There IS a drive / boost block included, it is just hidden, masquerading as faux amp controls (I just realized this myself). The capture already has preferred EQ settings baked in. Under 'advanced settings' you find an entire 3 band parametric EQ including a gain control and you can move it pre or post! You can use the EQ as your boost / OD pedal, it will just look a bit goofy as the controls on the amp are moving. Granted, for full flexibility there should be two EQs, one for pre + post EQ. Curious if that would work for you :) follow up vid plz? @@jimsimmons2674good distortion modelling uses more dsp than clean modulation. I feel like the dsp can't handle a block of distortion modelling. A full stereo tone x with a pre block would be amazing though.

I don't trust having everything saved only in the cloud and I want to create my own patches in the comfort of my pc, my monitors etc. Really a pity.
Great video. The capturing process through the software has a perk which I can’t find in the cortex universe. You can capture your tones/ rigs/ or whatever through great sounding pre amps and great sounding converters. With the cortex captures you can do that too but the last step is and always will be, the converters from the cortex and not whatever you have in your studio. For lots of users this can be fine and „good enough“. But if you have top of the line pre amps (Rupert Neve, SSL, Heritage Audio) and converters (UAD, RME…) in your studio, then you are definitely better off using them to capture everything.
That's a really good point, and another reason I see a lot of pro studios using Tonex over QC. I don't think NDSP can compete there unless they make a stand alone capturing app (I don't think they ever will)
Cool times for guitar tones. Just learned that Hotone Ampero 2 is also getting a capture tech (currently in beta) that seems quite good according to Leo Gibson's video. It's funny that tone capture devices are adding effects and that the Ampero Stage ( still in beta I think) and Ampero 2 modeler multi effects are now adding capture functionality! It would be interesting to have you try it out if you still have the stage! Plus, in theory the ampero would solve the overdrive issue both of those units have since you can move any blocks as you wish! I must admit that new fucntionalities popping up on device is on thing that's pretty cool about software!
Just use the capture with the boost or a real pedal. That's more of the point of tonex or use a tone X1 as what I do.
