I know you gotta have it watered down, the knockdown hides a lot of stuff but doesnt required skip trowel work, the mud is a texture mud or all purpose , dont use a hot mud. Oh amd that is a harbour freight tex gun using the smallest tip that comes with it.
The number 3 tip. Between 35 to 45 psi. 5 to 6 water sponges depending on how thin you want the knockdown texture. You can use any mud, but it is more recommended to use all purposes (green led ).
Just a dry wall joint compound. You can use 20 minute joint compound and once it firms slighty knock it down with a 16" putty knife. If you dont have a sprayer use a dry tile sponge.
Nobody can give you that answer it’s all about how much water you prepped mud and most importantly weather temperature humidity etc (Good rule of thumb is after you spray muds wet glossy wait until it’s lost some of its gloss) not all of it, cause then u waited to long and now dried out
Use a texture sponge and joint compound combined with a little water (to help create better peaks.) Smooth the compound on the wall with a knife, blot the sponge on top to create peaks that stick out from the wall, and let that dry for several minutes. Then lightly smooth out those peaks in one direction like in the video, and let dry.
@@FortWorthCatfishgetters To me it looks good but the textures I see here down south have smaller patterns and many are not even knocked down (I think they call these Santa Fe?).
Wow, looks so easy.

What mix do you put in your sprayer
Use lot of water and wait until the spatter turns dull before you knock it down
Are u using the green bucket the all purpose?
What nozzle? What PSI? How watery is the compound? green lid?

How do you make this texture without the gun??

You dont.. unless you try the roller idea which is dumb and will make it ugly.
What machine are you using? And what is the compound?
Home Depot bought
How long do I wait to knock down
I need one
Harbor freight
You’re suppose to add a layer of mud to the drywall so it sticks better boss
厉害!👍
How to make this texture
What's that texture called
Knockdown
Shouldn't the drywall be primed first?
Yup!!
No, if you read rhe manufacturer's guideline, it can go directly on drywall.. As it's no different than joint compound going directly on to drywall.
Why would you prime the wall and then prime it again after the texture goes on to paint
U would prime the wall first to get perfect coverage to hide if any and all imperfections
@@ironheadhooligan so it's kind of a preference?
STOP SPRAYING STRAIGHT LINES!!!!!
CIRCULAR MOTION GOD DAMN IT.
you can literally see each step.

Correct
lol yep
做这种墙,不是房东要求,那就是技术还没到家。。
你说的很对,这边都是这样做,弥补墙壁不平
Knockdown is for finishers that can't finish.
Level 5 it
You can tell how sloppy this guy is by looking at the drywall mud lines...I'm not a drywall guy I'm an electrician and low voltage guy
Horrible. Flounder everywhere! He knows the steps but no experience.
I don't get why people like this texture. It's terrible. Looks cheap and lazy.
I hate knock down texture. No better than popcorn ceilings in my opinion.
None of your business
That's a rough knock-down. Too big.
Lol , cool when you build your house or flip one tell the contractor you don't want a medium knockdown texture you want it light

I'm in Fort worth Texas myself and doing 3 remodels lol . And we just go by light medium and heavy when we spray
First off... wtf... spraying texture in a straight line? Circle pattern always circle, this guy " Mr. Goerge this guy no worth $20.00".
That's uneven texture
Really
