I Beat Minecraft's April Fools Update ▫ One Block At A Time FINALE [Ep.5]

- Our journey playing Minecraft One Block At A Time finally reaches its end. We locate the stronghold, build an End Portal, go to the End, and see what awaits people who are able to defeat the ender dragon.
Along the way we've discovered awesome redstone technology, game-breaking physics experiments, and new ways of playing the game.
We haven't had time to cover everything about this snapshot here on UA-cam! We'll do one final stream on Sunday wrapping up all the stuff I wasn't able to cram into this series. We might try to fight the Wither?
Make sure you try it for yourself sometime, or at least read the Minecraft Wiki article about it to see what happens with barrels, pigs, soul fire, and bees!

I anticipated the chicken falling into the void and thought he was just going to jump into the void and respawn so he could get another... cue my "wait, what!?!?!" as I realized what he was actually doing
This whole adventure has been beyond epic, but this video was a worthy conclusion! I have a massive grin on my face. I love the fact there was the dramatic music for the chicken flight bits, but no music for the dragon flight.
Wouldn't have been able to hear the music over all the roaring! 🤣

All I could think about during that end boss battle was my janky as heck skeleton turret code. So glad I made it apply to the root of the mob stack so the chicken flying fight could be possible

I think that was quite possibly the greatest MC video I have ever seen.
This was a wild ride and I enjoyed every second of it! Shame that this has to be the end, but it will be nice to see the survival guide again

I think this is literally the most badass dragonfight I've ever seen (anyone else with the Ride of the Valkyries stuck in your head?)! It was a blast to follow you through this snapshot in videos and livestreams!
This was a great series and a really unexpected spin-off to the survival guide. This served better than any other alternative to skyblock survival guide, and I bet not even Mojang saw this coming!
Kinda cool to see how in-depth this joke update is.

This was incredible! I don't know what it is, but I love the vibe of this snapshot. A lot of things feel... almost more real, when you can only carry one thing at a time. Even the chicken flight lol. I also absolutely did not expect the dramatic music during said chicken flights but it was an amazing addition.
@Meeko - hasn't seen grass since 2020 Oh, sorry for the confusion in my wording - I'm familiar with the fact that this is the April Fools snapshot! The "I don't know what it is" phrasing was more like saying "I don't know why this is so compelling, but it is".
this episode was outrageous, like WHAT?! that dragon fight was hilarious and amazing!

Congrats on finishing this wacky adventure, and good luck next week - I expect that you'll dig something up and leave it behind, expecting it to be automatically picked up, at least once.
It's been a while since I last laughed in awe of something. The End portal breaking, the chicken void jump, the dragon fight, the bedrock... Literally awesome! Thank you for this miniseries!
The skeleton plus zombified pigman tower at 13:08 was hilarious, and I want that as a short clip without context. Loved this series, Pix!

What a fantastic conclusion to this miniseries. The dramatic chicken music was so good for it.
Also, what this series really brought me around to is how _playable_ this snapshot really is. I played around with it myself on April 1, took it as just a joke snapshot that wasn't really meant to be that playable, and you really proved that wrong. I've since started my own world in my own attempt to find a stronghold and ride the dragon completely in survival, and the mechanics of it are so good once you get used to them. It's definitely more difficult than traditional vanilla, but _it works_ in its own weird way.
"Ah dang, the chicken fell off the platform. What is he going to...oh, going back to the overworld to get another chi-NO WAY. NO WAY! NO WAY!!!!!"
That mid-void chicken rescue was incredible. Well done.

I didn't realize the skeletons shot in the direction you were looking until the ender dragon fight! That's amazing! Hahaha, I loved this!
The ender dragon did seem to be going where you were looking, just like like the skeleton's bow shots were doing, but it looked like it was on a delay and plus the dragon's odd animations. But you were looking up so the dragon was going up, you looked left so the dragon went left but before the dragon could obey your command you looked right, so it immediately veered right after it had obeyed your left command. I think you were in control, it just understandably didn't feel like it.
This has been a delight to watch!
Yeah, I read the Wiki after this episode (I'd been avoiding it the whole time so I could discover stuff organically) and it mentions the dragon steers using your camera, not the WASD keys. It still feels like it's out of your control, haha
OK, I've been watching you since 2018 and that thing where you threw yourself into the void to catch the chicken is easily the most epic thing I've ever seen you do. What an episode! This series deserved way more views.

Well, I can't tell you what I expected when I saw you go into the dragon fight, but it definitely wasn't MLG Chickening (?!) out of the void! A truly spectacular end to a fun series!!!

This really was one heck of a series! I ended up smiling basically at any new bit you introduced to us and especially this last episode with the chicken bits and all. Thank you very much for an epic change from the survival guide (not that that's bad or anything), it was really phenomenal.

I figured we'd still need to destroy the crystals, and I already knew from our stream last week that you pick them up by punching them... Throwing items is weird in this update and you can't fire bows, so I figured it'd have to be either a skeleton or a snow golem. Skeleton was funnier :P
@@Pixlriffs Possibly have picked up a bedrock, and have a dispesor throw said bedrock at the dragon? Think that might have worked on killing him? Especially when he's sitting still while brooding. Regardless, i completely agree with mickle, you are the ingenius madman!!

That ending was so much fun! I guess you could ride the dragon to the outer islands, but of course there's nothing there you could actually use.
Yeah, even if you could equip Elytra they only have 1 durability. You could fly for one second before they broke 😅
That chicken flying gave me some serious Ocarina of Time small link vibes. What a fantastic mini series, really enjoy the wackiness!

This is why Pixlriffs is my fav minecraft youtuber. he literally turned himself into the attack helicopter meme. I do really wish he'd have taken and end portal frame to yeet at the dragon's head to insta-kill it, tho. Hopefully, he'll do a surprise bonus episode where he does that, and uses that trick on the wither.

I don't normally comment on videos but Pix this was awesome! You never fail to entertain, catching the chicken in the void, obtaining a portal block, using the skeleton as your bodyguard, even the music during the fight, it was all great! Easily my favorite UA-camr, can't wait to see what you come up with next.

You're actually safe from pigs; even from a spawner, they require grass to spawn on. 🤣
Yeah, I realized that off-camera when the room clearly wasn't spawning pigs - I figured they must either need grass blocks or sky above them to spawn. So stuffing it into a cupboard was actually a good way to avoid it altogether!

I was curious if you can kill the Ender Dragon by throwing bedrock at him. I checked it and... well... the result was interesting. When you do that the dragon flies away (I cannot tell exacly. It looks like it just disappears or teleports} by some absurd distance. To see what happened I teleported to the dragon and then I was at -2000 blocks height and the Ender Dragon was there as well.
While I did miss the survival guide this week, this was honestly so entertaining it more than made up for it. Best dragon fight I've ever seen. XD

The 22w14 One Block At A Time update is basically Mojang's biggest prank to its community, since they provided players with everything they desired(unobtainable blocks in survival, portable spawners, hidey hole block, rideable dragon) while crippling them in the funniest way possible!
