Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is beyond excellent…. You are missing out.
You should try asgards wrath 2 it’s so good it’s nuts
I believe this an awesome FIRST Assassin’s Creed VR game! I would love to see Kenway in a sequel! Glad you enjoyed this!
Which kenway
@@RobotWithHumanHair. Yes
@@RobotWithHumanHair. Black Flag
@@RobotWithHumanHair. Kenway Kenway 🙄
Ohhhhhhh I would love to be in a games because ur talking about the BEST kenway, right?
Thanks for doing this video, Luke! I’m super keen on VR as a whole, and a big fan of the old AC games, so this is like a dream come true. What a treat for us. Would love to see you do more VR videos from time to time!
Imagine when the VR technology advances, the graphics in the VR is gonna look even more insane.
it's already just as good as like UE5 demos you see. you just gotta be playing on pcvr instead of mobile hardware.
The graphics aren’t really the problem with VR. It’s much more about mechanics and gameplay.
@@Yuki-rh1ie does PS VR two count?
@@stimswwolf7867 is it a PC? then no.
@@pylotlight It is no mobile VR lmao
I just recently discovered your channel, Luke, and it has increased my love of gaming and how they tell stories. I went through and watched all of your AC videos and it made me so nostalgic, that I went back and played some of my favorites! You are such an awesome discovery!
Im playing the new Prince of Persia game and honestly. Its REALLY good. I do hope Ubisoft keeps doing that and allowing studios to go for some new interesting things. This game definitely cost them way less than their main AC titles to make and honestly, since black flag this is the most fun I've had with their games
For me they would need to release multiple good games reviewed by multiple independent trustworthy sources at this point, before I would consider giving them any money or risk wasting my time 😅
@@Forke13 check some reviews for Prince of Persia then. It has 0 microtransactions, it plays smooth af, good level design, good animations, the map is quite big for a metroidvania. I think its an excellent game and they are going definitely in a good direction here
@@Void6- If they make a couple more of those, I'll consider it :)
@@Void6- I'll still wait for a sale.
AC Nexus and Asgard Wrath 2 will compete for the best VR game at the next Game Award for sure
One of the best games I've ever played, ofc making it my fav AC and also VR game so far.
Leap of faith boutta be insane
You should do a “in defense of… for assassins creed 3 I feel like it would be amazing. I’ve always been a fan of AC3, but I’m a little bit younger and ac3 was my first ac game I played in depth and followed closely. Regardless I bet a lot of people would love to see that
Took ya long enough
No we need odyssey in vr!
we could if meta would let Ubi build a pcvr game.
I get disoriented as well, but I want that if I’m playing this. At least the option. I want a 3000 ft free fall into the hay barrel of death. I didn’t recognize the villa until you showed it from above. It just looks so cartoonish? I feel like AC2 looked better, but I know that we remember things we enjoy as much more impressive as it was. For the time, the games we played as they came out were the best graphics at that time.
Random question, but what mic do you use? Seems like the one all the podcasters are using
VR was not made for people with weak stomachs.
Leave the VR gaming to those of us that want NO filters and no comfort, just full immersion.
you can get used to it, just like with boats.
I get the feeling that this game is just really "cool" for some reason.
I’m trying to love this game, but I’m having a hell of a lot of trouble doing that. Idk what it is, I was super excited to play it, but it just feels so janky and… boring honestly. Glad you enjoyed it though.
Luke,
Why you gotta dump on S.Squad while Ubi always gets the kid gloves?
I love your content, but the biases have been strong with this one!!!
I have subscribed 3 times in the past month because UA-cam decides to unsub me. Didn’t realize this is still an issue
I just want a proper assassin's creed game with parkour akin to Unity and mocapped cutscenes. Idk is that too much to ask?? Cuz yeah Ubisoft really dropped the ball with Mirage.
Don't you need a Facebook account for the Meta headset?
No that ended a few years ago
💗💗💗💗
This game is to short and the climbin can be terrible at times
so this is good bro ?? and suicide squad is bad ??? this is fasho a paid add LMAO
Ok I suppose but I'd rather have the traditional method of playing the game. I'm a third-person perspective type of guy and never really liked the first-person thing. I like to see who I'm playing. Plus, you have to wear those godawful googles.
