    Great advice, don’t forget that keeping your beard moisturized and oiled helps to prevent breakage. I also think taking biotin, collagen and a multi vitamin, drinking water and staying fit helps to prevent breakage. All of these things promote healthy hair. I was over brushing had to stop that also.

    I'm the one who sent you that snap with that month collection of breakage. You told me about upping my vitamin C intake. I hear you say avoid over combing, but I have a question. What if you're combing daily out the shower twice a day, about 60 times a month? The reason why I feel like I should comb is so that I don't give my beard the chance to coil too much and tangle. I guess I haven't found the happy medium, but what do you think about that outlook?

    A lot of insightful knowledge my dude! Gotta question for you. If you live an active lifestyle and you go to the gym, play ball or whatever your choice of sport is and obviously you're gonna sweat in the process. How do you maintain your beard if you're sweating after each workout but only able to wash it once a week? Do you do a light rinse on your beard? Or still just wash once a week and despite being sweaty?

  • @RILLAMAN84

    LA baby lol. I love it out there. I'll be out there in 3 weeks. Taking my kids to Disneyland. But yea man, even though my beard is at the brushing stages, I find myself doing everything you're saying. I'm definitely going to stop. Good looking out B.

    Yo, B appreciate all the great info and videos my brother. My question is what is considered excessive combing? I comb my beard at least 3 maybe 4 times a day. I just can't help it. Mentally it's tough not to. You know what I mean? Keep up the good work my brother.

      Chris Dodges You should only wash your beard once per week unless you get it really dirty, this keeps you from stripping the natural oils and causing excessive drying.

      Omegah TV use povidone-iodine scrub, it's an antiseptic skin cleanser, better than the acidic name brands you'll find.. make sure that directly after you wash your face with it you moisturise.. you can use a nice natural oil that B has at his shop or just some coconut oil or olive oil or whatever(natural is the 🔑)

      How often are you using beard oil and/or beard butter? What ingredients are in your products? Also, use a sugar scrub on your beard. Getting to the root of the issue is in the products you are using or lack thereof.

    • @omegahtv6779
      @omegahtv6779 8 років тому

      Black Men's Beard no doubt fam I will keep that in mind. I use beard oil, I must check the ingredients, but I use it everyday, plus I wash my beard daily. I do have very little greys poppin'up, and use ammonia free dye to cover the greys, but don't put the dye on the area where the acne is cause my skin rejects it.. I also use astringent and now I'm down to "1" stubborn acne bump that refuses to go away, but I notice it's gettin'smaller. I guess"self medication" is helping me. STILL any advice is WELCOMED advice, thank you B With The Beard, and other fellow beard fam. 👍
