Human rights based practice in social work | Social Work Week 2022

  • This session will focus on the key role that social workers play in upholding and safeguarding human rights.
    It will be co-delivered by the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) with social workers and people with lived experience. It will cover principles and best practice around upholding human rights, drawing attention to the relevant professional standards and to resources which can help support human rights based practice.

    a very informative presentation, demonstrating the importance of challenging practices and 'not shying away' from uncomfortable language so that the negative aspects of the actions/restrictions are reinforced in the written records. Thank you everyone