Ubisoft should get used to not getting a dime from me.
VR Black Flag would be fucking insane
You should be able to play it in stereo 3D with VorpX. Haven't tried, because i don't like Black Flag, but it works great with Origins and Odyssey.
maybe it’ll be in nexus 2, they are already making it so im hoping for like black flag, maybe origins, etc
I would rather see rouge
@@Whitespots-honor honestly both would be fire
@@TastefulColors I would like to see more rogue, black flag, brother hood and more
Would actually love to see you do a review of Asgard's Wrath 2
Man that game is crazy intense , feels way too real sometimes 😂😂
Glad you tried it Luke, bought it on day one and wasn't disappointed, lots of content that I didn't expect.
Luke Stephens playing VR games now? Has hell frozen over? LOL, nice, i'd like to see more videos this this.
Luke, you should try "The Last Clockwinder". One of my favorite VR games that just couldn't work as anything other than a VR game.
it's so chill and fun i love it!
@@Yuki-rh1ie
I went into it completely blind on the recommendation of Thrillseeker and finding out what the central mechanic was felt so magical because it's so completely different from what any other game offers. One of my favorite and most memorable VR experiences ever.
This is honestly the only endorsement I need for VR. Just how you described getting a little emotional in climbing the villa I could see myself doing. I’m nowhere near safe enough to buy any VR gear but if it does potentially get released on other manufacturers that are also cheaper I would absolutely get this cause it sounds amazing
Unfortunately man or girl or person the meta quest is the cheapest vr that can handle games like this.
I know exactly how you feel about standing in front of the villa.
The first time I played Skyrim in VR, I just stood in Riverwood. I’ve spent thousands of hours in my childhood in Skyrim and in that moment, I was physically standing there.
I cried like a little bitch.
This is so cool to see you cover, Luke!! I consider you a very mainstream source in the gaming space so to see you enjoy and validate this VR title is amazing! I'm so glad you see the potential for this technology and I hope to see you enjoy more VR games on the channel!
I hope you try Asgard's Wrath 2. That game is so amazing, and it needs way more exposure. I barely see anyone outside of the VR space talking about it.
My dream is to one day be able to walk BALAMB GARDEN from Final Fantasy 8 in a VR demo or something...that would be a dream.
Runescape for me
Many people get motion sick after 3 minutes, and there will never ever be a solution to this problem. So personally, I think VR will never succeed unless they find a cure.
No most don't. Even if some do they get used to it the way sailors get sea legs. Anyways with 30 million Quests sold I think we are now past the "won't sell" stage.
Glad you liked it! Now that you have a Quest 3, I’d love to see you talk about the incomparable Asgard’s Wrath 2!
People really need to talk about that game more.
@@LARVideosjust bought a quest 3 and downloaded it last night. Can’t wait to try it. You guys got me hyped!
Played it, loved it with all my heart. Hope they make more AC in VR.
People that have never tried VR probably don't understand a word you are saying, it's truly a thing you have to experience yourself. :)
Imagine a VR Discovery Tour! 😮 it seems they are thinking about doing it bigger than the small slice already in this ac vr experience.
I would prolly buy a vr set just for that
The fact that it's running on basically a phone, and that the villa looks way more detailed and populated than it did on 360, while pumping out a higher resolution AND framerate is insane. id love for these VR AC games to become common releases alongside the regular games. Next VR game should be Evie, Aya and Altair
Yeah, that really is cool. You can play steam games on your phone too, which is pretty wild. I can't wait to see what Vr advances to.
Ubi just said no more VR as they're "disappointed" in its reception. Meanwhile there is a ton of people that won't buy anything Ubi because of yet another scummy thing they did recently that people will act like Ubi is above caring about. Oof.
Is this you realizing that technology improved over time? Wait until you realize death stranding is on iphone.
That grid feature 4:35 is something very unique. Played a lot of vr games but never seen such feature in other projects.
Ubisoft is just going to have to get used to me not buying any of the games they make.
Ubisoft doesn't care😂😂😂😂
@@pinkaspects04I find it funny how people keep commenting how they won't buy any Ubisoft games like they really don't give a shit haha they make good money regardless
@@arkhamknight7236You're gonna eat the bugs first
You show them!
