SONY A77 AF on video S mode

IMPORTANT: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON FW1.04 ANYMORE!
Somehow managed to get the autofocus to work on video shutter priority mode for the SONY A77.
Just gonna leave the steps below:
1. go into meu and switch the AF/MF button function to toggle.
2. turn the dial into your dedicated video icon.
3. go to P mode.
4. press the AF/MF button and switch to MF.
5. Press the Fn button and navigate to the top left.
6. switch into S mode for video.
7. By now you should be in S mode video with MF on.
8. Turn off your A77
9. Turn it back on.
10. You should see the camera in S mode video with continuos AF.
Side Note: not sure if this affects the results but my physical AF/MF dial below the lens is on A (not S, C of MF)

you can also semi-controlling the shutterspeed in the auto mode using the exposure compensation ( - increase sutterspeed / + decrease )
i've read somewhere that the reason why they didnt enable the autofocus in manual movie modes is because when the aperture is smaller than some value (maybe about f5.6) the autofocus sensor will receives no light at all

can you try this tip, to control aperture and having auto focus?
Maybe with a lens @ f/1.8 ?
Is that possible ?

i have the a99. i absolutely do not understand how to use settings in video specially the focus. i go for automatic settings. do i have to put it on wide focus or what mode. if i also have face recognition which is at a different distance how does it work. if you could send me an answer on kekiunwalla@gmail i would be thankful.
