Nice. I’ll be installing one in September hoping for bats to welcome it and use it next Spring. We’re in SE Ohio and looking forward to a reduction in skeeters by next summer. They’ve been brutal for several years so it’ll be nice to have our winged friends here to help. Thanks for the video.
Should use 3/4” pvc at 4” each as a backer spacer through which you put 5-7” gutter screws (2 per house sufficient) - need to minimize falling guano from hitting siding; also avoid locating over window or doors.
I have nine bat houses on my house/barns and bats do not go in my attic or house. Having bat houses does not mean you will get bats in your attic. If you have openings to get in your attic, bats will find a way in.
I understand how important bats are and am sad so many are dying now. But I have to admit I'm too afraid to put up a bat house because I'm afraid of rabies. My mom used to have a lot of bats and they'd swoop down through her porch and my mom wouldn't even flinch.
bats (even with rabies) won't find and bite you. the only danger is if you pick up a sick bat with your bare hands or something. really nothing to worry about

Would you happen to have a follow-up report on how well this worked?
I would have liked to see you actually up on the ladder installing and attaching.
Hi there. That is a nice looking bat house. Did you get a colony of bats in your bat house??
Great video. Did you ever get a colony?
Fascinating thank you
Do you have any updates? Is there any danger of attracting bat's into your attic/house by placing a bat house near your home?

I see them at dusk right off my deck, my 8 yo loves to walk into the Frey.
Great video but my house is not 15 feet. Where would I hang it?
You would purchase a 12 ft 4×4..post.
Or peak of gable side of building (if facing South to Southeast)
1,000 per hours. They are doing some serious eating.
How do you avoid falling off of the ladder?
