How I Finally Got My Infernal Cape after 3 Years of Attempts

- After years of avoiding it I have finally returned to one of the hardest PvM encounters in Oldschool Runescape - the Inferno.

I would like to note that even though this video only shows a handful of attempts I have put a large number of hours into learning how to do the Inferno in order to get my first Infernal cape. For those who want to see more inferno content, I plan to return very soon to try to get the Master / Grandmaster Combat Achievements tied to the Inferno, but for now just enjoy the progress of my getting my very first infernal cape.

This was genuinely funny and entertaining. Well done. I too am at the hair-out-pulling stage of Inferno, I've attempted far more times than I want to admit, only reaching Zuk one time during which I died to Jad on a missed prayer switch. Wave 63 is the bane of my existence and in my opinion is the only true hard part of the Inferno. I want the cape so bad I can taste it, but unfortunately it's left my mouth with severe burns.

@@dejankrautberger I did finally get it. My set up was: Equipped - Justiciar Helm, Occult Necklace, Ancestral Top, Armadyl Chainskirt, Guardian Boots, Barrows Gloves, Ring of Suffering (I), Ava's Assembler, Dragon Arrows, Crystal Shield, Kodai Wand.
In inventory - Toxic Blowpipe(1k dragon darts), Necklace of Anguish, Armadyl Chestplate, Twisted Bow, Rune Pouch with 3k each of Blood, Death, and Soul runes, Falador Shield 4, Stamina Pot(4), 7 Saradomin Brew, 2 Bastion Pot(4), 12 Super Restore(4). Augury and Rigour unlocked.

Hell yeah man. I just got my first cape today after 50+ attempts and 6-7 Zuks and came to YT looking for first cape content. Great video man. Nice job.

Thank you for making an Infernal video that isn't just the last 20 seconds of Zuk. Really entertaining with your jokes as well. I got my first cape in Leagues 3. Going back to main game to try it now. Triple Jads and Zuk without fail is going to be easy from now on, but im terrified of doing the waves without Absokute Unit, lol.

This sounds so much like my story. I started inferno attempts a year ago, made it to zuk and got burnt out after I died. 6 months later I did 2 more attempts and got to zuk both times but died and then had IRL stuff come up. Here we are 6 months later, a total of 1 year after my first attempt wanting to do inferno again. It haunts my nightmares.. having an item I never got to obtain. I watch inferno streams, I’ve seen every guide and I really want this cape.

Barraging the melee can help a lot with solving waves when chase nibblers
Just did mine recently on leagues, was extremely good practice at Zuk so hopefully when I reach him again main game I'll be more prepared

This video motivated me to try again I tried once a little bit after release died on wave 49 on spawn pretty much haven't done a second attempt since I raged so hard but watching this video, I got to go do it now lol.

Devout boots & ring of the gods are your friend, even if you flick thru the entire inferno, you will still end up needing that prayer bonus. I camped some protection prayers for at least 10 waves
It all just comes down to prayer flick timing and remembering to drink the Sara brew

I finally got it after 2 months easily 100+ attempts, of those 6 zuk's and 4 3jad's. had to get a tbow loan at the end to help push me through but the cape is mine!! devout + rotg was very useful I did not have to even lazy flick my protection prayers when i was facing things 1 v 1. I did however learn 1 tick alt as a universal solve for the entire fight. I still struggle with mage + range pillar stacks and ended up towards the end just flinching them to get more zuk attempts.
I was very unfortunately not aware I had my pk skull protection off doing scorpia on my iron and he lost his devout boots though :( I know he won't do inferno for a very long time bc I need things like bowfa on that account but the dread of doing endless medium clues from a mistake is bleh. good news is its probably well over a year of actively prepping for gear - need/want ROTG but do have suffering already, need bowfa or tbow spoon, no cox prayers despite 100kc, occult, a good staff (maybe warped staff good enough) ) - so by the time i do all that i might be willing to just do it without devout's and go grind it if i really struggle for prayer later
anyone during this insane mental grind - keep pushing! It's been a week and I still just sit there admiring my cape lol. My advice is to not worry about what wave ur on in terms of dying. Every single run is a different layout of monsters and you're gaining experience facing different variants of solves. It's a journey. Even though I'm very happy with my cape and I had some very upsetting moments, the overall grind and journey of doing it myself was some of the most fun and rewarding content I've ever done in runescape

I've had pretty much the same exact experience with inferno burn out, but I'm back trying to max and once I get my hands on a bofa and the crystal armor I'm hoping I'll be able to finally get the cape as well
All in all, bofa feels like old BP in terms of DPS, but just the quality of life with the extra range and easier flicking made these recent attempts so much more enjoyable imo

I think the timer he was using didn't add the extra time and just resumed from when it paused, so the timer was basically off 1:45

I might be missing something with crystal, if so could someone help out? It seems like you need a lot of crystal shards to be able to use crystal. Doesn’t it degrade pretty quickly then you have to go collect a whole bunch of crystal ? I guess via gauntlet probably best way to get crystals?

Im in 6 attempts and got to wave 62 twice :// kind of tilting to die when I know what I should be doing, even caching myself slacking in real time. Jads/zuk I feel more comfortable with in theory. Done 8kc on simulator. Just a matter of not being a moron and getting to jads ://

Tip for anyone doing inferno - bring eldritch staff. When ur on zuk you’ll need as many brews as you can have as I’m guessing you’ll most likely be tanking the ranger on sets.
