I liked that you showed what was going on with the different compounds. :)

good, but what about the stationary (liquid) phase? showing adsorption from the gas into the liquid, and revaporization?

How is Amobarbital's retention time 8:88?? And Methaqualone is 12:89? What kind of minutes are these measured in

All these compunds have melting points around 300 C, GC is for volatile compounds... ¿?

I think it is good. It requires attention and thought from the viewer, but that is a requirement for any learning.

You are paying attention! A chemical will have a very specific retention time, analysis after analysis, day after day. Identification has to be based upon comparison with known compounds. GC never actively identifies anything. It is not an easy concept.

They are seperated by size, boiling point, or by whether they are polar versus no polar. So lets take Methane from Propane. It a C3 versus a C1. Send them through a packed column and the fastest to come out is the smaller. Then take propane from propylene. One is hunting to bond and get rid of its double bond ---propylene. Simple stuff kid......
