I love your videos that update your old ideas and show us all to continue growing and improving. Thank you!
Thank you, Lynn. You know, she wasn’t mean or anything. People just react differently and learn differently. UA-cam is vast so there is plenty for everyone! Hugs, D
Donna, hummmmm away!!! Gosh, someone such as yourself sharing your amazing talent is so appreciated & im sure 99% of everyone here feels the same!! If someone is concentrating on your humming then they aren’t here to learn & enjoy your artistry & personality! That’s a them problem NOT your problem!! Thank you for all your that you share with us!!
It amazes me how some people have cause to complain, when someone is offering their time for an educational purpose to complain and ask you not to do things. Donna don't change, you do an amazing job giving us the opportunity to learn from you. Thank you so much.
I think it's social media - and I don't think this person was being mean - but in many ways we have become people without filters. I know I have to stop myself every now and then and just think before I speak or write. It's all good, at my age, I don't worry too much about things like that but I do recognize that what a person comments on might be correct and I might need to correct! We are all wrong sometimes! Hugs and thanks for your kind comment. Hugs, D
I love the humming, the singing, especially it’s the music I’ve grown up to, the dog whimpers, the cat meows, Vernon being Vernon and most of all the tutorials. I think they are perfect. I feel like we’re old friends sitting together creating.
The reason her tutorials are soooo awesome is because of her personality. I’ve tried to listen to other tutorials and they are boring keep on keeping on Donna!! You are fantastic the way you are Don’t change a thing please❤❤❤
In a world so full of meanness you are a shinning light-your humming only adds to the beautiful things you do for all of us. If humming and being joyful is a bad thing then what? You make me smile- thank you sooooooooo much! We need more HAPPY!!!!!!
Don’t change a thing that you do. From your humming and singing to finding your shmutz. I wait with bated breath for your tutorials. You are such an inspiration. Keep doing what you do.
Thank you for another fantastic tutorial, Ms Donna!👏👏 I so look forward to enjoying a large cuppa tea (or maybe two) and my "learning time with Ms. Donna" on a Sunday afternoon. Your voice, teaching manner, stories, fur baby antics and humming are fun and quite soothing. Thank you again for generously giving your time to teach us. Keep on humming, dear lady!!🥰🤗🥰🌹🌹💖🙏
I particularly enjoyed that you were humming "If I Only Had A Brain" toward the end... 😁 Those individuals who find it annoying, can always turn off the sound and use the captions... Thank you for sharing! ❤️ 🤗
Fabulous. I can always tell YOUR art from all the others. It's all YOU, Donna. Thank you very much for posting & sharing your tutorials. I very much appreciate and enjoy all of them. You are truly one of a kind. Thankful for you. Your laugh is wonderful.
Donna, I think this pendant is my favorite so far and you are such a joy to watch and listen to. Your voice is very mesmerizing and I love your humming and your sweet way with your fur babies. Thanks for sharing once again.
You are wonderful as you are! Louis reminds me of my cat Sampson, who will sit right next to me and cry as loudly as possible! Usually it's a food issue! 😊
I absolutely love and respect your positive attitude as far as the unnecessary comments about you and your "doe da doe-ing" and your humming, etc. are concerned. However, from my perspective, there are some right and wrong things when it comes to UA-cam and social media etiquette. You guys, the creators, spend a whole lotta time and energy, not only making the item in the tutorial but making the tutorial itself. Then you offer it to us, the viewers, for free. For FREE. If a viewer is consuming your well thought out, beautifully, and professionally made videos for FREE, they should keep their petty comments to themselves. Most of us have a deep appreciation for everything you do da do. 😉❤
Hi D 💜 please please please carry on being you because you're such a lovely lady 💜 I enjoy how relaxed, fun and totally inviting all your classes are and how you present them then I remember how lucky I am to be part of classes with the artist Donna Kato!! So please keep humming, have Louis barking and talking in the background D 💜🥰💜
Thank you for this! I still use your original technique that you taught in Bristol several years ago Donna! 😊 I'm going to try this new version as it will let me make multiple copies of the same shape! I have always enjoyed your do, do, do's and hums! 😊 It wouldn't be Donna without them! ❤
Thanks for sharing this great technique! I'm a 1 year newbie to polymer clay and i just love your tutorials, especially all of your humming and do di dos! Perhaps you're not for everyone, but I love your enthusiasm and as my Momma always taught me, if you don't have anything nice to say..... Keep being YOU Donna❤
Thank you Donna. I have learned so much from you. Thanks to you and your careful teaching i am making things i never thought possible for me to achieve. That makes me very happy, so again, many, many thanks.
Thank you. I was looking through my art books, and I was so excited when I found your book “the Art of Polymer Clay. “Creative Surface Effects. I don’t even remember buying it.
OMG I cannot stop cracking up. Louie is precious and hysterically funny. Nice tute, great way to start a day, gonna try it next. One more note; love how you handled negetive Millie’s. So happy your secure enough to not allow that kind of attitude to rain on your parade. Thanks Donna
Great video! I love your teaching style. I've often wondered how unhappy one must be to complain or give unsolicited "advice" of a personal nature on a UA-cam video, especially the free ones. I hum and talk to myself often, and catch myself humming along with you 😊.
Thank you, Laura. I decided to just go on and not think too much about it. People do feel very free to dispense advice - thinking they’re being helpful. Fine line. I guess you have to ask if you’d say it to anyone in person. Hugs, D❤️
Thank you for another great tutorial! I love your teaching style and all of the noises you make, especially, “doink”. That is a for sure a word used in my youth. Beautiful work!
Your humming delights my soul! Thank you for all the delights over the years, for your generosity, and also your kindness to me and my mom at Ravensdale in Issaquah. The inspiration there will stay with me forever! I'm truly enjoying clay again after a long break. I am excited to have recently added a used Foredom (ohhh the SHINE!) and my next splurge is a Monified pasta machine, I hope! It's all about making things easier on my hands and arms so I can continue for many more years. 💙~Marcella P. S. Jeffrey Dever showed us a tip on working with polymer clay hollow forms. He also used clay as a mould, but adding a layer of Armour All letting it dry, and adding another layer, makes the clay easily release from the clay mould after baking. I think I've used my finger or a brush to apply instead of spraying, which is irregular. Hope that helps. Plus it's fun and especially exciting the first time, lol!
Don't change anything, I love the way your personality comes through. Most people I turn the sound off because they drone on and on. I put the sound on with you and you always bring a smile to my face. We are so lucky you share your huge talent with us. Saw you in Bristol too! You were the reason I went to the weekend. I love your style.
We love you and your humming and singing and doinking.. Whomever said that needs to remember that you are sharing your knowledge and talent for FREE, and they really should concentrate on realizing THAT fact, rather than complaining, about ANYTHING. How rude... Stuff like that makes me so mad.. You are perfect Donna. Dont change a thing... Doink doink doink, hummmmm, hummmm doink doink doink! 😂
Nonie, the bayonet clasp is already on the wires. Now, you can purchase this type of clasp in different diameter sizes, though. I would think fire mountain gems would have them. They're good and easy to use. Big hugs, D

