I'm 34 years old now. I was told about Salvador Sanchez when I wad 25. So I discovered him later in life and I'm glad I was put onto him. He has become my favorite boxer of all time with what video of his career I can find.
What I really like about him was how he respectfully walks to his corner when he knew he did some damage, not trying to still beat one down on the ground
He looks like he’s brawling mindlessly but he’s so textbook . He’s doing everything right and when it looks like he’s been hit he’s actually rolling and slipping and countering . Guy could’ve been ranked up there with Ali imo
Because of his curly hair, I suppose he has some African DNA in him, like most Mexicans. We are an interesting mix of Native American, European, Asian, Arab and African blood.
My dad used to tell me about Sanchez, had videos on him too, apparently 6 boxers who he beat went on to become world champions after his death at such a young age,one of the best ive ever seen.

should've called him Mexican terminator the man didn't back away an inch even with punches being thrown at him just stood his ground every time and focused on what he was gonna do not the opponent one of the greatest for sure
Emanuel Penado the will power, heart and determination to stand the with a world champ and go toe to toe is incredibly insane. Any boxer who steps in the ring gains my respect
He did backed away, if stepping away dodging is not technically backing away then I dont know what your talking about. He had everything. He even fought backwards, fought well even on the ropes like Ali
Sanchez was and always will be a legend in this sport. I saw many of his fights and he will always be on the top of my list as the most skillful, powerful champion I've ever seen. The sport will never be the same again after his passing.

From what I have read and seen Salvador Sanchez was a magnificent fighter .I have read that many boxing historians/ experts believe that he would have established himself as being the greatest ever featherweight in the history of the sport but for his early , tragic death !
+TheHumbuckerboy Indeed, a phenomenal fighter he was. He still has a very good resume though especially for his young age. I don't think we'll ever see anyone like him again.
+haNZAgod Yeah, a brilliant resume ; so many fights and wins against class fighters for such a young fighter .These days champs just don't seem to be what they used to be !
+haNZAgod I've been a student of boxing for a long time, reading watching fights and studying whatever the case may be. I feel like I didn't do enough because I've never heard of this this man and I feel uneducated.. If it wasn't for a video game. (fight night round 4) I would have eventually read about him but not soon enough. teddy atlas mentions his name. He is definitely tops my book. I just wish his interviews had English subtitles. I heard he was one thee most humble men in the sport.. hope to see him on the other side.

By the time Sanchez was 23..Sanchez not only destroyed Puerto Rico's Greatest Boxer in the Great Wilfredo Gomez..Sanchez also Stopped Africas Greatest Boxer in Azumah Nelson..Let that sink in! Iron Lungs was on another level!
Big Happy mayweather would spark him cmon man, way quicker, better chin and better boxing iq. Everyone can “beat” mayweather till it’s all over then it’s excuses
@@pitbull8625 Mayweather needed doping (vampire facials), took xylocain, tested 100 times over the allowed amount of IV fluid (that`s done to mask a substance) Mayweather was a piece of shit hypocrite that didn`t want to fight with boxers that had agility & used the jab. That`s why he fought strong slow flat footed fighters. The good ones he fought were past their primes & he still struggled because they used the jab on him.

The Mexican Nostradamus of boxing. He had combinations preparing to counter while exchanging
My favorite fighter of all time, rest in peace goat
After the jab, the 45 is 2nd greatest punch. Hybrid between an uppercut and a hook. Sanchez, Pacquiao and Delahoya was masters of that punch.
What I really like about him was how he respectfully walks to his corner when he knew he did some damage, not trying to still beat one down on the ground
Fuck, Little Red Lopez took those shots like a man, can´t believe he didnt go down.
jay foreman Agreed. Lopez was one tough S.O.B
Nice video! I thing one of the best ever.
tito Thanks man. He truly is one of the all time greats
Fucking shame, he would have been on his way to be the greatest Mexican fighter that ever lived and perhaps an all-time great among Robinson and Ali.
Yeah I think he had potential to be the greatest Mexican fighter of all time it fucking sucks that we will never know LEGEND
yea all we can do is wonder how great he could've been its a shame we will NVR kno
I agree, lots of ppl overlook him because of his early death. But his short career is better than most

He looks like he’s brawling mindlessly but he’s so textbook . He’s doing everything right and when it looks like he’s been hit he’s actually rolling and slipping and countering . Guy could’ve been ranked up there with Ali imo

Mike Tyson. Roy Jones and James Toney brought me here. Those greats said he's the best Mexican fighter they ever seen.

They call him the Mexican Bruce Lee. He was that good.

Yes his specialty was taking apart knockout specialists.
Stood his ground and still made them miss LEGEND 🙌
