Bro. Asif Meherally seems to enjoy teaching. His teaching style is very fascinating. MashaAllah. May Allah Taala bless him handsomely and all those who brought his lectures online.
1:55:27 here he says that الصغير is نعت for اخ. But نعت should match منعوت in definite•indefinite. As I’m concerned اخ has not ال and صغير has. Can someone explain this for me please? Jazakallah khair.
The word اخ is indefinite alone but when there is an association to someone or something then it becomes definite. Here اخي ( my brother) is 2 words and the pronoun makes the word اخ definite. This is why we also say اخ is مضاف I.e. associated to the pronoun ي .
