I love this. I contracted hpv from an ex without realising and only found out because I was turning 25 and had to go for my first smear. It was such a scary time for me and just like Stacey - I felt violated and almost dirty from it. I love that Stacey spoke out about it. X
HPV is extremely common, possibly 90% of the people you slept with have it

Why would the guy have HPV and not tell her. She also doesn't know that she got HPV from him, she could have got it from anyone.
Emma E there isn't actually an HPV test available for men yet so I don't know how this guy knew he had it... unless an ex girlfriend of his had been diagnosed?

If she kept her legs shut a bit more often, that would have been safer.
