alhamdulillah I began my Arabic journey with Ustadh Asif Meherali 7/8 years ago; in the journey, I have learned from different sources and practiced and read different books. But I didn't leave this course. After 7/8 years, I am at this stage, and InshaAllah I will complete this course. Now I can talk basic Arabic with a native speaker and understand most of the verses of the Quran directly and read basic Arabic text. Alhamdolillah. May Allah give an excellent reward to this brother.
This teacher says Arabic language is enjoyable and fascinating. We can say Masha Allah teaching style of this teacher is enjoyable and fascinating for his students.
Lesson 21 Introduction to Majzoom particles لم and لمّا, they cause the end of the verb to loose the Nun and become fixed with a Sukoon, only exception is the 2nd person feminine and 3rd person feminine they retain the Nun. لم is used to negate the past to mean "not", example, لم اذهبْ الى السوق اليوم "I didn't go to the market today". Or you could say this statement using ما to negate, ما ذهبت الى السوق اليوم which means the same thing but it is more eloquent to use the 1st example. And لمّا means "not yet", example, لمّا افهمْ الدرس "I don't understand the lesson yet". It also come with Madi but the meaning is "when" and this is more common, example, لمّا ذهبتَ إلى السوق "When you went to the market". Words in Arabic grammar fall into three categories, Ism (noun), Fe'l (Verb) and حرف (particle), in English grammar there is 8 categories. Zarf in Arabic are considered nouns. The particle الآتي has another form الاءي.
Can anyone inform what this master teacher is doing and how he can be contacted. I wish to express my gratitude to him for the knowledge of Arabic I learnt from his lectures.
