Longterm banding (like overnight) makes dents in my hair! I tend to pull all my hair back and band for a few minutes like you did.

I needed that tip because I stopped doing wng because banding overnight ruined the hard earned curls but I dont like it super shrunken.

The only thing I can pair gels with is olive oil before and sometimes after to break the cast but I prefer argan or coconut oil to break the cast.

Quick question for you.... have you ever used a gel product before that irritated your scalp if it touched that area (whether intentional or accidental)... ?
I personally haven’t. I’ve used conditioners that have irritated my scalp way worse than any gels. I just think it’s allergies (which I don’t have really bad, never have) for a lot of people who experience irritation so it’s going to be different from person to person.

Okay. Cool. I asked because my scalp would produce a burning sensation if Eco Styler Gel ever touched it.... I would try to cover my scalp with a little bit of oil to act as a barrier to my scalp if i would use it.... that was about 2 years ago the last time i used it....