Good morning Donna. Thank you for another wonderful tutorial in your inimitable, fabulous style! Love all your humming and sideways comments and have lightbulb moments in almost all your tutorials. Hi Donna, love everything about you, humming donning and all your wonderful animals. I have a question Is your cord 2mm and if so where do you get the black beads that separates the shapes? And what is the brand of the sanding sheet?nThanks for all you share with us,,subscribed ? Of course///
Hi Jill! Okay the cord is 2mm. The black beads are Japanese matte “e” beads. That’s what we always referred to them as. Big holes! I’ve had them forever so I don’t know where to get them now. I use Abranet sanding sheets. They last a loong time. Thanks for subbing! Hugs, D❤️
Thank you Donna for another great tutorial and I love your humming. Do you know what type of black wire is used for the necklace wire. Did you buy it already made or just glued the clasp to that black wire.
Do you have a link to the wire necklaces? Also I didn’t find those skinny bayonet clasps on Fire Mountain so do you have a link for those as well? Thank you so much for sharing your vast talents!!!❤️
I think she said she got it in a DIY store like Home Depot in the USA or Home Base in the UK. Those rods look very much like an off cut from a plumbing job. I’m in the uk and I just put “metal rods” in the Amazon search bar and got 3 or 4 different thickness of metal rods. I use them for a lot of things from closing a seam to putting 2 parallel on my worktop to level up clay when I roll and don’t want to get the pasta machine out. Finally I use them like BBQ skewers in the oven to keep holes in shape. I hope this helps x
Also, the best burnishing tool a lot of clay-ers (?) use is a “metal soap”. It works wonders as a curing base to slightly curve a pendant piece too. Amazon sells them as well as home goods stores
Please don’t change anything to your style, Donna. You’re the most talented clayer of them all and your humming is wholesome and lovely.
Exactly
Perfectly said!
Thank you, Vee!
I do agree. It would be actually really weird not to hear your humming! And I definitely enjoy every video you submit...

A quick question please: do those bayonet clasps work with buna cord or only with multi wire strands? If so, they will be the answer to a prayer.
Now, I’m off to watch the cha cha bracelet on the member’s channel!!❤
Nonie, I’m sure you can find bayonet clasps alone. Maybe Fire Mountain Gems or Rio Grande (are they still around?). Hmm…❤️
My grandmother use to say some people will argue with a stop sign.😂😂😂😂😂
your grandmother was 100% correct. these days some people seem incapable of happiness or contentment. i'm old, life was simpler, not always better but definitely simpler.
Is this about the size of a Cadbury egg? I can see this a very useful technique .thank you.
Brava !!!! 🥰🥰
Suggestion so you won't need repel gel or foil. Prior to baking the form brush it with a coat of mica powder. You'll have a permanent repel surface.
👍

Donna where did you get your metal rods you use? I’ve searched everywhere to find a set in metal.
I think she said she got it in a DIY store like Home Depot in the USA or Home Base in the UK. Those rods look very much like an off cut from a plumbing job.
I’m in the uk and I just put “metal rods” in the Amazon search bar and got 3 or 4 different thickness of metal rods.
