Why would someone want to beat a person in the first place, what's the point of comparing and competing, just to say I'm better than the other person..... one should only compete with there own self esteem and ego without seeking approval. The hardest and most rewarding moment is when you can stand on your own two feet, and say l did it my way, for those who win will certainly lose one day. We win some and lose some, and to except defeat is the way to play, and ones ego will stay at bay.

@Dave Welby: the dudes don’t get it. In order to reach something, to better oneself, one can in the process pass others but that shouldn’t be a goal in itself, the actual winning is being a better version of oneself through hard work and dedication. I get it! If others define the world only in the polar opposite of winners and losers, they forget just like our whole planet there is a world between both poles! They are missing a world of possibilities. It’s kind of narrow minded to see everything through the lens of either just winners or just losers, childish if you’d ask me.

    A couple of things.
First, elements aren’t bad and you don’t need to “protect” your children from them. They are absolutely a part of the universe and you can use the elements to your advantage and use them for good. We don’t have to live in this survival mode that this whole corrupt system has had us constantly living in. Things are changing and this is the age of Aquarius, the time of the revelation. The earth is changing for the better and we are awakening as a whole.
Second, while it’s true that yes we need to be stimulated, it doesn’t have to be hard vigorous work. We literally have the technology to do most things for us. Anything repetitive can be automated. We need to be relaxing more and taking time to ourselves to figure out who we truly are. Avoiding it and doing vigorous work doesn’t allow you to connect to your soul. In fact when you do that, you suppress your hidden emotions that you eventually have to face in order to heal and get better. Taking time alone helps you to heal. We have been spending years working for these corporate jobs for 40+ hours a week, these menial jobs that don’t actually stimulate us, and for what? For corporations that don’t care about your life in any way, only profit. People need to relax and take time to themselves and this is the perfect time for that. The most important stimulation is knowledge. Learn everything you can and take everything with a grain of salt. Learn about how the universe works and connect with your soul and nature. Everything works in synchronicity and when you are truly connected to your soul is when you can start to see them. Don’t think that you have to work vigorously just to succeed because that is not the only way.

Lost my left arm, severe head injury, and just escape death. I won't lie and say I didn't get depressed. But I quickly realized I can either fight and move forward. Or do nothing and truly die. Due to two outstanding parents, I fought the good fight. Was it easy? Hell no!!!
Did it pay off in due time? Hell YES!!!
I became independent again, married, had two beautiful children. And YES.......I CONTINUED on as a drummer. Crediting Rick Allen of Def Leppard for what he had done. I took his style and applied it to my drumming. Thanks to Jim Darnell, and SIDEKICK DRUMS. It has allowed me to play an ALL ACOUSTIC drum kit.

Wait a minute! I have the same thought; I don't actually care to be what I call a luxury loon. In my recent resume, I also typed in that I am "achievement-oriented"; directed toward achievement. To me, Joe, being, or getting more successful is mosty about accomplishing something! Then accomplishing something more in your chosen field, and interests. I do not want to brag, and I rarely do, but great minds think alike, Joe?
Furthermore, many people equate success with a very large amount of wealth. Having a heap of money is not a very large part of my philosophy of success. Besides your health, sanity, and Wisdom, I believe money is at most a close secondary consideration. I imagine Timothy O'Reilly saying, "bite your tongue", and "you took a long vacation on planet Pluto". However, there have been people who had enormous amounts of money, and then lost all or most of their wealth!
Here is a true story. When I studied first year at a University, and worked very hard part-time at a very busy, horrendous restaurant in my early twenties in the early to mid 1980s there was a newspaper article that made a marked impression on me. Back in early 1985, there was a Canadian lottery winner who won exactly $500, 000. Even today half a million dollars is a large amount, especially if you make wise, careful investments. However, getting to the point, after 11 weeks this man, 52 years old, who won 500, 000 dollars went back to the edge of poverty. It was written with his photo in a Toronto newspaper in Ontario that in 11 weeks he had spent, and misspent his winnings; and that he only had $11 in his bank account! True story. That's right, in 11 weeks, he was down to 11 dollars!
I cut out the news story, pasted it to my wall, among other news stories from my favourite newspapers, and took a picture of it. Therefore, I believe you get my point.
However, later in your lecture you made a very important explanation about discipline; so maybe that belief, or "lesson" also applies. I mention this sort of discipline because I listened, and looked at the rest of your fine motivational video. Thumbs up, by the way.

