Level 6 tiger aspect isn’t bugged. It notes that it adds your strength modifier to ATTACK ROLLS, which are different from damage rolls after you hit. Tiger 6 I think is still better to completely mitigate GWM penalty super early but Wolverine 6 is good for lockdown, especially if you can prone people as well.
@@Mdntech3000 No problem! If you still wanted to build into maiming with Wolverine, I recommend using some reverberation gear to knock enemies prone so that they can’t stand up after being maimed!
Hey fellow adventurers! 🗡💪 Just wanted to share my experience with a killer melee build in Baldur's Gate. I've been rocking a dual-wielding fighter with a focus on Two-Weapon Style and proficiency in longswords. The synergy between high Strength and Dexterity, along with some sweet magical gear, has turned my character into an absolute wrecking machine on the front lines. I've also invested in some key Fighter and Berserker abilities for added survivability and damage output. It's so satisfying to see my character slicing through enemies with ease, especially when the critical hits start rolling in. Any other melee enthusiasts out there with awesome builds to share? Let's swap tips and tactics! Happy adventuring! ⚔🛡 #BaldursGate #MeleeMayhem #GamingStrategies
I played my tiger barb with Thief splash, so I could Rage + Black Hole on the first turn of combat. Get max value out of those cleaves. Then at the very end I just respecced to 11 hunter 1 wizard for a self hasted whirlwind attacker (whirlwind is unlimited, same as tiger cleave). Next playthrough is 6 Swords bard 5 Pact of the Blade Warlock 1 Cleric/wizard as githyanki, possibly carrying around the Psychic resonator and stacking some psychic damage (1d6 from Silver Sword, 1d4 from ring, 1d4 from illithid power, all doubled up, and the drawback of psychic resonator cancelled by the silver sword). Ends up doing CHA based damage with 3 attacks, and fluorishes for AoE :) Also thought of abusing Psychic resonator with Potent Robe, Ring of Mysic Scoundrel and Vicious Mockery with a Thief splash in some form, but that former build is probably more powerful. Still 2x bonus action casts of Vicious Mockery against psychic vulnerable targets should be fun, maybe I just put both builds in the same party for extra profit. One can even cheese 2 x Silver Swords...
Yea that sounds utterly amazing! Tbh I never realized how good the aoe cleave builds are! Yea that’s gonna be insane for aoe and sounds really awesome, love the thought of that!
Thanks for the video, didn't know about horde breaker! Think the build would be even sicker with Berserker 5, Ranger 4 and Thief 3 -- you can use enraged throw (bonus action) to set enemies up for horde breaker and use the additional bonus action from thief for great weapon master's attack/frenzied attack. You'd routinely get 4-5 attacks off.
The Aspect of the Beast: Tiger is working for me. Just keep in mind that ONCE they are already bleeding, it is only adding it to the ATTACK, not the damage. So it just increases your accuracy on the hit which isnt great because you are always reckless attacking.
Problem with the strength gloves is you get them so late in the game you just aren't going to have many fights left with them. And at that point, even on Tactician, your crew is going to be so brutal anyway they're really just a side-note. (Dex gloves are another story.)
Why not go 6 Barb/3 Fighter (Champion or BM)/3 Ranger (Hunter)? This seems like an optimal way of maxing the Wildheart subclass but still getting to choose BM manoeuvres and attacking two targets from range? You'd also get Second Action from Fighter as well. If you drink a potion of speed beforehand and use Second Action, you'd potentially get six attacks on that turn
Thing is your proposal only gets you one feat. This build really wants three feats, at least two as great weapon master and savage attacker are amazing here. With all the aoe attacks, multiple attacks a turn using additional die rolls compared just hitting a single target, savage attacker becomes much more valuable. Third feat is not too important, but I mainly went for it because of “flavor”. The idea of getting that much health really intrigued me! Especially not needing to use the CON amulet.
Also interesting is how bugged the Bonespike Armor geo is on that character. It isn't deforming properly at all. Don't know if it's a dragonborn thing or large body in general, but that is seriously scuffed. (On the bright side it looks fairly terrible anyway, so easy to overlook the intersection problems.)
I'm pretty sure the fighting style you suggested only works if your wearing armor so you would get no bonus unless you are supposed to where armor with this build? You can also up another skill by 2 if you make the dex 14 instead of 15 since 14 and 15 is a +2 to your dex skill either way. Possibly bump up Wis to a 10 as well?
That’d be a great way to become more tanky and heal..it’s definitely feels like a lore accurate playstyle as while you’re taking all this damage you just feast on enemies healing it back up by dealing damage. I think thats cool!
@@Mdntech3000 I was thinking about making a similar build using the shattered flail and the adamantine shield early game, then the greatsword late game. Shattered flail also heals by 1d6. I would also instead use the Boots of Stormy Clamour because bleeding and maim are conditions, so the creature you hit would get 4 reverberation automatically.
It does seem fairly significant at first. Even at lvl 8 there are some fights I toggle it off. But by about lvl 10 you're going to have 90-ish hit probability most of the time anyway, and the added damage is significant. (But, it certainly isn't necessary to win the game.)
I was gonna type some massive rant. But honesty it as long as you're enjoying yourself. That's cool, but the build itself is pretty sketchy, and theres alot you could do to make it better. Lastly for anyone watching this guy, you get one elixir slot, just like you do with helm/chest items and concentration spells. You wouldnt even think twice about using those, so dont listing ti this clown calling them cheese, larion balanced the game around those things so think about all aspects of your build and how they interact, youll have alot more fun.
What would you do to make it better? Also, the game is definitely not balanced around having massive elixir access…you literally have to circumvent normally playing through the game to get enough access to elixirs through level resets. Also no reason to get so offended and call people names. Anyone that’s reasonable would come to the conclusion that basing builds around infinite elixirs access is cheesy. It’s just a game though man I said it a hundred times already if it doesn’t bother you than by all means do that!
lmao dude, what's wrong with you? calling him a clown? i can only imagine what you held back from that "massive rant" you wanted to type. you *absolutely* have to cheese vendor mechanics with Ethel to make a str dump build viable from early game through late game. that's like getting offended at calling barrelmancy cheese because "larian balanced the game around" the possibility of doing it, just as they did in Divinity. i've done solo honor runs, it's not a particularly difficult game - there's no need to get so sensitive about your method of playing being called what it is.

