This plugin plus Into The Mix's mastering plugin that automatically adds space and separation to a mix would probably give you perfect audio for an entire edit and all you'd need to do is get your relative levels correct... wild times indeed.
For the backing music, some stereo separation is great too. That max separation really gets the music out of your voice's way, and it gives things a sort of full sound.
I love Davinci its so damn good.
AGREED!
That audio ducking feature is insane 🔥🔥
The first 20 seconds sums up my audio experience with the jumbled mess of Premiere audio effects I use. Looking forward to trying this after my next recording session!
Thanks for showing this off! Now my VO recordings will sound a lot better.
this is fantastic
thanks for this! also any tips for processing with voice acting voiceovers?
On the backup track, I would also take out some of the frequencies where you voice lies... I usually take out (or lower, not all the way out of course) between 800Hz and 2.5Khz. But that depends highly on your voice. Play with the high pass and low pass to see where the most of your voice lies, the take about 3-6dB out of the music. I usually do this live, it also works good in the studio when mixing a song, so for me it also works for UA-cam :)
Can you use the Isotop VEA VST plugin while livestreaming or do you think it would cause a delay or fail to process on time?
You can, but currently it’s not supported in OBS because OBS doesn’t yet have VST3 support. That support is in the works though
@@EposVox Awesome! I'll try it out through Wavelink. This thing looks like the exact VST I've been needing! Ty
@@EposVox I purchased and setup the VEA VST.
Unfortunately when I add this VST in Wavelink to my Microphone no matter how much I talk the AI will not register my voice, it stays infinitely stuck in the "Play Audio To Get Started" phase.
However if I add it to a track in Davinci it works just fine and detects in seconds.
I did try a few workarounds such as routing an audio file of my voice into my microphone and playing that, but still no luck. I did get past the "Play Audio To Get Started" phase once by a fluke, but then Wavelink had an update and wiped the VSTs settings so I am back to be stuck in the phase before the dials. It did sound really dang good when I somehow managed to get it to work though. Hopefully in the future they allow a user to SKIP the AI portion an manually use the knobs, or ready it for live voice.
What are the best custom color/HDR grading settings for Da Vinci Resolve? I can't find your video going over that.
I've got low mic volume with Sennheiser profile usb and two other mics I tested recently. I'm looking forward to upgrade my mic setup from the most basic level you'd imagine but I can't get any good quality when I need to both crank up the gain knob to the max and then also add 15-20db gain in my editing software.
Just tested the ducking feature on the latest guest episode and it makes two tracks of audio so easy to blend together 🤘🤘
Yesss!!!
Now we just need to be able to save presets for audio settings :|
That’s so easy! I’m an audio engineer and izotope is so freaking great as a company. Looking forward to RX11. Also davinci resolve 19 looks incredible too. very excited for the future, this is the kind of AI I support.
Heck yeah
Random question unrelated to this video, is JDownloader a safe thing to use? (even though my windows blocks it because its unverified) sorry for a random comment I stumbled upon your jdownloader video and saw u recently posted so I wanted to comment on here
As long as you get the “adware free installer” direct from their website (should download from MEGA) yes
Am I crazy? I still hear the AC regardless of what effect/settings he used. Heard it through the whole video
Too bad the fairlight mixer can't manage sidechain for vst effects! A dynamic Eq like F6 is way more subtle than a ducking. That's the only feature that is missiong for me in Resolve audio-wise, every version is better than the last.
I tried out this plugin. The noise reduction part is not great at all. There’s definitely better options out there for that such as Supertone AI, the voice Isolation in Resolve studio and auphonic. It’s a pity because this plugin is not expensive.
It’s certainly the weak point of it - but can be easily combined with Resolve’s vocal isolation and make great results!
@@EposVox yeah that’s true.
It just me or there is no difference except annoying clipping in high part of voice ? Sorry, I use 50 euro soundbar behind my screen and I declare not hearing to much difference in sound when my audiofilistic brother ask for "compare" and opinion. I was was ready to buy VEA asap after watching this video (to be sure), and now...I will not? 7:30/18 minute of video so I will stick to it, but im not sure anymore.
Well the difference is drastic, but you do you
Honestly, I think you just get one-guy'd a lot about your voice. Been watching for years and you mention it fairly often, but I've always thought you sound just fine even when you're obviously forcefully tapping into your low ends. Not too boomy or muddy at all to me.
And yet another plugin for Resolve that ignores the Linux version... Like serious, just say you don't fully support all platforms if the tool you support has an OS you you don't. I'm getting so fed up with plugins and stuff saying "supports Davinci Resolve" except the only support the Windows/Mac version of Resolve, not the Linux version which is still an official version of Resolve made by the same people
I mean, it’s a VST plugin, most of which do not have Linux installers period
@@EposVox Yeah, I just with they would say it on the page title so I can stop getting my hopes up 😩
it does sounds better, except the extreme HF boost, that low-key hurts my ears and sounds unnatural
man, no wonder your sound is to thin and tinny when you EQ the way you do... EQing music tracks like this makes them sounds bad, just bring them down a bit if the're too distracting. also a 70 Hz high-pass AFTER VEA, it would make more sense to put it before in the chain, but I still fail to see the need for it althogether, since VEA is already killing so much low-end
This is the first time in my *entire career* that anyone's complained about my audio being "thin and tinny" - usually always the *exact opposite*.
This is also the first time I've EQ'd music this way, but it's a recommendation I've seen over and over and seems to help balance things out.
And again, the HPF at the end is warranted because I've spent *my entire career* with constant comment complaints about me being too boomy/rumbly/too much low end, and after consulting enough audio engineers/music people, a final pass HPF has been the consistent answer to my problems.
So if you think I sound "thin and tinny" I'm going to delegate to my own testing on multiple different sound systems and the 15 years of complaints to the exact opposite and say that's either a you problem or an issue with what you're listening on lol
Best of luck.
