Then it's also a rescue mission, which would make Chrollo even more invested in Tse than Hisoka for a moment.

Being a specialist chrollo is at a disadvantage fighting opponents like hisoka who are close to enhancement. Hence he comes out with a plan to kill hisoka.
I like chrollo for the same reason I like kurama and sensui. Togashi just really knew how to give certain characters a presence of realism. I feel like a fight between kurapika and chrollo would end up with both of them dead. I think togashi was going in the direction where kurapika would win against chrollo and hisoka would be killed by chrollo.
Chrollo's physical abilty is one of the best we've seen in the show. Let's look at Silva. When he killed cheetu, zeno said that to cheetu that looking wouldn't have helped anyway. Implying that Silva was too fast for him. Yes Silva is faster then the guy who is faster then bullets. But chrollo is even faster because Silva had no opening to attack all while chrollo was dodging the attacks of zeno Chrollo's speed is superior to any charachter we've seen in the series (Except meruem) and thats without his nen. And his fighting style is very formidable. He doesnt rely on only his nen or brute force. We know that because in the zoldyck fight he used a poisoned knife. He's like batman. He has a variant set of options that he can use for any situation. Let's not talk about his intelligence. As a 10 year old kid he self taught 2 languages in a span of a week. He also predicted the internet while being a little kid and created the dark web at 14 years old
The reason Silva had no opening was because Chrollo was dodging Zeno's attack at the last minute, which had nothing to do with Silva's speed. What you said doesnt prove Silva > Chrollo in speed.
Meruem, Netero, Killua, Pitou, Pouf and Cheetu are faster than Chrollo. Probably you're talking about reaction time, and even in that case Meruem, Netero, Killua, Pitou and Pouf (not cheetu ofc) are still faster than him. Silva could have killed cheetu anyway not because he's faster than him, but beacuse he's a better fighter from more or less any point of view: nen, experience, strenght. Cheetu was the fastest on straight line, but wasn't good during fight. He lacked strenght, tecnique, hatsu. Knuckle, who is quite weaker than Silva, was starting to understand his movements and patterns after their little and brief brawl. Chrollo vs Silva in uncertain. Silva cannot attack him freely because he doesn't know which ability Chrollo could use, so he has to risk his life if he chose to attack. Kite’s fight lasted throughout the night til morning and at the end of it Pitou seemed fairly injured from a fight with a ONE ARMED KITE, people forget how big of a difference it makes to have TWO ARMS instead of ONE, sure pitou is still extremely strong with heavy amounts of aura but like Morel said, in a nen battle having more or less aura than your opponent isn’t much of an excuse. when all it takes is a bit of hesitation on the opponent’s part or even the right win conditions for an ability that you’ve kept hidden, it really can go either way. Remember when Killua beheaded Rammot after removing Illumi’s needle ? Killua only got the jump on Rammot because Rammot was caught off guard, hesitated, dropped his aura guard and Killua took advantage and most likely focused and strengthened his aura on his arm to be able to behead him. GOING BACK TO CHROLLO, when it comes down to most cases or scenarios we don’t even know what other abilities Chrollo has in his book plus he, more likely than not, has been in crazy amounts of nen battles to know what to look for while the ants are still learning, crazy fast mind you but it’s not like they know ALL the key aspects to a nen battle compared to someone like Chrollo. Great video. I've always thought Chrollo is equal to Silva and Zeno, and above every Spider including Hisoka. And considering his young age, Skill Hunter's mechanics, dialogue from characters like Melody, and status as a Floor Master, he's definitely experienced at defeating high quality Nen users on a consistent basis. I believe he's defeated many Nen users on Knuckle and Shoot's caliber, or even many users on Morel and Knov's caliber. As for his strength in relation to the Zodiacs, I believe he's weaker than them on principle. To be fair about Shalnark and Chrollo's intelligence, it should be noted that Shalnark figured out Greed Island by using the mechanics and Restrictions of Gallery Fake and Blinky. Without those abilities I don't think he would've figured it out either.

