I have had mine over a year and at one time or another I have had those issues. I did the Serge update and those issues still came up once in awhile. I found that if I take off the negative to the battery for like five minuets then put it back, everything works perfect. I bought mine the same place you bought yours and I absolutely love this unit. Put it back in and enjoy.
It's unfortunate that is has those issues, cause the screen really looks nice in the rango. I'm curious if they reached out to you to offer support for these issues ? There definitely needs to be a USB somewhere to update firmware easier.
Alex, How has this radio worked out for you since you posted this video with the issues? I was thinking of buying one for my RT but know having second thoughts.
I noticed on the first video and again on this video... why do you have to have a separate Carplay input? Does this unit cause you to lose the function of the two USB ports the Durango already has?
I got the 13 inch unit for my durango...Ive had no problems so far....sorry to hear u have these issues ...mines actually have 2 usb ports ,I just ran them in my glove box...I still can't find that interface u have ,with the knobs showing
Mine was awful from the start. I have a Durango and they sent me one showing a jeep and it disabled my windshield wipers and a bunch of other things 😂 I’ve been trying to return it and they won’t respond to me at all.
They did that to me too. Sent me one from China with a scrappy radio L shape tipped antenna & a Jeep image I can't get rid of. It surged my engine light on temporary. I took it out but they refuse ti return it, asking me to post a video
It worked on mine. But having it for a while I realize that it really limits the functionality of your settings as it doesn’t allow customization to A LOT of features that the OEM unit has
Dang did the delivery guy at least apply a little lube before you took receipt of that item. Factory systems of today are always better than aftermarket not the old days anymore when the first thing you changed was the radio.
Oh Yea a usb connect would have simplified the firmware situation. Alex do you think it was the new firmware you did? Any way to roll back to even check maybe in the future when you install it again and if it does the same thing?

Phoenix automotive sucks, Don't waste your time and money. I purchased their 13.6 in radio for my explorer and they sent me a radio that didn't do anything at all. They they gave me a hard time trying to get my refund back. Terrible customer service too
Men I buy my and wait 7 months before I get my and 2 months later my screen goes blank they replace it for a new version but it never works my ac controller doesn't change to heat and the costumers service is suck I lost my money over 1k don't buy this unit
Notice that my back up cam works on the stock radio. That means the android unit had a problem!

Most issues come from firmware updates they need quick and easy options to install them tho

I didn't have a problem with the firmware. I think the USB should be included, or at least over wifi. But I can't find where to change the interface.
They sent me a message with the firmware update, I had to download it on my PC and then install with a USB jump drive
with the stock radio you can do factory updates with the usb

It def sucks. They said they’d get back to me but never did… One thing I should have looked into before I purchased is convenient firmware updates!
All aftermarket stuff is like junk compared to the stock quality & thats almost on all parts you replace

Yes, it causes you to lose your factory CarPlay and you have to use the aftermarket. The PX6 is a poor design I don’t think I’m putting it back on

Did you keep it? I just bought the Android 10 from PA for my JGC 2020. Hope things are going better. lol . The one I purchased came with 2 usb ports.

the issue here is not the radio,
the UI system has been changed by driver himself, so this is the issue
Phoenix Automotive did not engineer the unit. Its a rebrand from cheap Chinese junk you can buy from Aliexpress for a lot less.

Yeah, I never was able to even install the firmware. I think the link they sent was corrupted or something or maybe it’s not able to process on iOS
