I'm so glad I found your vid, my adult ballet recital is tomorrow and our teacher explained how to do our make up but it's not the same to actually see it! Shared with the class!
I can’t tell you have an advanced knowledge of makeup....but this is very well explained...and I have to tell you the application is the best I’ve seen in any stage makeup video!
Thankyou so much x finally a good makeup video because everyone one else does it different ! I have a dance show and 8 days and I get nervous about doing my makeup but this video has helped so much x
I loved it, I want to try a new makeup for my final show in a few days so I was looking some ideas and your tutorial is amazing, I'll try it, it's very glomorous :)
Love this! I have a show to do and I'm a singer (yeah, I can move, but I'm not a dancer) and the directors are both dance instructors, so this is exactly the makeup they want. What about color? My gown is hot pink, fully sequined... Blue where you've got the brown?
+Amy Bonomo Just keep practicing! I find taking pictures helpful. I always see something I missed in person if I take a photo of my work then go back and perfect. Now I sound like Cher Horowitz... I don't trust mirrors so I always take a polaroid lol
CoyMakeup I love this video! You are very casual and professional at the same time and you really know what you're doing! Good job, and I hope you have a wonderful day. :D
+CoyMakeup THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I really want to do theatrical makeup as a career and I can't find any good videos about stage techniques! You are my saving grace!
Hi Hannah, I’m in the Bay Area and don’t necessarily recommend going to school for makeup. I feel that lots of makeup schools take advantage of the fact that people feel like they have to go to school to be good at something or become a professional. Often there isn’t much practical experience and many of the artists I’ve worked with who graduated from makeup schools were heavily in debt and had less experience doing makeup than someone working at a makeup counter would. That being said, if you are independently wealthy, cinema makeup school is actually a solid education and just about the only makeup school I’d recommend. I didn’t go to school for makeup. I worked for MAC in the early 2000s. Lots of brands are really good about education and training now. Even Sephora has really stepped up their game artistry wise. The reason I’m so passionate about not going into debt to start a career in the arts is because I went to music school at a state school and managed to put myself through college without debt. This was huge because as a makeup artist the first couple years I definitely made under $40k a year. Some of the makeup schools charge that much knowing their graduates won’t make much money for the first decade of their career. There’s no reason to pay a ton of money to get limited experience working on different faces that you could get working at a counter and by watching videos online. I hope that helps! Sorry for the kind of rant, it’s a thing I’m passionate about and want to save people from ❤️
I have a video on it. I use coconut oil for really tough stuff, but regular makeup remover should work fine for this look. I just do two washes with a cloth. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the info - I'm really allergic to most make-up removers and prefer to use water soluble make up - esp. on my eyes. The look is super, though - and following your directions really has made my "look" dramatic"! (I am a professional tap/ballet dancer). Warm water and a clean cloth are MUSTS! Also, I have found a product made by Lancome - although pricey - that really works for me. Thanks again!
Thanks so much! the facial expressions really show how great the makeup is and the effectiveness for acting silently all the way to the back row!

Question, how useful is the aqua water face thing?
Any ideas for my college Assignment we have to do a character look?
this is so unrelated, but you look like exactly how Tris is described in Divergent.
Hi there! Do you have a male version?
WOW! Now, how do I get this stuff off?