Chrollo being comparable to zeno AND silva is not true imo because it's implied with his fight with them that all it would take is zeno just sacrificing his life and silva would be ok. So chrollo is not stronger than both of them but only indivudally. It makes sense cus chrollo was going to die until silva called off his attack. And idk chrollo's stats but if he's a 4 in physical strength that might imply he trained physically for his fight against hisoka because he's pretty weak compared to other troupe members in the arm wresting (I believe it to be accurate). And silva stated how chrollo got stronger so chroller getting stronger off screen is possible. But hisoka is still alot more physically stronger than him so chrollo is like a low 4 compared to hisoka i'm assuming.
I think the arm wrestling is in reference to physical strength without Nen since when Nobunaga was testing Gon he was caught off guard when Gon uses Nen

Defining stronger still is weird in this story like I said cuz even though one person could beat another, they might be able to beat more people than that guy. And I, still feel like cheetuh and his low iq and bad attitude held him back from beating anyone with reasonable ability. Zazan, however gave a top phantom troupe member (remember what Silva said about them) a tough fight. But Silva, who, despite ultimately killing a member, still felt it was too hard of a fight dealing with a troupe member. But he no diffed cheetuh, I’d be hard pressed to believe he beats Zazan in the same way.

@@Professor_Fiction Cheetu was a complete moron who couldn't make good use of nen even with help from Pouf, Zazan is no genius but was far more competent than Cheetu and there is nothing to suggest Cheetu was just raw stronger. They are the same rank and Pouf afaik only gave him abilities didn't give him aura or stat boosts. Zazan gave Feitan a somewhat decent fight (we don't know how much further Feitan could go but she at least wasn't fodder, she made him use a pretty powerful ability) where as Cheetu got clowned on by Morel and then 1 shot by Silva lol.
Your powerscaling is lacking man. Cheetu wasn't using Ren or Ken and Silva caught him off guard and it was pretty obvious that was an attack with a lot of aura behind it. Silva's punch toward Chrollo didn't look as powerful at all. You shouldn't asssume that every strike someone makes has Ko behind it. Feitan had trouble with Zazan who is a much better nen user than Cheetu, the Troupe even said she is good at using nen. Also not all Spiders are relative in power to one another. Some specalize in combat and some don't and are more about utility. Silva killed a member that is described to be tough but he also took on Chrollo at the same time or immediately after fighting that member hence why its was a difficult mission. I don't see Silva considering someone like Kortopi or the Shizuku as a tough fight. I would put Chrollo and Hisoka on the level of the Royal Guard. Killua said that if it weren't for him and Gon holding Kite down he would have dodged Pitou's dash so if Kite can react to Pitou, I don't see why Chrollo and Hisoka wouldn't. Killua was scared of Illumi despite having Godspeed but he still used Godspeed to stalemate Youpi meaning Illumi who is relative to Hisoka is on the level of Youpi. I would put my money on Chrollo and Hisoka if they were to fight any of the Royal Guard one on one. It would be a high-diff fight but would still win. The databooks are pretty inconsistent and I wouldn't pay them any mind. We don't even know if Togashi even wrote them.

Also not all of Pitou's abilities are for one-on-one combat. Only Trepsichora so she didn't get stronger after creating her nen abilities until she got Trepsichora.

Great video. I've always thought Chrollo is equal to Silva and Zeno, and above every Spider including Hisoka. And considering his young age, Skill Hunter's mechanics, dialogue from characters like Melody, and status as a Floor Master, he's definitely experienced at defeating high quality Nen users on a consistent basis. I believe he's defeated many Nen users on Knuckle and Shoot's caliber, or even many users on Morel and Knov's caliber. As for his strength in relation to the Zodiacs, I believe he's weaker than them on principle.
To be fair about Shalnark and Chrollo's intelligence, it should be noted that Shalnark figured out Greed Island by using the mechanics and Restrictions of Gallery Fake and Blinky. Without those abilities I don't think he would've figured it out either.

Chrollo being comparable to zeno AND silva is not true imo because it's implied with his fight with them that all it would take is zeno just sacrificing his life and silva would be ok.
So chrollo is not stronger than both of them but only indivudally. It makes sense cus chrollo was going to die until silva called off his attack.
And idk chrollo's stats but if he's a 4 in physical strength that might imply he trained physically for his fight against hisoka because he's pretty weak compared to other troupe members in the arm wresting (I believe it to be accurate). And silva stated how chrollo got stronger so chroller getting stronger off screen is possible.
But hisoka is still alot more physically stronger than him so chrollo is like a low 4 compared to hisoka i'm assuming.
I think the arm wrestling is in reference to physical strength without Nen since when Nobunaga was testing Gon he was caught off guard when Gon uses Nen

@@Professor_Fiction well with hxh it’s hard to exactly match up two people to begin with. But based on portrayal in the story, I would always bet on zazan to beat cheetuh. Defining stronger still is weird in this story like I said cuz even though one person could beat another, they might be able to beat more people than that guy. And I, still feel like cheetuh and his low iq and bad attitude held him back from beating anyone with reasonable ability. Zazan, however gave a top phantom troupe member (remember what Silva said about them) a tough fight. But Silva, who, despite ultimately killing a member, still felt it was too hard of a fight dealing with a troupe member. But he no diffed cheetuh, I’d be hard pressed to believe he beats Zazan in the same way.

