Motor Yacht Cruising on the ICW - Southbound! Part 7
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лис 2020
- M/Y OLOH departs Charleston, South Carolina bound for Shelter Cove Marina in Hilton Head with a stopover at Safe Harbor Port Royal Marina in Beaufort. On Part 7 of our Southbound journey from New York, before the pandemic, we navigate some notoriously problematic parts of the ICW with the help of Aqua Maps. We also experience a few encounters with HUGE dredging operations and a couple of joyful reunions.
And what will our arrival cocktails be?

Michelle is the best!
Guys, I'm enjoying your videos and Jasper too. I've been binge watching all weekend. I live in Nova Scotia Canada and i own a vacation home in Fort Myers. Your videos remind me of my Mom's days of taking their boat from Halifax to Sarasota for years! Keep up with the great work and Tim's meals look great.
Thank you so much for the kind words - we're so glad you've enjoyed our videos! Halifax to Sarasota is quite a trip!! The stories they must have told. Cheers!
On the bucket list. Cheers from the North Shore of Long Island.
Some of our favorite cruising grounds. Port Wash was our home port for several years. Cheers to you!
Yay shelter cove, Enjoy the Ride
Okay. You boys. This just brings us so much joy watching this... We are restricted with Covid. Thank you for the gift. Tom and Kev
...And one of the best-produced UA-cam series. Seriously. We love the adventure through your eyes.
Tom & Kev - thank you. We're so glad you found us and are along for the ride, particularly in these difficult times. Cheers!.
This is just a lot of fun to watch. I watched these vids in this series and sort of lived vicariously. What a joy to travel like you guys did.
Thanks Mike! We do really enjoy it, as we hope you can tell.
Fun episode! Thanks for sharing.
And thank YOU for watching!
I passed much of same water with a 51ft single-handed. Went far north as Maine from Bahamas and spent summer cruising there before heading back to my home of West Coast Florida. The prime rib dinner of Coinjock was a highlight. I made better time and only a few of same dockage location, plus more time offshore. Love seeing your passage.
Thanks so much. We always find it interesting to see and hear how others cruise and to see familiar places through someone else's eyes.
Thanks for the longer format videos. I really enjoy them. I cruised the ICW last fall and made stops at quite few of the same marinas that you have.
So glad you're enjoying them. We always enjoy seeing places we've been through other people's (and dog's) eyes. Thanks and cheers!
Fantastic video! #jealous ;)
Thanks so much Koree. So glad you enjoyed it!
I like the longer videos, keep it up and stay safe out there!
Glad you like them! We're moving in that direction, no pun intended!
I just came across your channel & am binge watching all your videos. Loving it!
Thanks so much Stephanie! Glad you're enjoying!!
Same! Lol what a life 🤩
What year was OLOH launched?
I can't seem to find the rest of the videos that take you to FL. Did it end here?
For now, yes. We hope to continue the series sometime in the near future.
What breed is Jasper?
Jasper is a rescue pup whose Mom was a Pitbull and, according to the DNA test, Dad is predominantly German Wire Haired Pointer (which makes sense). Lots of his puppy pics at instagram.com/a.j.hammer/
In what year was OLOH launched?
Hi Eric. OLOH was launched by her original owner under a different name in 2004. We've owned her since 2017 😎
@@OLOH thanks for your quick reply. Keep the videos coming.
