This was also annoying to me because why did it have to circle back to Jenny needing Blair for something. She was fresh, new and innovative she could very well have been their competitor.

People don't like Jenny because she's what happens when the victim of a bully now has a vendetta against those who did what they did to her. They made everyone on this show who didn't come wealth the bad guys - Vanessa, Dan, Jenny, Rufus they portrayed their characters this way because they want people to think of lower class people as less than and people who should be "kept in their place" so to speak. It's the same way the industry and Hollywood is, they don't like people who rebel against them. I always say tv shows, movies etc. are made for a deeper reason and it's to program you into submission when it comes to the upper class who have stolen and profited off of the backs of the poor, lower class. they can't have you thinking it's okay to fight back in these shows because you might actually try to do it in reality.

What Agnes did to Jenny was one of the worst things that happened on the show. She drugged her, put her in a Taxi, and then sent her to a bar full of grown men with the hope that one of them would assault her. That was awful, the show villainized her so much in the end and for what? At the very least I was glad she got out of the city eventually and didn’t return until the finale. And she looked happy there so I like to fill in the blanks and imagine that she made something of herself away from the toxicity.

I didn't know Taylor was so young when the show was on. I remember the press used to talk so much crap about her and part of the story about her leaving the show was because no one on set wanted to work with her anymore. What Agnes did to Jenny was one of the worst things that happened on the show. She drugged her, put her in a Taxi, and then sent her to a bar full of grown men with the hope that one of them would assault her. That was awful, the show villainized her so much in the end and for what? At the very least I was glad she got out of the city eventually and didn’t return until the finale. And she looked happy there so I like to fill in the blanks and imagine that she made something of herself away from the toxicity.

Actually Taylor Momsen was born in 1993 like me, so she he was actually playing her exact age and I remember this show starting my freshman year in '07. Still gross they had her doing intimate things as a minor. Probably starting filming in 2005-06
Actually she was 12, they shot the pilot 2 years before it aired for viewers, Taylor said so herself in her interview with Penn that she was 12. The pilot is usually always filmed 1-2 years before it gets picked up by the network so that they don’t film an entire show and it ends up not being picked up or cancelled. In 2003 she was 10 and filming began in 2005 so her being 12 is accurate. It was still gross like you said though because no one on set was her age they were all in their 20s