Yea that’d be really good too especially for honor mode

Yea it was my mistake, the wording on the wiki I think confused me.
But if you're using Great Weapon Master, it's countering the -5 to attack while you gain the +10 to damage.
@@tomcascaddan8319 yea but you already counter that with reckless attack

Yea absolutely, that’s why I recommend just going with the mighty cloth for the majority of the game since it’s such a good chest piece.
So far Barbarian has been the most fun to play; however, which there were more armor/clothing options.
Yea wish there was more specific armor for barb, not a fan of the sets they have now.

Because you loose that aoe attack from horde breaker. As he stated in the beginning he didn't want a ton of actions but melee aoe attacks

@@garrnk You wouldn't lose Horde Breaker, you get that at level 3 Ranger which 6 Barb/3 Fighter/3 Ranger would still have.

Yea it’s def scuffed, I feel like it’s a good amount of amour sets that are kinda scuffed. Def ugly either way though lol 😂

Yea that could work, not sure about the armor issue tbh…I wanted this build to be purely unarmored.
Wild Heart would be so much cooler if it let you have acess to all of them at once. Barb get's very few abilities to use as it is.
Yes that would be pretty damn cool tbh if it worked that way.
Defense doesn't work for the +1 AC if your not wearing armor
What if you used the greatsword that heals you by 1d6 and have the pendant that maximizes your healing?

Is aspect of the tiger still bugged ?
Probably I have t checked in a while
I don't get Great Weapon Master. I lose numbers To Hit, so I hit less; so why is it so popular??
Cuz u can easily mitigate that and still do the +10
Because it’s easy to still get hits. Especially as a barbarian since you get advantage on all attacks!