@@Professor_Fiction Cheetu was a complete moron who couldn't make good use of nen even with help from Pouf, Zazan is no genius but was far more competent than Cheetu and there is nothing to suggest Cheetu was just raw stronger. They are the same rank and Pouf afaik only gave him abilities didn't give him aura or stat boosts. Zazan gave Feitan a somewhat decent fight (we don't know how much further Feitan could go but she at least wasn't fodder, she made him use a pretty powerful ability) where as Cheetu got clowned on by Morel and then 1 shot by Silva lol.

Your powerscaling is lacking man. Cheetu wasn't using Ren or Ken and Silva caught him off guard and it was pretty obvious that was an attack with a lot of aura behind it. Silva's punch toward Chrollo didn't look as powerful at all. You shouldn't asssume that every strike someone makes has Ko behind it.
Feitan had trouble with Zazan who is a much better nen user than Cheetu, the Troupe even said she is good at using nen.
Also not all Spiders are relative in power to one another. Some specalize in combat and some don't and are more about utility. Silva killed a member that is described to be tough but he also took on Chrollo at the same time or immediately after fighting that member hence why its was a difficult mission. I don't see Silva considering someone like Kortopi or the Shizuku as a tough fight.
I would put Chrollo and Hisoka on the level of the Royal Guard. Killua said that if it weren't for him and Gon holding Kite down he would have dodged Pitou's dash so if Kite can react to Pitou, I don't see why Chrollo and Hisoka wouldn't. Killua was scared of Illumi despite having Godspeed but he still used Godspeed to stalemate Youpi meaning Illumi who is relative to Hisoka is on the level of Youpi. I would put my money on Chrollo and Hisoka if they were to fight any of the Royal Guard one on one. It would be a high-diff fight but would still win.
The databooks are pretty inconsistent and I wouldn't pay them any mind. We don't even know if Togashi even wrote them.

You made it sound like Cheetu was stronger than Zazan but still got demolished by Silva and that isn't the case.

The issue I have with your statements is that even if you didn't say Cheetu was in ren or ken you still imply that he was killed by an attacks that Chrollo tanked with ren and that is not true. This isn't DBZ where more aura equals power. Kortopi got enough aura to make 50 buildings but is still pretty weak.

Hisoka can low-diff some members and others will give him a good fight. You can't measure the Troupe as a whole and say Chrollo eclipses them. He is stronger than most of them but might lose to Hisoka.
Kite was fighting Pitou with one hand and that got to decrease his power by a lot and he still gave her minor injuries all over and she considered that fight to be dream-like so no she did not "destroy him horrendously". Also not all of Pitou's abilities are for one-on-one combat. Only Trepsichora so she didn't get stronger after creating her nen abilities until she got Trepsichora.

Why are you lying? I never made such a claim. I said Silva's punch to Chrollo was weaker than the super punch he snuck on Cheetu. I wasn't talking about the Aura Orbs that Chrollo saw coming and tanked together with Zeno.
Yeah Chrollo is stronger but he isn't leagues above all of them as you claim. You said in the previous comment he eclipses them. I don't see him being far stronger than Uvo or Feitan, he would win but it won't be one sided.
You keep on downplaying Kite to no end. It wasn't just one scratch, she had more smaller injuries, and he had one arm and Pitou who loves to fight considered him a very good opponent so she tried to revive him. If it was a stomp like you keep on claiming she wouldn't have been impressed.

It always baffles me when a lot of people just assume post post mortem nen hisoka could defeat chrollo fairly easily or even high diff now. There is absolutely nothing that indicates that hisoka is stronger than chrollo. At best, they’re probably on equal footing.
Remember, chrollo fought both zeno and silva at the same time, while he was not trying to kill them while they were going all out. That alone puts him at the very least above both of them. And those two are surely stronger or at best on par with Illumi. And Illumi is on par with pre death hisoka.
So yeah, at best, hisoka is now as strong as chrollo. At worst, he’s still slightly weaker.
