Exposed sides and buttons. It doesn’t matter if the case it’s made out of Mjolnir steel, materials tend to flex when dropped and well, those exposed parts are begging to take a direct hit, rendering the Kevlar useless. And also accidental contact with keys, coins or some other pocket hazards are going to scratch the metal wherever it’s not protected. It’s like that female armor anime trope, but in this case it’s just great material with scantly protected areas

How many times has a person dropped his/her phone and the exposed areas you’re referring to were damaged? More times than not if and when you drop it, its hitting on one of the four corners. At the end of the day its a damn device, which isn’t an asset at all. So if it gets scratched up from day to day use, who in the hell cares??? As long as it functions properly is what matters.

@@ResplendentRaider most of us? Cellphones fall in random patterns, and if you have the front portion of the lower edge exposed, it will most likely be dented or bent. And answering your question: me, about 10 years ago I dropped my iPhone while it had one of this cases and it got pretty banged. That’s how I know they do jack shit for protection, the design is to make the phone prettier with a case, not to actually protect it. Ever since that day I’ve had a no exposed edges policy and it served me well

@@panzerlionAgain, the odds are extremely low, unless a person is just clumsy. Then if that’s the case, this product is not for you. I’ve had numerous Apple leather and silicone cases with the bottom exposed and never had a damaged phone..never. And whoever had those leather cases know, its like a bar of soap until it starts to patina, so I had plenty of drops.
