The reason it shows 22 degrees is because the car didn’t have auto temp to start with. You need to swap out the fan module behind the glove box. It will fix you right up.
So from what I’ve gathered, all I need is: -8.4 screen -RE2 head unit, as I don’t need navigation I already have the climate control from a different car but without the security thing, and I upgraded the speedometer so I also already have the bezel.
Why did you go through all the trouble of removing the cover for the gearbox? Everything up to @4:43 you don't have to do. Just pop the cover of the ac/radio controls off, reach behind to unhook the control unit and slide it out. The stereo unit comes out enough so you can unhook it, start the car to take it out of park then you can slide the old unit all the way out and slide the new one in.
So when you disconnected the old radio you only unplugged 4 cords but when you installed the new uConnect you installed 6 cables? Where did the extra 2 cords come from

You will need the radio the tablet and all you will need from the car with the 8.4 tablet will be the code on the radio with the vin from the car you are putting it in and the dodge will give you the thief code

I agree with you Christopher. Everywhere I go in New Mexico, even the Dodge Dealerships, keep saying that it will not work because of different "harnesses". I'm glad I just found this video. I have a subscription and move it from the 4.2 inch screen . To the 8.4 rb5 inch screen.but the new rb5 shows no subscription ,SiriusXM says nothing was wrong on their side? I resent signal like 100 times since . Lol any ideas ? FYI , I paid for an odb to fix the temp 22 to normal .
The only thing I could think of would be that the head unit has a different serial number than that of the original one you purchased the subscription for. Chances are the sirius would think of it as a new car and youd probably have to make a new subscription. Lmk if that helped.

If you order from infotainment you they will send you all parts. But you have to give a Vin number. My kit cost 1390 and it's working fine except the fan module needs to be upgraded also.
If you didn't have Bluetooth to start with then its another buy option rather youll need to add to it. "UConnect touch hands free kit" is what it's called on infotainment if you'd like to upgrade for the Bluetooth. Hope this helped.

I will be attempting this same swap but I have a 2013 charger with 4.3 and the charger I'm getting 8.4 from is a totalled 2012. The inside parts are still good so I'm updating the radio. is there anything I need to know or make sure I have other than whats in the video?
Marlon Shaw no. Just what's on the video. The wires from the 4.3 will be re-used on the 8.4 screen along with the four screws. Just to make sure this is what you will need. 8.4 Bezel 8.4 Screen RB5 or RE2 head unit Climate controls with SD card Slot GPS antenna (if you get the RB5)

Kevin White no you can not because the bottom ac controls are apart of the radio unit both have to be for a 8.4 screen otherwise you will just get a white screen

AL Capot sorry for the late reply But yes it's plug and play. the only thing you would need is the anti theft code. You will need it if you bought your radio used but you can take your car to the dealership to get the code.

@@donaldmasters6095 okay, here's the thing. You can use your car's antenna for both the XM Sirius and GPS as it is considered a dual action antenna. If your car does not have an antenna from the factory you will need to purchase a dual antenna which would have a single connection that splits into two and in those two you connect your GPS antenna and your XM/Radio/Sirius antenna.
@@kngmidas8332 you could always look for the parts on different places. Infotainment is convenient but by no means cheap. You'll save a few 100 bucks if you source other places. Good luck and I hope you find cheaper parts 👍

Donald Masters you could most definitely buy it from LKQ. the only difference from infotainment.com is that infotainment sends you the anti theft code. Other than that it's all the same infotainment buys some items from LKQ and resell them.

Donald Masters the dealership may charge you a fee. Also keep in mind you need the climate controls. I prefer infotainment.com because it's a one stop shop and I always tell the to my customers.

I'm not sure but I believe you need that magnetic nav cable and it hooks into where the Sirius radio plugs into

Yes but you have to cut a notch in the new plastic basel for gear shifter.

Are all the connectors pushed in all the way? If everything is plugged in correctly try unplugging the battery for a minute and then try again.

No, Internal sensors do not come in SE's and there's no way to change that. Max A/C does work fine.

No. It says to do so but you can just pull the climate controls out from the bottom. I was just doing the "correct way".

Brian Yopp you will need to purchase an RB5 head unit that's the one with NAV or RE2 which is without NAV. A screen alone will not work.

@@brianmeza1659 you need to have both of them. And you will need a new panel the one with the sd card I think. It’s really easy did it in like 10 mins lol
im back the 8.4 radio is in but im lost on this any help i just put a 2014 8.4 nav dvd cd palyer and the radio is a RB5 my sirius xm say no singal still not work they say its my radio i put dual antenna muitiplexer still not working am fm works nav has no bars any help
You'll need the XM antenna. I currently have only my GPS antenna and I receive signal. Where are the antennas located?

@@donaldmasters6095 okay, here's the thing. You can use your car's antenna for both the XM Sirius and GPS as it is considered a dual action antenna. If your car does not have an antenna from the factory you will need to purchase a dual antenna which would have a single connection that splits into two and in those two you connect your GPS antenna and your XM/Radio/Sirius antenna.

@@kngmidas8332 you could always look for the parts on different places. Infotainment is convenient but by no means cheap. You'll save a few 100 bucks if you source other places. Good luck and I hope you find cheaper parts 👍

hello. i have a dodge charger v6 se 2012 model with 4.3 uconnect system. no navigation. no temp control. no bluetooth.
i want to upgrade it to 8.4 uconnect with all the features like bluetooth, nagivation. is it possible to do so? I'm not buying them from the dealer as they are very expensive. i rather get them from used dodge spare parts dealers for cheaper.

Donald Masters you could most definitely buy it from LKQ. the only difference from infotainment.com is that infotainment sends you the anti theft code. Other than that it's all the same infotainment buys some items from LKQ and resell them.

Donald Masters the dealership may charge you a fee. Also keep in mind you need the climate controls. I prefer infotainment.com because it's a one stop shop and I always tell the to my customers.
