A card reference pop up/showcase would be really helpful
yeah this. you guys clearly have your decks in mind, but a slight pause with a card display would be amazing for those just stepping in... for pause-ability.
Less than 2 min. into the video and I already like the quick intro, quality, setup and brief explanation of the Avatars and key elements of each deck. Subbed and looking forward to more SCR content.
Really great video. Looking forward to more content.
First time watcher here - been looking for gameplay videos and this was great. One suggestion, (this would add a lot of editing) including a blown up picture of the card text when you play something would be great so that new players could read what certain cards do!
@@ontheplaycoAwesome. Loved watching!
Fantastic video! Great job!
I can comfirm, and you can probably tell from yhe video, Jackson's deck is very mobile.
It's the perfect Sorcery gameplay video with major Team Covenant vibes. The only thing I would comment about is the black on black. I'm assuming you're doing it to be less distracting but maybe (like a lot of people) you both just wear a lot of black t shirts haha.
awsome video! REALLY love your production quality! :) the only improvement suggestion i'd have is to maybe add some background music? just to avoid too much silence, to keep the ears a bit buisier :P
Yo, Jackson was spicy on that last game hahaha
Here from the SpellSlingers account! Can't wait for more content!!
Cool video! great production! nice to see someone using nice cameras where we can see the cards being played and the audio is nice.
good video quality, great people and gameplay. Subscribed! Keep up the gameplays!
Really enjoyed the video! Looking forward to checking out more
Can't watch now, but I definitely will later.
Awesome video my friend!! Nice to see more gameplay!
Great video gents, keep them coming! (with a card popup/overlay ideally)
Enjoyed the walkthrough of potential plays and lines. Great vid. Also 69th comment niceeeee
The tagline for this channel is amazing. ❤️
Best quality tabletop video I've seen. You guys give the official Sorcery vids and Team Covenant a run for their money! Also really enjoy the friendly sh*ttalking haha
I didn’t understand anything that happened. GOO JACKSON!!!
Video looks great, games were great. I’ll be waiting for more from you guys for sure!
Absolutely amazing! Gameplay, sound, pacing, ambient, quality just everything is on point. Much love, your boy Stirnlappenbasilisk ;D
Great video. Great games. I know you said you have TTS content coming, but I always prefer IRL gameplay.
Fantastic video! I appreciate the game using physical cards that could be identified from above instead of TTS. Nice sub in with the foil death dealer. I also liked the introduction to the decks and any discussion into what you were doing or looking for. I’ll be watching for more videos!
I can't lie this video is awesome, such interesting and different decks! I love them both! And I can't wait to see all the other content you guys are going to put out you guys got a sub from me for sure!
It would be cool if they had a Trap style deck to place on your lands or druid style, were each turn your lands grow roots that deal like 2 damage and immobilize for a Turn.
Awesome video guys, the production value is insane, you're putting professional event to shame.
Super easy to follow and clear play, really good.
I hope you have plenty of in person gameplay videos to follow.
At the beginning you're talking about tutorial videos, do you have something about deck archetypes in the making? Like Seer aggro or Deathspeaker control.
PS: What rig are you using for the top down camera and what is the camera attached to it ? Cheers guys, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much! Extremely kind words and we greatly appreciate it!
We absolutely have many more in real life (IRL) videos in the near future!
And yes, we plan on doing many deck-tech/deck arch style videos but will gladly take any recommendations you would like to see and I will prioritize.
Regarding my top down rig, this was done with a boom arm and c-stand however I've upgraded to a ceiling mount. And the camera is a Sony a7IV
I cant wait for more videos!
Great video! Looking forward to more content.
I'm looking forward to playing myself, but haven't been able to get a hold of cards.
One piece of feedback would be to highlight blown up versions of cards as they come up for newer players to read.
Thanks for the content!
Excited for more content guys. Awesome stuff :)
Denton very nice! My LGS out in Sherman has sorcery matches every weekend! I have yet to get into it since I’m so invested in MTG
That's awesome! Yeah, I get that..ever since I started playing Sorcery though, I haven't played MTG again. I watch a ton of it on Twitch but I haven't played in months. -Drew
Really enjoyed the video style! Great videos, subbed!
Wow, thank you so much for your sub. We greatly appreciate it!
Very nice , looking forward to more content!
Thank the algorithm for showing me your channel, high quality content, solid banter and I'm also just south of Denton!
Awesome vid - in a lot of ways! Looking fwd to more
Great stuff! Please come out with more gameplay showcasing different avatars!!
Absolutely! We've been in the kitchen cooking on some new decks! ;)
That poor desert, what did it do to deserve that? 😅
Where on earth did that beautiful playmat come from?
Great video! Checked out the channel! More content like this video! The PC version on tabletop isn’t the same at all.
Absolutely! After March of the Mortals, I'll be posting a lot more IRL gameplay :)
For those of us who don’t really know what almost any of the cards do without reading them, would you be able to add some kind of card reader ??
@@ontheplaycosweet, thank you
Awesome video!
