- Art journal flip through with a thorough tour of my Mixed media Moleskine sketchbook. I did something drastic by combining two journals, ripping one apart and making one big, fat monster art journal! I am so happy with how it turned out I couldn't wait to share it with you on here. I talk through all the pages and spreads with a little (but not too much Wendy waffle,) on each. Just a bit of background into the emotions and meanings behind the making of the pages. There is a variety of approaches in this journal as it spans over a long period of time. It has become a best friend and a safe & sacred space for me to express myself and process difficult emotions. I hope you enjoy the flip through.

The page you called one of your ugly pages, I found to be quite beautiful. I was surprised when you said 'ugly pages'. I have those pages as well, and I understand that somethings just don't happen they way we like, or want. I just wanted to let you know that I found beauty in that onion layer. ;)

Hello! I am very much transitioning in every aspect- financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, just got dx with ADHD, depression, and anxiety at 41 years old. I've learned very harsh loss for the first time (times 4) in my "charmed" life. I feel like I've aged a decade in the past 24 months. Literally nothing is the same and I am having a hard time "staying alive." This video touched me in a way that I haven't felt for over two years. I'm not a sappy person and it's usually all jokes with me, but I can say honestly that I think finding this video is going to help me find myself again. It seems a little irrational to my logical brain, but there's something here for me and I think I just wanted to say thank you for putting yourself out here.

I'm feeling more free to layer in my journal since I've discovered your channel a few months ago. I've reached the end of my big newish journal I started and am now making a second pass through gluing, painting, drawing, writing and it's getting so rich! Wow! Re-reading my ideas I forgot about and now deciding to actually do some of those ideas! I'm learning so much in this new focus on art and everything journalling! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Oh this is so beautiful!!! I often pull pages from one journal and add them to my art journal... or i will journal in a regular notebook 📒 or notepad 🗒 and then added to my art journal and I love it!

I've discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I really like it ! Thanks to you I've started my own art journal (I've done art for years, but it's the first time I'm combining the sketch book with writing and collages. since I've been struggling to draw these last few years, collaging other people's drawings et doodling around it is helping me tremendously !) and I'm now pushing other people to do the same ;) It is a life savior in those times of struggles.

I totally understand that feeling of not liking one of the pages and not wanting to look it, but I think that spread is beautiful ❤️ it seemed very raw and real. Once you flipped to that pages, it just reached out and captivated me right away! I am sure you will get it to a place you are happy with as well though. Beautiful work

I love the layering on your pages. I'm finding that my journaling is evolving even in the first 10 pages. I tend to be a perfectionist with my art and I've made my journal a place to create freely without judgement.....I added a quote at the beginning that you had suggested to encourage this. Hi I am an artist in South Gloucestershire.
I have recently found your channel and I am loving it.
I have always loved art and thought of myself as an artist because I have a passion for it but recently I feel like even though I have the soul/energy of an artist I am not actually "being" an artist.
I have known I need to create more art for a long time but now I am also starting to realise that there is more to being/living as an artist.
Like bringing more colour into my life for example enjoying nature more etc...actually enjoying the beauty we see in the world and want to re-create.
I cannot follow art as a career due to my health so I have been struggling to figure out how to fully start "being" an artist or living my "artistic life".
Your art and your life is helping me with this and is very inspiring to me and because you have energy problems too you don't make me feel guilty that I am currently to low to really push through at full speed.
Which even though changing is a high priority is also very important due to my health problems.
I think some of my art problems may be that 1. being empathic maybe I have became too accustomed to blocking things out and 2. being ill my life and clothes etc have all became very toned down and just comfy.
I also started to think about the fengshui of my bungalow after one of your recent videos which I have not done for a while, I read up on it and the next day I cleaned my front door and left it open to let some positive energy in :) so thank you for that reminder.
I really like that you just chat/ramble in your videos and be yourself, I like UA-camrs that do that and it is nice to find an art UA-camr that does it, as the talk is more interesting.
Thank you for your videos I have a channel myself (i haven't posted anything for a long time) so I know the huge amount of work it takes and thank you for the help/support/inspiration it is giving me.
