Thanks for covering Xenia Manager. I have added the ability to change the icon of the game and it's title in 1.8.0 (If I'm not mistaken this is 1.6.3).
I appreciate what Youre doing, I had some issues with profile swtching, and some games that require special treatment (like protect zero) are not working everytime , it worked on SR1 but not on Nier for some reason.
Since publishing, there has actually already been another update to Xenia Manager. These are likely things you would naturally find while using the app, and not something I need to make adjustments to the video, but I thought I should mention them as they are pretty cool. 1. "Now user can multiselect multiple games when adding them" And 2. "When adding the game, if it's not found in the lists of games, it'll prompt user if he wants to use the default game icon or if he wants to search for the game himself in the lists of games"
This is exactly what Xenia needed, even though I got used to opening the toml file and changing the settings manually, it is so much more user friendly this way AND it helps make Xenia a nicer emulator to use, I hope one day Xenia will be a bit like RPCS3 in its interface and compatibility state with games and online play, right now it is a bit of a hit or miss, thanks for the video, I don't think I could have discovered this manager on my own
I love that Xenia Manager has been released. The learning curve of changing settings within Xenia and patching games I found to be an annoyance when trying to setup RDR on it. I eventually gave up and ran the switch port with Yuzu which is easy to upscale, can unlock FPS up to 65fps, and seems to be a less taxing on both my gaming laptop and ROG Ally. Ryujinx ran it pretty well also, but expect that to be harder to run on PC handhelds like the Ally and Steam Deck as well as higher resolutions like 1440p/4k.
One game i'd love to see working on Xenia is Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter 1 (GRAW), it's remained in an unplayable state for years and it was one of the 360s big titles alongside Gears 1 before COD4 and Halo
so glad this is a thing, it makes it much easier for me. I find it hard to look at the white config file for more than a minute, it just hurts my eyes.
The strange thing about this manager is it runs only on my Windows (C drive), doesn't run on the ssd that I had Xenia previously installed or any other hdd/ssd, but it's no big deal, still an improvement over having the original GUI.
I've been playing on xenia for a while and got used to the UI. After finding this, I was curious to try Xenia Manager. But when I installed it, I removed my game patches, removed my game saves and my custom graphics settings.
WhenI original installed the emulator. I could play Wolverine. Then I installed the manager now it say I have to have xbox account for all of my roms😢. Any suggestions to fix this please?
im not having any problems except for once i have it downloaded for a few days it resets and i have to add my games again and lose progress any fix for this ?
is about time this happened for this, its been a long time coming unfortunately not gonna touch Xenia again until I get another AMD apu system up and running The particular game I've been trying to play on this still doesn't work well with nvidia
@@laserfights I'm a big fan of the Tenchu games and I wanted to play Tenchu Z on the emulator. I do own it on xbox and stuff but would be cool to play on PC. Last I checked which was 3-4 months ago, it still only worked on my AMD APU system or I had to pull out my old AMD 6850/7870 GPUs. I unfortunately traded that AMD APU system to help someone out soo yeah. I don't wanna have to take my RTX 4070ti out just to play that. The issue it has on Nvidia is the shaders I believe, the characters don't completely fill in on screen. It could be fixed? But not sure.

Unfortunately, I don't believe so at this time. The quick start page says it requires Windows 10 or higher github.com/xenia-manager/xenia-manager/wiki/Quickstart
From my personal experience, the way that I’ve picked between which emulator to use is to see if it runs well on Xenia. And if it does then it has been not uncommon for it to run better on Xenia. But whenever a title has issues with Xenia, RPCS3 has pretty good general compatibility. That being said, I am by no means a power user of either emulator. If anyone knows of any good resources that compare compatibility between the two, I’d love to look into it more. The most I’ve found are Reddit threads or just manually referencing their respective compatibility lists but those only tell so much
@@laserfights they have respective spreadsheets for tested compatibility and which version of each emulator is used. Since the games usually have the same name on both platforms, you can cross reference the spreadsheets in docs or excel :)
What else would you like to see? I think the only thing I didn't touch on with Xenia Manager was importing and exporting saves, but I figured that was pretty straightforward.

You get a sub just for the classic intro, reminded me of like an old movie or something.

This seems very interesting and helpful for managing the games!!!

Wow this brings xenia to the modern standard. They should implement this in a official capacity.
Thank you, that the stuff I need right now.
Xenia Manager is still raw AF. I should visit it year later.
did you have any troubles with it? Or just not a lot of features?

do i still have to pay for games?
not if you already own them
unfortunately rpcs3 still runs better in most cases
True but there are various 360 exclusives and this interface will be nice to have

I know that its still similar to manually referencing them each, but with hotkeys you can search both sheets at once.
What a waffling load of crap you could of shown so much more
