I have my CCNA and ENCOR (2022). I have also taken CCNP-CCIE video course but feel like I've lost motivation lately with work and family taking priority. This video has reignited my interest to take the ENARSI test, hopefully in the next year or so. THANK YOU for the straightforward advice and motivation.

This is great, ive recently passed CCNA and am going to try studying towards CCNP using this video as a framework for how I can achieve it; whilst also hopefully getting exposed to more Networking hands on stuff at work - even though i'm not currently a network engineer and am on 2nd line. Thanks!

Hey man, great video! Is the CCNP track in INE included in the fundamentals monthly subscription?
No, that subscription only has associate-level content.
Very well put together video ! Do you think they are going to update the ENCOR OCG to reflect the new blueprint or release a new one ?
(Hopefully the former as I am already studying off of it)
I predict they'll release a new version of the OCG for v1.1 with some sections added/removed and mistakes corrected but keep the majority of the content the same. If you haven't already I would also check out the errata for the first version of the ENCOR OCG as there's quite a few mistakes in there.
Further to this - looks like they're releasing the 2nd edition of the OCG for ENCOR v1.1; see below:

Thank you so much for this video, i just failed my encor exam it was very hard. I had 4 simlabs and all the 4 i didnt pass. The study sources that i had used was the udemy course of kevin wallace and the official book.
No guarantee you'll get the same labs but it's worth writing out what you remember about them for yourself so you can practice the topics of the lab questions. I've heard good things about Kevin Wallace's udemy course but I have no experience with it personally. How did you feel about the questions in general aside from the labs? Maybe you just need more hands-on experience labbing with something like CML, EVE, GNS3 etc.
Most of the question were very detailed, for example some json or python questions. They assume that you can program a whole python script and know the commands to do that. On the lab side i labbed every topic in eve ng but the lab scenario that was provided in the exam were very strange and complex. For example i had to make a bgp connection with a another router and when i have initiated the commands and also on the other side after i runned a show ip bgp route command the routing table was empty😱
@@user-tj9ll4zm5w Yeah, you're definitely expected to be able to read and interpret Python and JSON syntax. If that's something you struggled with that's an easy area to focus on improving. As far as the labs go, at the CCNP level it's usually not as simple as just forming a BGP neighborship. There are many reasons you could have a neighbor in the established state but still not be learning routes from them - 'show ip bgp neighbor [advertised-routes|received-routes]' will at least tell you whether you're sending/receiving the routes. I'd recommend doing some more BGP labbing - if you have access to INE they have a lot of good resources for this.

Hey Leonardo,
This will depend a lot on where you live. Here in Canada I'm seeing orgs tightening up a bit with remote work. Remote jobs are still definitely out there but they're usually restricted to more senior roles in my experience - targetting your CCNP is a good idea if you're looking to work remotely. Fully remote roles get a lot of applicants so doing whatever you can to stand out is worthwhile.

I can't say for sure as I haven't used Network Lessons myself (other than the free article portions etc) but I've heard great things about it! I would still read the OCG as a baseline, but I think that combined with labbing, doing your own reading/research and Network Lessons should be enough.

Did you pay the full year $749 USD INE subscription? I bought a fundamentals sub, and it is not clear whatsoever what videos I have access to and not :)
At the time of making this video I had access to a sub through an employer. Unfortunately Fundamentals is just for associate-level certs, so you won't have access to the material referenced in this guide.
I failed my first attempt at the exam last week. This exam was a different story when you learn from books and videos. i think man need to prepare for the exam. Learn questions and answers.
OCG is published to make sure you fail your exams or either make you fall asleep.
They can be dry at times. What would you recommend as a replacement for them?
@@brunbattery Unfortunately it is a necessary evil, you can get away with White Papers and INE if you have at least over 5 years of networking experience, also labbing as well can making understanding the concepts much easier.
