@DannyP-dm1pw It's not about "worship" it's about passion and gratitude. Maybe you've just never been passionate about anything in your life. 🤷🏽♀️ It's not only about the "celebrity" it's about what they accomplished and who the "fans" looked up to, and wanted to follow, and who they credit as "their inspiration." People always get down on celebrities (and fans) and say "they're just people like everyone else" and *it doesn't matter* , they're people that have done extraordinary things and *the fans* take note of that, and are inspired by it. When those "naysayers" mock fans. I don't really think they understand fans' perspectives at all! I can't speak for anyone else, but in my case, growing up, I had a *very rough* upbringing, and I strongly depended on Tv/Films and yes, certain celebrities, as an *escape* from my reality. I took comfort in their acting, their smiles, their positive energy, because I had none of my own. These "regular people" saved my life and helped me to become a writer, so much so that I personally helped others *through* my writing. They made me have big dreams, and I worked hard to accomplish those dreams. So when those "naysayers" make fun of fans, they're really just mocking them for being passionate over something/someone that they love just because they "don't understand it". And that's something *I've never understood* . Why is looking up to people with admiration and inspiration such a "bad thing"?? It doesn't even have to be an actor. It could literally be anybody in history... Martin Luther King Jr., Langston Hughes, Mohammed Ali, Babe Ruth , Frank Sinatra, Betsy Ross, Harriet Tubman, Leonardo Da Vinci, Anne Sullivan/Helen Keller, George Washington Carver, Stan Lee, Walt Disney, Harry Houdini, Michael J. Fox (who's done so much for parkinsons) Maya Angelou, Beethoven, B.B. King, Etc. Etc. Etc. Just because "actors" didn't "save the world" doesn't mean they're not "heroes" in their own way and should be ignored for their achievements. Regardless if you (or anyone else) sees it as "nothing" someone else sees it as *everything* . Just remember that the next time you don't "understand something."
