The guy with the question said that he and his friend feel like they don't want to be "just friends" anymore. I took that as they want to be more than friends, like in a relationship. I could be wrong but that's what it sounded like to me. If so, they should weigh their options to see if they could have a viable relationship. Distance may or may not work for them. That's something they would have to talk about with each other.

I do think that people have a right to feel or respond emotionally to things that happen to them. If a man I'm not attracted to approaches me,. especially with my wedding ring on, I'm annoyed.
