    I liked when he showed what impact on battery usage each option had. You could clearly see how much battery those options took and how many hours of extra battery life you get. It was also infomative to show the battery usage graph in Android before and after the change. You could clearly see that the multiple services were taking about 0.5% each, and that adds up.
    Glad you took the effort to show the difference and not just make a video where you make claims without any proof.

    This dude is right, guys. Android phones and smartphones in general nowadays have too many fancy functions and services that we bearly even use half of. Most of them are kept turning ON by default and stay hidden deep in the Setting while the battery is slim because all manufacturers want to make your phone look sleek. These contradicting factors will drain your battery with no mercy. So you should follow his advice. I have done some more to save my battery even a bit further.

      Like wt more did u do can u guide me through also ?

    • @khaiphamba5991
      @khaiphamba5991 4 місяці тому

      @@beastthenephewjr.warmachin1512 Each Android version and each smartphone manufacturer has a different way to organize the settings. I am using a Huawei P30, I don't even know if my setting could be done on your device.
      Anyway, it goes like this. In the Setting app, there is a customization where you can choose how apps will start up when you turn on your smartphone. Either they will automatically get booted up, or they will not run AT ALL untill you manually tap on them. By default, all apps will automatically start with the phone, they will run in the background without you knowing it, even when you don't see them in the App Overview (running apps). This explains why you can still get messages in your message apps. Google apps do this most (Google, Gmail, UA-cam, etc.). They will drain your battery with the functions that you don't even need.
      SO, I turn this setting for most of them to OFF. This means that when I turn up my phone, only MY PHONE turns up. The apps that I don't need to run will stay inactivated until I tap on them. My battery won't lose a single percentage in the 6-8 hours after booting up if I leave it in idle. That's some cool shjt, isn't it?
      At this point you may ask, what will happen after I tap an app the first time? Well, from then on, it will keep running in the backgound like usual. Anyway to cut that off completely? Actually, YES! There is another option for you to completely shut down an app the moment you swipe it up from the App Overview. That way, when you don't want to use an app, it will shut down FOR GOOD. But it can be a bit uncomfortable if you use a message app. Notifications only pop up when you tap on the app again. Or, in the case of UA-cam, if you are commenting but need to check some information on Google, you switch to Google and when you go back to UA-cam, everything will completely be refreshed because it doesn't run in the background anymore the moment you tap Home button to switch app. So this 2nd-tier option is more restricted.
      There is even a 3rd-tier option, which determine if an app can be kick-started by another app, for example, if UA-cam is allowed to run when you click on a UA-cam link in a different app. I usually leave this ON.

    • @khaiphamba5991
      @khaiphamba5991 4 місяці тому

      Gmail and Weather app are best examples in this case. Gmail will surely keep your mailbox updated. Weather app will also constantly get weather updates so that when you click on it, the latest information is ready for you. BUT for me, I don't need that. I only check them WHEN I need to check them. So by turning off 1st-tier & 2nd-tier option for these apps, I can use them only when I want, and can kill them for good when I am done. Of course, this mean that the apps will only start to send and receive data when they are running, so there is a bit of a delay when you open them. However, with the powerful hardware these days, especially in the case of flagships, that teeny tiny delay doesn't make any different. The benefit of saving battery life greatly outweights that. I just hope you may find that setting.

      Absolutely. Everyone knows the best informational videos are done by people with heavy accents. Just look at that one science lady who is very passionate. If you dont know who im talking about, search up accent lady spins tire on string, that should probably bring something up. Maybe. @@mphatsokauta6387

      Again printing is not on until you go to that screen. If it was actively looking for printing you would find Network traffic relating to the searching. You won't find network traffic until you go to that screen. This isn't Windows.

    Great video! I went through all the steps and found mine already all turned off. When I get a new phone I always spend a day going through every setting and every corner of every app turning off anything I think is like this / don't need. Also have notifications off for everything (have on every phone since 2010). Always amazes me to see my friends phones they have million icons on the status bar and lock screen notifications for all sorts from eBay to the weather app. My phone looks so clean in comparison and I've never had battery life issues! Still clicked on those video though to see if I could improve it further. Thanks pal :)