Cool, I'll enjoy their games for ya
I love this game ive been hooked
I have touched my Quest 2 in months, but after watching you play it and seen actual game play, the inner enzio is ready to return
Where the guards call backup without ringing any bells, instead they use their own voice, I think they gotta take that off, it's too hard, I've been fighting 1 million guards, the character I'm playing as won't attack, they just made it harder and harder, and they added it to the game, they can at least keep the bells, who's with me?
Why cant they just make an actual good game🤦🏼, an honest and well crafted sequel to Unity where it gives us an ending to Arno’s story and his revenge on Shay for Killing his father and Connor could be in it too and Haytham.
Avowed gameplay
I just got my question 3 headset a bit ago, a whole new world of gaming has opened up to you with this thing
This game is CRIMINALLY OVERRATED
Ezio and Connor both have dual hidden blades, and you can use them in combat. I personally never did, as the sword and tomahawk are more fun, but it fits the fact that you can use the hidden blades as combat weapons in their games.
This video is basically an advertisement. Yuck
A remake of the first 3 would be welcome
And when you picked up the broom i was thinking harry potter in VR!
Should have come to PCVR too. Maybe they wouldn't be so disappointed with sales if it did.
First, Meta paid them to make it. There are so many more Quest owners than PCVR so they would really be disappointed in sales. Sadly.
Smelled like sponsor from the moment i clicked. Which is fine... but isnt this the skeptic guy?
I want a VR game where I get to be Wonder Woman’s husband. 😐
There are immersive videos that youtubers won't talk about
Just got off work to a new Luke video, already the makings of a great evening!
Where is your review/long video ultimate cretic of Assassin's Creed Mirage???
Tsk tsk tsk… you can’t say you’re a fan of the Creed when you say you “try” and play each and every game 🤦🏼♂️ from the moment the series started I have owned each and every single one of those games on both the Xbox and PlayStation. I’m not a PC player, but if I were, I’d even own them there as well.… plus owning every single statue that comes with the game… That’s a fan
Would you say Nexus is safe for someone who's a fan of Assassin's Creed, but haven't played the Ezio trilogy or Odyssey yet?
It's just a basic vr assassin's Creed game, the only thing that's cool is walking around the world
My VR headset is now 4 years old, and I’m extremely hesitant to get a new one as I don’t use VR much. If this came out on PSVR2 combined with Call of the Mountain, I’d be compelled to get a new headset.
It's not fair, Ya spend more on a PC with HP Reverb G2( Which has been a piece of shit ) and then they don't give ya Assassins Creed on VR in Steam. Fuckity fuck
Alright, Im sold. Ive been procrastinating getting a VR set up. But now I have too. Lol. Assassins Creed fan from the beginning!
same as asgard wrath 2 this is a meta quest exclusive game, it only runs standalone, no ps and no pc version
there is a metro game coming up and ports like resident evil 4 totally in vr
there are other good AA games like vertigo, walking dead, and red matter 2 and so on
ubisoft said that they are disapointted with the sales, but it is doing realy good for quest tho... ubisoft dont study the market of the platforms for which it makes its games apparently
ppl say that it should sell a lot more if ubisoft relase it for other platforms like psvr2 or pcvr, prob true
the game may not look so good in the video but in vr with lets call it "immersiveness" it looks and feels much better,
comparing to quest 2, quest 3 has 50% more gpu, but AC is not adapted to quest 3, so maybe in the future it will look much better if they update it
10:00 Dude I would be crying tears of joy if I was there Assassin's Creed was my childhood. Two was the first one I played and it made me absolutely fall in love with the franchise and it saddens me so much to see what it's become nowadays. I don't care about the settings that they chose, Egypt, old Greece and Scandinavia were cool choices but they completely lost what the main franchise was about, the stealth and parkour. It's more of a resource management and RPG now than a Assassin's Creed game and you gotta play for hours before you even get the Hidden Blade which is the main trademark of the franchise.
