I’ve been watching for about two years now, but it just hit me why this series resonates with me so deeply. It brings back a vivid memory from when I was eight, at my best friend’s community pool. We wandered over to the volleyball court and found this incredible collection of sandcastles-each one unique, like its own little world. We never knew who built them, but we invented stories and lore for each castle: one was an arena that we decided was a prison (we were definitely inspired by Arbiter’s Grounds lol), another a cluster of small houses as a village, there was a huge moated settlement with a castle in the center (I honestly now wonder if the creator played Zelda now lol). That discovery sparked something magical, and from then on, every trip to the beach with my best friends became about recreating those sandcastles and expanding the story. This series feels like it’s capturing grown-up version of that magic-taking something simple and crafting an entire universe around it. It’s beautiful and nostalgic, and I think that’s why it connects with so many of us. You’re building more than just a series; you’re building the kind of joy and wonder that stays with people forever.
Of all of the many cool things this time lapse shows, my favorite is when you pick a rock texture, scroll it around for a few seconds, and suddenly it looks *perfect*
I commented I think last time that some small little alcoves and stuff would be neat. I like the cave you added under the fountain here! Made me think maybe you could combine the ideas and make a tiny, hidden cave somewhere with Zonai ruins or Ancient Sheikah tech or something of the sort =) Nothing big, maybe just like a bit of wall or something.
To celebrate the winter season, might I suggest some grassy hilly area with a log cabin and some fallen trees and grassy ramps to make a shield surfing course to honor the snowboarding/shield surfing in Hebra Mountains in BotW?
i wonder if at the end of this, maybe there could be a way to upload it to VRchat. i mean someones uploaded maps of hyrule before, but itd be really cool to explore your map in vr! i hope you have an awesome new year, thank you for sharing your work with us. its always so amazing to watch this project come together.
I don't remember if I already made these suggestions, but the little Triforce Islands where you put the pearls ... what if close to those areas are the power wisdom and courage Springs from Skyward Sword and breath of the Wild
I said on a past video how I'd do this differently. I'd try to envision a new definitive version of hyrule where all the games can take place in that version of the world and maybe the choices made as one link affect the options available to later ones although I think I'd rather imply that this isn't the regular hyrule but a new hyrule even within the narative created when the multiverse got crunched together into one single entity. So alternate simultanious links would have their repective adventures at the same time and in the same world and ever work together to take down ganon.

I do wonder, if the ancient guardians from BotW are already buried, maybe have signs, like half buried guardians, or something XD
