It also wouldn't make sense for shinobi to use something like this since they were a secret spies, so having a sword that would identify you as one of them would kinda defeat the whole purpose of being a "secret" spy.

I get the suspicion that Yasuke is either a Templar at the start of the game, or unknowingly working for them through Oda Clan. I also hope to god we finally get to see what Clay meant by writing "Yonaguni" on the walls of his cell in the very first game.
Yonaguni I think is an Isu precursor site or a "temple". In the real world, it is an underwater mysterious archaeological site with megalithic structures compared to the pyramids of mesoamerican culture.

Would fit in with the fact that historically Nobunaga was known to shelter Jesuit missionaries and would tie into his interest in exotic goods. Maybe the story can have it be an artifact that he is gifted by one of the Jesuits in return for his pledging allegiance to the Templars.

I think Ubisoft are just too lazy to give Assassins dual hidden blades now. They want to focus on the other weapons with a single hidden blade used simultaneously. It's quite irritating since the Assassins Post-Altaïr should generally have two hidden blades since it was innovated in his Codex.
I was a bit skeptical about this game as it’s not exactly my style. But man, it does sound pretty fun. Whether or not it performs well I am sure I will find some enjoyment in it.
Finally after 9 years, we can play again as an Assassin and hunting Templars. Since Origins to Mirage is playing as Hidden Ones and hunting the Order of the Ancients. As much as I am excited for the narrative now, I am also curious of what role will Basim will do here. Will he be the modern day character we will be playing who will relive these memories on the animus since Layla is not around anymore? This time around, I wonder also who's genetic memory they will be using or who are the decendants of NAoe and Yasuke will be introduced?