I’m excited for this, but yet skeptical. It feels like traveling through time using the Animus. As always, Luke, great job on your content as always man
Bad reviews and Ubisoft reaction aside, is this just a game Or could you call this a training program in the way that if there were such a thing as assassins and let's just say that let's just put in place of assassins Creed, Navy seals for instance. No hidden blade but imagine if they had something like a hidden blade which is just maybe say a combat knife and there was such a way to wield it as the hidden blade because people have made those that work in real life, could you consider this almost a training program. I'm definitely stepping into fantastical areas but there are elements of truth there that are undeniable and I'm wondering if that's what it felt like at all psychologically.
Wish I didn't have a lazy and blurry eye. I don't think I could even play this. Gonna be screwed if VR ever takes off soon.
I was never a huge assassin’s Creed guy and with how Ubisoft has been slowly nuttering their company with cookie cutter experiences I'm a little hesitant to try this game even if It's more in line where the series has kicked off with exploring ones past and being an actual assassin.
This kinda stuff is what is getting me more excited about the future of VR! I think Ubisoft has the capability of doing some really unique and cool stuff with the AC franchise in VR.
This game is like a time machine and its my go-to vr game if I'm not in a fps mood.
more than half your video is you talking
real
i cant wait until we reach Sword Art Online levels of technology, i would love to run around athens in ac oddysey VR that would be a dream come true
now try asgards wrath 2 and you will be blown away even more… its handsdown the best vr i‘ve ever had. Its truly a 10/10. like ign gave it
but you need to give the game at least 2-3 hours to unfold itself, its truly a masterpiece
I absolutely loved the game as a long time AC fan when I played it as well. Glad to see it's getting some more coverage from one of my favorite UA-camrs.
I am gonna 100% this.
I’m about to get it REALLY SOON I need tips Befor I play plz
This game never wants to loads the save file. Wish I could get my money back
Great review and I love your model Titanic in the background.
I lowkey like this type of format gameplay reviews more than the hands on
Why is your shower curtain on the outside of the bath? It defeats the point of having one
I thought the graphics are decent on quest 3 but not excellent, but for a mobile phone chip very good. I would of liked to see this released on PC with high end graphics then linked to quest . I think Asgard 2 looks better.
Think both games are not fully optimized for Quest 3.
Ngl kinda Wana watch the original video with his voice messed up lol
The assassins creed with Conor was the worst assassins creed of all time idk why they chose to add him
Took you 2 and a half minutes to actually start the damn game
finally a AAA VR game that doesnt look like complete shit compared to Half-Life Alyx
Compatible on quest 2?
It is, and it looks surprisingly good on the Quest 2. I was afraid that there would be a big graphical difference between that and the Quest 3 but Nexus is definitely one of the better looking Quest 2 games
Great job. I can't wait to try it
Ooopff, way to make me feel old! I didn't play Assassin's Creed until I was a married adult with a kid! I started with the first one around 2011~ish Been hooked ever since. (I have family photos of me with my ps3 controller and my baby laying on my chest... He's 13 now and taller than me) time flies brother
Is this being played through PCVR, or Quest standalone?
its a standalone exclusive
This looks terrible even in VR standard.
I really wanted to be immersed in 16th century Florence, but besides the OG VO actor for Ezio which was awesome to hear btw, everyone else spoke in an American accent. Found that very odd and distracting.
My dream is a full-scale VR version of Origins, being able to explore all of ancient Egypt, but with better graphics.
lol wait till you play stride and see what real vr parkour feels like. AC nexus is an absolute dream come true but downgraded for mobile hardware. the dream was a proper AC pcvr game, that's as rich as a real AC game, open world and all. with actually good combat like swordsman vr or grimlord and parkour like stride
It’s an awesome game. Better then what I expected and it is such a good fit for VR. I was afraid this game would give me motion sickness but luckily it did not. When you master your move set you can traverse the zones quite quickly and really feel like a badass Assassin. And it is good that this game can be played smoothly seated as well as long as you have the space for your arm movements. I like longer gaming sessions and that is no different in VR so when a VR game can be played seated while still being completely immersive and giving you that VR gameplay advantage is already a big bonus point
I got nauseous watching this, bummer
my ass would dead ass do a leap of faith in irl XD
telling you sth Luke this time ,most of the comments is not about the game but you . We're amazed and happy that you amazed by this I couldn't even believe Ubisoft could have done it like this good ..this is shocking any way if you R happy so we are and that's important. I dunno I jst felt like you made a place in gamers heart