Quick intro was clutch
Absolutely! Get right to the gameplay!
definitely enjoy in person matches over digital, hope to see more. also love the channel name.
I get that! Yeah, I recorded some IRL gameplay this weekend and recording more this week. Stay tuned! :)
That was the best Sorcery play through I’ve seen yet. Great work.
Thank you so much! More to come after MOTM! :)
I really dug this video- it's the kind of content I've been looking for, for this game. Decks built to do well, fun back and forth, and seeing how the meta plays out. Love hearing the snap of the cards on the mat too.
I do think reading what a card does, the first time you play it, (if it matters at the time of play) would be helpful.
subscribed , very nice and fun to watch, learning alot
Thank you so much! I'm so glad!!!
I really enjoyed this. Making new friends is what games are all about. And also loved seeing some new strategies. Thanks!
Best game play video I’ve seen! Learned a ton! Thanks!
Thank you SO much, I'm so glad to hear that! :)
Amazing content. Super psyched to see more games!
This is the level of content I want to be making. Great stuff guys love to see it!
Would love a tutorial vid as I have no idea what’s going on haha. Great vid tho
@@ontheplayco awesome can’t wait to watch
Hey guys, great video. I have a question regarding the Major Explosion cast by the Wizard's Apprentice. The rule book states - This Spellcaster may only cast spells that match the required element (X). For example, Fire Spellcasters may only cast spells that have a Fire threshold icon (marked with [fire threshold icon]). Was the Apprentice Wizard legally allowed to cast the Major Explosion for some reason that I'm not aware of?
Thanks!
Good question. Your Avatar is also a spellcaster. The only limitation regarding what spells can be cast FROM a spellcaster is when that minion specifically mentions "Air/Fire/etc" Spellcaster, as you point out in your post. Since the Wizard is not an "Air" Spellcaster, you can cast any spell, regarding of element from him.
Thanks for the reply.
I have literally just realised that and returned here to correct myself. I missed the [X] part before the Spellcaster in the rulebook.
Thanks for clarifying 🙂
Really great stuff! I love seeing the physical cards and not TTS. At 24:10, Drew uses his Avatar of Air ability twice in the same turn! EDIT: As noted by Drew below, there was an Updraft Ridge, and thus the Bat could take two steps! Well played!
Suggestion for type of video: Card spotlight, where you breakdown some maybe less obvious applications, review every kind of archetype that it works well with, other cards and strategies it synergizes with, etc. This could be a WHOLE series of content, just one card at a time, depending on how fierce of a breakdown you do each time.
Thanks for the comment Daniel and I think this is a great idea! Will absolutely be added to the list. Any specific card you'd like to see first?
I've been running Sparkmage combo maximizing air threshold per turn and moving him around to keep the board clear, and a fire spells deck, so I'd love to see more submerge/burrow stuff, since those are what I'm least familiar with. If I had to pick, Root Spider and Undertaker Engine seem very strong.@@ontheplayco
Fantastic stuff! Glad I found your channel.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you found it as well! :)
Best sorcery content I’ve seen yet! Can’t wait for more.
Obligatory support comment.
I appreciate that! :)
Just shows how MTG paved the way for mechanics to names of game pieces to game play. They were ahead of their time.
what the name of the life counter app ?
It's called Lotus
You removed Great Wall from the air deck?
RIP
Great game and excellent production! Looking forward to more!
Thanks AngerWorm! Hope you're able to check out our other videos on the channel :)
@@ontheplayco For sure!
yo this game must be good if they got Jesus himself to play it
This video is very well produced. Looking forward to more shows ❤
Thank you so much! :)
@@ontheplayco keep up the good work. You have a good thing going. I know it’s a ton of work to make a single video. You are a rockstar.
@@sixformscg That means SO much, thank you! And I've binged a bunch of Six Forms content. Excited to play it!
Hey do i need the mat to play?
No, i mostly play on my cloth mat from khalsagames. You just need to agree with your opponent, where does the grid start, because a lot of random effects, like headless haunt movement, randomly applies to the grid.
I used to play Duelist Roses on PS2 when I was super young. I had no idea what was going on but I loved the idea of a tactical cardgame played on a board. THIS IS IT! Super excited to have the precons here with me and force my friends to learn this game.
LETS GO!!!!
would be nice if there was a popup with the card being played(at least I don't know all the cards) otherwise great video
Check out my newest videos. This has been added! :)
@@ontheplayco oh ok, great
If you guys are in east Texas I'd love some people to play this game with!
We're in the DFW area :)
Do y'all still play at reaper? I am not too far from there. Still trying to see if this is a game I want to get into.
From playing Magic as a kid to Poker as an adult, the depth of this game seems new and very intriguing and I actually look forward to playing this more than hitting the poker tables! Definity going to make a similar air build. Enjoy the content, thanks!
In game 2 when he chain lighting 3 times did I miss count or does he only have 5 mana?
I played a Lone Tower that turn which gave me an additional mana for the turn so 5 sites but 6 mana that turn.
- Jackson
@@ontheplayco oh I totally missed that thank you so much!! I love the game play videos I can’t wait to see more
