The reason why Samsung uses 45 watt chargers for their top devices is because if your phone battery dies and you put it in the charger, it will quickly return to 30%, if you are a bit technical you can It is also very clear that if you charge the battery from 0 to 100% at 45 watts, the battery lifespan will deteriorate very quickly, Samsung is a brand of quality and you also pay for that, so the 45 watts is partly exaggerated and waste of money. But most people also charge their phones at night and the S series is known for the long battery life of the Plus and Ultra series.
I upgraded from K20pro to S24U. I got generic u&i 45 watt charger PPS and PD protocols anyway as I don't want to use MI 25 watt charger. Unfortuntely, my S24U charges at around 15 watts - 20 watts only with the new brick as compared to 4 year old Mi charger and k20pro lol. S24U sucks at camera and charging. With 45 watt charger, phone keeps changing watts wildly and slows down charging speed to control heat. With 25 watt charger, the phone consistently draws 25 watts till end and is catching up with 45 watt charger. So 45 Watt is only for quick boosts when low on charge.
I'm also switching to s24 ultra from note 20 ultra in a week.... And that why I'm in searching of a fast charger... And watching your video helped me a lot brother.. I'm now gonna stick to my old note 20 ultra charger... Thank you.. Good video.. 😊👍
I just got a s24 ultra as well, I would of kept my note20 for life but the screen cracked and it got water damage, definitely one of the best phone of all time
@@dragonhype2734 mine is all great still now... It's been 4 yrs... It's an unbelievable phone..the funny part is it's display seems punchier than the s24 ultra.. 🤣🤣 I was comparing..
@cortnguy6143 The note 20 was the last true note, I wasn't interested in any phone upgrade after that. I've had mine for 3 years. It still competes pretty well with new phones, hoping the s24 can stand the test of time like the 20 ultra did 😂. I still haven't taken my s24 out of the box. Still using my broken 20 (I have to use the s pen to type)
Wow! thanks bro for sharing this video. I'm literally observing and writing the results for the chargers I bought for the s24 Ultra. I got the Anker 45w nano2 and the 30w nano3. I also bought a 100w usbc cable to see any difference. So far between the two, it's 10 mins difference, you're right about this.
Nice. Yeah charging to 80% is quick, but the last part takes the longest. Samsung slows down the charge rate after 85%. Not bad since the Ultra battery last forever and it's not good to charge 100% all the time :)
Thank you very much, now I will continue using the Orsen C14, no need to buy a new C12. (I just want to see blue circle once time when charg my phone haha)
I am using a S24 Ultra it's been like a month I guess but I am confused should I use 25W charger or 45W charger? Also will 45W charger damage battery life?
@alesgaming8754 it doesn't matter which one you use. As long as you use a Samsung charger you will be fine. The phone handles the charging part so it will regulate the charge speed based off the battery percentage and temperature. I just use a 25w because I already have it from my previous phone.
I got S24 Ultra and using Samsung 25 Watt charger and thinking of getting the 45 Watt but after seeing this video and few other I realized that the difference is very little only few minutes faster on 45 Watt. So no need to waste the money.
@KashifNawaz85 yup totally no need for a 45 watt charger. The only big difference is if you drain the phone battery till it turns off. But your only saving like 10-15 minutes which is not a big deal. I'm still using my 25W charger from my Note 20 Ultra.
When you use a 45W charger and use the charger at least twice a day, your charge is less stressed because you only use 70% of the charger's power. Therefore, if you use a 25-watt charger, after a year, your charger will be exposed to damage and danger because it has been working at full capacity all this time.Note that sometimes it is necessary to pay a little more money to avoid paying the full cost again.😊
Don't listen to this guy. It is not true that 25W charger is working on a full power all the time, and also it is better to use less powerfull charger because battery in a phone will be less hot during charging.
I have the s22 ultra basically once it hits slightly past 20% it slows down in about 30%, it's pretty much at 30 Watts until about 60% I think it's just stay out 45 watts until 50% at least
You should be fine. The phone actually controls the charge rate. But I don't think that Xiaomi charge supports Samsungs protocol for super fast charging 2.0 at 45 watts. But the S24 Ultra should charge at 36w
I've notice when charging from below 20% to 100% full charge it still takes about an hour to charge. 20% to 80% is fast, but from 90% to 100% takes the longest as the charge rate slows down a lot. This is actually pretty normal for most battery powered devices
I have a question i have a s24 ultra and mine doesnt says super fast charging 2.0 only fast charging is that a difference? Btw i live in the netherlands
@ecuaking87 I believe you need to use a Samsung charger that supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 as it is a different charging protocol. And you also need to use a USB C cable that support 45w or more. The USB C cable that came with the S24 Ultra does not support Super Fast Charging 2.0. Honestly your fine with just Super Fast Charging as the difference in charging time is not much
I had the same situation. The cable must also be compatible. That's why the 45W charger comes with its own (thicker) cable. The cable that comes in the box with the S24 Ultra is 3A. The ones that are 5A typically have "5A" written on the plastic covering the actual connection on both ends. Fun fact: the one that comes in the box with the phone is also only USB 2.0 (even though it's type C) if you use it for data transfer. If you look with a magnifier inside the port it only has 4 of the pins that connect USB 2.0 devices. So basically they threw in the cheapest sh*t possible.
Yes you can, but the S24 Ultra will not charge at 65w. Not sure on the Warp chargers charging protocol, but you may or may not get Super Fast Charging 2.0. However you will still get super fast charging at either 25-35w which is still fast
My a34 5g support inly 25watts but when i check it consuming more than 30watts from charger even the charger i 25watts pd charger why my phone consuming more than 25watts
Maybe the cable, efficiency power lost, or voltage sensors on the charger is not calibrated explaining the higher watts. I have a couple of cables and chargers and they sometimes vary with the power readings.
