Varial flip is such a cool trick! It looks hard to a beginner, but it's so easy! I learned them before I learned a kickflip.

This is how i found a waterlogged walmart bored behind a dumpster at work and in three days i had my first kickflip!!!! But i had to restart when i got my catlife revive board lol WAY different. Thanks Aaron Kyro, really ive never felt better.

I can't shove but can do kickflips boardslides, Learning 50-50, fs180, bs180, I gotta learn them once I get better at kickflips,

Lance is actually so good at learning new tricks, He learns them fast too.
He doesn't learn them. He just lands them once, which doesn't count as learning, but I do give him props for landing new tricks a lot
Ippei Morita To be fair this trick wasn't just a lucky landing after what Aaron told him he was very close multiple times, he could nail this trick easily imo.

I am 28 and hadn't touched a skateboard in over a decade, but after stumbling on these videos I went out and got myself a new board and have been skating every day since. I have no idea why I ever stopped. I got Skateboarding Made Simple and it is all coming back to me, slowly but surely. I am definitely a lot more afraid of getting hurt than when I was younger but I'm sure that will pass as I get more confident. I think the number of comments similar to mine is testament enough that you are doing something right. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

Be warned, kids, landing varial flips primo for some reason always entails eating shit. Primo kickflips I can usually just step off of, but the rotation combined with the direction the board is flipping after doing the shuvit almost always results in my getting up close and personal with the pavement.
Arno Theadorno its even worse when you land bad af and the board shoots off into god knows fucking were and you fall on your ass
I landed primo both feet bent and I walk away alive
I think I'm the next Jonny Giger, because I did a kickflip but perfectly landed primo bolts, or "wheels".
When I do it the board just falls back

Hey guys. Started watching your videos a couple weeks ago and have been binge watching them since. Gave me the inspiration to try to skate again for the first time since middle school (20 now) and finally for the first time ever have what i think is a decent ollie. Keep up the good ish.

A lot of people don't play football, yet they watch it.
Watching a football game and not playing football is one thing. Watching a tutorial on how to throw a football well and not playing football is another thing. Which is essentially what he's doing. Either way watching people skate is far more entertaining than watching people throw a egg shaped ball back and forth.

I landed a heel flip for the first time yesterday.
Nice!! I just landed my first one a week ago. Still can't get them solid though.. I also just landed a kickflip but its the same story.. So hard to actually master those 2.. I masted pop shovits and 180's within the first month of skating again but those damn flips kill me!!!

Definitely agree with you on how varials get much harder after doing tre flips for so long. I'm so used to them now and it's hard to make my board spin a 180 instead of a 360 sometimes lol

I don't know why but I can never flip the board with that foot positioning. When I varial, my feet are really close together and my right foot flips right off the side of the board.
you need to "jump" or "lift" up your feet and upper body a little bit LATER.
I just learned them in under 30 minutes thank you so much this video really helped

I learned varial flips a couple days ago, and today I just mentioned at the park that I thought they felt easier than kickflips. I bet that will change once my kickflips start getting more consistent, just like when I used to think heelflips were easier than kickflips. Once I started building up kickflip skill, my heelflips felt heavier and like it required more force compared to the kickflip. Maybe the 8.25 board has something to do with that. I just love it for transition or whenever I get to skate bowls.

I put my back foot more pointed forward, kinda like a pressure flip. It makes he board move less to the side for me. I did learn kickflips first but after learning the varial I find that easier.

Aaron I think people learn it easier because when you are kicking to get the flip your foot strait forward instead of kicking off the edge of the board I taught my friend a kick flip yesterday and I noticed he kept rotating his body mid air because of having to kick off the edge of the board it took awhile to teach him to keep his upper body in line with the board