Yes the stuff he saying is correct. However the dynamics of it all is consistency and balance. And ultimately a mindset. Personally I don’t think you should force yourself to work when you’re sick. You are going against yourself, rest is an essential part of the process, that’s why sleep is here. Also, don’t think you have to work hard, that phrase to me creates resistance. Work smart in doing what you love and practice the right way. It’s that simple.

Watching these videos has been extremely helpful to me. I'm currently 21 and starting to finally do more with my life. All up until now I've always been disinterested or afraid of trying new things in life and it's only made me miserable because I had nothing going for me in life. Never accomplished anything, never had a girlfriend, nothing. Now, I'm trying new things like taking up martial arts (which I love doing) and getting myself into college. My whole past I've basically been a loser and now that I've left the comfort zone, I feel my story has just started! My plan is to only keep going forward in life and try new things. Got nothing to lose. And I'm excited!

I celebrate anyone's success, but Joe in this monologue had a lot of leaps of logic, non sequiturs, and kind of a weird lack of empathy for someone who talks a lot about enlightenment. Yes, people need to own their shit, but we all also have to take into consideration that not everyone has had it as easy as we have, or the number of obstacles in another's way. Joe never seems to get this part, and seems to display more of an attitude of, "Well, I got on the lifeboat, fuck the rest of y'all". It's distasteful.

I had a tought yesterday while running. Just got back to training regularly and it has been a struggle. Every step is a challenge. “Ok now I am going to get dressed. Ok now I have to get up and go to the stadium. Got to the stadium, still seed in my mind that I do not have to do this, even though I did the first two steps. At the end got my 3km in.” Just need to keep at it.

I know it because I grew up in dire circumstances and learned the hard way that I had to be the go getter I became. Two important lessons learned early in life have served me greatly. One is it's my responsibility for making my life exciting and building the life I want. Second, every day plan to take time to pause and do something to love yourself and feel gratitude for what good you have done or are about to do. Being in charge of your thinking and thoughts can only come when you learn from the books of choice. Never stop reading the very best as I make living manuals out of them. It's amazing if you get your Spirit, Mind, Thinking, Body, Emotions, Breathing, Passions and Love in good balance. Living full requires experiencing all the good that comes through sharing, caring, doing. If you can't do all that you want to do, do what you can do. Life is beautiful only if you learn to enjoy it in gratitude and feel that invigorating connection to the Source!

    4. Express yourself elegantly and without profanity. In this way, you inherit a civilized standard of living that reflects on other people and makes them better people. Respecting people by using vocabulary without swearing leads to a civilized society of good manners and tolerance.

    • @TheJaguarthChannel
      @TheJaguarthChannel 4 роки тому

I vehemently disagree with this regard for profanity. The profane is no different than any other aspect of a language- be it grammar, punctuation, or nomenclature. Profanity possesses a unique strength in efficiently and accurately communicating strong emotions or intentions. The abandonment of this linguistic tool is a hinderance based upon a delusion of civility; it carries with it the assumption that these specific terms carrying these specific emotions somehow impart harm onto others. This is not true, when an individual expresses offence at hearing or reading profanity they are taking it upon themselves and deciding to be offended. The subjectivity of such offense is never more clear then in cases of futile censorship. One may decide to censor profanity in such a manner where the exact words or meaning is entirely understood by any observer- in this manner it is no different than if you had demonstrated the profane boldly! Yet, society will deem it somehow acceptable for you to say the exact same thing- conveying the exact same information just by artistically modifying the symbols or vocals associated with the profanity.
