent researching, scheduling, and signing up for as many races as possible, flagging those that you want, but do not have an open registration and making sure you haven't scheduled one during a holiday.
That’s a good one!!
Love your vids keep up the good work
Cheers James. Thanks so much for watching 🙌
Thanks
Just found this channel. So much good vibes. Love it!
Thank you!
Jesus. I thought this video would be a little laugh. But everything on the list, I'm like, "Yep. Do that too." Drawer full of running clothes? Two, one for shorts and singlets, one for buffs, headbands and gloves. Try to guess the pace of other runners? I do it when I pass runners in the car. And my runs *have* to end in .00, .25, .50 or .75. Vid hit home, is what I'm sayin'.
Thanks for watching 🙌 Your running gear sounds very organised!
I was laughing so hard at Sunday morning is earlier than Monday, had to sub, then I saw the Pope comment, very impressive, well done.
Awesome! Thank you!
😂😂😂from were? You guy's came from? I been watching your videos lately and I watch and laugh at the same time cause every situation, event or experience that you guys mention match perfectly with a runner's life...😂😂😂 I will call this RUNNERS LANGUAGE...congratulations for your awesome videos...greetings from a Chicago runner
I love this channel😍
Thanks for watching! 🙌
I watched this when I first started running and enjoyed but rewatching now is getting slightly worrying as I now tick most boxes!!
Brilliant! 😂
I identity with all of them except I wish everything I heard would just stay in kilometres. I can't memorize get annoyed when I can't immediately convert.
Don't worry, Anna's terrible at maths too...

I don’t run and I’m subscribed to the running channel...
That's awesome!
The Running Channel need to start running tho 😂 what’s the best running shoe in you’re opinion
It is interesting that I saw this video when it came out and I thought I was perhaps just 1 of these... And now, I think I am all of them.
Love it. I didn’t know there were a lot of us like this.
Welcome to a whole community of us!
The Running Channel yes it is a wonderful community. A community of crazy people that love running!! I love it...... Keep up the great work! FYI the English accent is great to lessen too.
Yes is so good to be a Runner
The best 🙌
I have definitely run around the grass outside my house to round up 👍🏃
We’ve all done it 🤦🏻♀️
Hey running channel don’t forget when it’s been one or two days when you haven’t ran bc something prevented you and your whole body is just saying GET UP AND RUN!!!!
I am about to give up on running. I have tried so hard to improve my running skills and speed but whenever I join any running group I am always last and behind. I feel so disappointed with myself and I questioned whether or not I should keep on running! So many of what you have said is applicable to me but I still feel something must be wrong with my capability to improve my speed. For a whole year I am running 6.26/1k and I haven't improved.
All. Totally
I'm a new runner and it still resonated 😍
So glad you can relate!
Me and my xc team can definitely say that we are open when it comes to talking about bathroom problems 😂
You all nailed it 👏 😊
100% with the distance. Heading East 2kms is the ugly house, 2.5k is Surf st, 3.3 the Long Jetty. West, the chicken coop is 700m, the bridge 1.7 and 4km is the white poles past Eddie's take away shop.
It's true. You gotta take a shit before you run.
always
love it!! and yep, I'm a runner!!
👍
Saw you guys at The Great North Run
Was Gona pop and say hello. Bit by time I dropped my gear at the bus you had gone
Ahh sorry we missed you Stephen! Hope you had a great day 🙌
@@runningchannel it was good but looking to get back to running more and in the hills. Keep it up guys n girls
You guys are awsome!!!! IM NOT CRAZY.....IM A RUNNEEEEEEER....LOL
Crazy? Runner? Kind of the same thing 🤷🏻♀️
@@runningchannel 😁😄😀👏
I was laughing at the running in circles to get in that last piece of distance. I love looking at my course after those runs. FIrst 90% is are nice blocks or lines, the last 10% looks like a tangled ball of yarn. LMAO
So I suscribed this channel because I'm a runner
Very nice video, congratulations from Brazil!
Thanks José! 🙏🏼
Read the video title and thought: I'm lazy and slow, I will probably score 5, maybe 6.. Passed the test with a flying 8 out of 10... Very proud of myself :)
👌👏
Oh dear 10 out of 10!
Well done Mark 👏! Any others we missed?
The Running Channel when you order your work week according when you are going to run!!!
I'm 90% of them 😆, Great video!
Excellent! We hope the 10% isn’t that you’re not subscribed though...😉
No been a sub for a while now! 👍 it's a fantastic channel.
Correct answer! haha! Thanks for sticking with us ☺️
🗣️ COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOOOOOOOOYYYY!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love all three of you 🙏🙏🙏
I have all these traits hahaha (except the Sunday morning one)
😂
My friend on race day will go to the toilet as close to start time as possible and still need to go for three or four pees during the race. It’s absolutely unbelievable how many times he goes. I have learned how to convert KM into miles as I always train by KM but when I do runs, I normally set the distance to miles (strange I know 😂). I have a cupboard specifically for running trainers as my mum got to annoyed by having so many trainers by the front door 😂
Is your friend Anna by any chance? She does that alll the time! Great work on the miles / km maths! You’d give Kate a run for her money. And yep, you’ve gotta have a trainers cupboard - or plenty of space under the bed!
I also find it very hard not to look at my watch when training or racing as I love to soak up as much data as I can
Love you Guy's.. Blessings
10 out of 10 for me!
Thanks for watching! 🙌
The even number one is the worst! When I had a GPS watch I couldn't possibly finish with a pace of 7:03/mile. I'd end up racing my last half mile trying to get it under 7 like my life depended on it!
That’s serious dedication to rounding up!
Literally do all of these!!!
Haha! And any extras??
Yes!
Convincing everyone to start running, usually “come do a park run”
When you own more running shoes than normal shoes
When you look at another runner in your local area to see if you know them or not.
When you’re running calendar takes over your social calendar “oh sorry can’t make that date, got a race /training session etc”
When the only watch you wear is your running watch... constantly...
These are great!! Watch this space for part 2!!
Sooo true most of these 🤗
Any we forgot?
