Non-fantasy book! Thank you. The extent to which other genres can refresh and inform fantasy, or any fiction, in so many different ways is under appreciated and under discussed.
Always happy to watch your videos, sir. I started world building and currently writing an anthology of short stories of this world to gain more experience in writing prose and fiction. Later on when I have enough experience, I plan to start writing the first book in the series. All your advice really helps and guides through the obstacles of fantasy writing.
Demon Copperhead was my favorite book this year. The author’s ability to retain a light of hope in a crumbling world and have me genuinely questioning what their character would make was poignantly gripping.
The Will of the Many might have been my most informative read this year. I don't think I've ever read another book that did tension as well as TWOTM. A masterclass in making your readers wonder what's going to happen next and who the main character can trust.
Great list Jed, I read two last of those last year as well - Legends and Latte as well as the last jade book. that series builds so much more from the first, they're exellent and the novella (the jade setter of Janloon) is also well worth a read. I've just downloaded breakfast at tiffany's to give it a go as well. Thanks for the recommendations.
Travis Baldree is a legend for Audible. I hear currently Ripple System and then The Primal Hunter. Finished The Beginning after the end and now Cradle too.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my all time favorite books, along side An enemy of the people by Henrik Ibsen. Another book that really captured me last year was Palm trees in the snow! None of them are fantasy, but they are so so good! When it comes to fantasy, I read all the Shannara books for the second time. Loved them just as much now, as when I first read them about 10 years ago 😍
If you liked Jade City (and lived in Vietnam), you should read '36 Streets'. It's an award-winning cyberpunk, written by an Australian, set in Vietnam.
Thanks for your content! I'd love to post what I'm writing myself but it's easy to doubt oneself (just posted my first story on Fictionpress). Watching your stuff feels like a very good help.
make sure to have some coffee and pastries on hand while reading it 😄 I just got the sequel too, Bookshops & Bonedust though haven't been able to get to it yet.
Hello Jed. I've been trying to write a comic book for a while, and I was thinking of signing up for your story coaching program. Is it possible to sign up if I'm not writing a novel, or is that too much?
i was wondering if you could help me with introducing characters NAMES. Specifically the main character because I have been having trouble making it sound right
I have been writing 3 different kinds of stories since feb last year... Actually i wanted to write one story but as more and more ideas and characters emerged it became clear that i needed to cut stuff out and all of that formed stories of their own... recenty one question came to my mind how can i know which format is the right?best? one for my stories? Comic?manga?webcomic? Lightnovel?book? I am kinda stuck because of this... What are your thoughts on this? it is the first time i am working on a story... I have been watching worldbuilding videos and this is how i had discovered your channel.

Well definitely follow your IG! Will you upload reviews and such to Goodreads as well?
GREAT! THANKS!

Excellent video, thank you.
What would you think of making a society of Huvalu's from the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy beings that are a hyper intelligent shade of blue.
Huh. This is actualy how i aproach arguments in general
