Inferno Wiki: oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/In...
The best and easiest way to cheese your way through the inferno with justiciar and a dinhs bulwark to get your own Infernal cape. Can be done on a budget with a lightbearer, crystal Bowfa, and sgs or saradomin godsword... or in max gear with an elysian spirit shield, twisted bow and eldritch nightmare staff. No need to flick blobs, rangers and magers! Upgrade your fire cape to an infernal cape!

I wonder how many people practiced this on a private server before doing the real thing

@@celebratecrypto3693 omg this sounds like a good plan I might do this
No bullshit, no tick flicking nonsense. Just strait facts with soothing music. Ill be following this guide
For me the hardest part of Inferno waves isn't necessarily the 1-tick flicking stuff that the unstacking with tank setup allows you to avoid having to do --- it's having to solve the wave as quickly as possible as soon as everything spawns. You can "cheese" some of the technical/mechanical parts of Inferno, but not really the mental/strategy parts --- for those you just have to keep practicing until you learn what to do, and unfortunately I'm a slow learner lol.
In any case, excellent guide!
it comes with practice, I still mess up a lot, but thankfully the tank setup gives you a lot of breathing room if you mess up; keep at it
it sounds like you know the problem which is the entire battle. I'm going for my cape now and ever since I started acting immediately I've been able to consistently get to jads and zuk. For me it was just a lightbulb that went off around 35-40kc and it comes from practice and only practice.
@@ricky5369 I've been finding it easier to get through the waves once I started learning the mechanics. Though it's getting really demotivating constantly dying to a wave I can't react fast enough too. It makes me want to cheese it like this, because when I try to send runs everyday I just perform so poorly.
You can cheese that part too by scouting
@@HunkMine You lose damage on the pillars now by doing that don’t you?
This guy makes the best guides. Period.
🥰
His guide on 500 toa got me my kit
I haven't given this an attempt yet, but the way you have the staregy explained makes me feel like this is way more possible for me than I first considered. Will definately be saving this vid and checking pt2 when i eventually get to that stage. Thanks for sharing.
Great guide, so clear and concise!
Hands down the best guides for inferno.
You are a genius. I am writing this as I am about to start double mage wave with 9 restores and 7 brews remaining!!! I have used 1 restore haha. Unbelievable. At least i know now i can get to jads seamlessly. Thanks alot!
and you dont even need all that, you only need like 3 restores for jads and zuk
Straight to the point and quick, first guide I’ve seen where there isn’t an hour of yapping. You made this feel doable, liked 👍🏻
33 second in "yes finally a guide for me!" Love your vids thank you!
This is actually a really great guide and if you put these to practice youll allow yourself to survive longer so you learn more. I quit before I got my cape but I was probably ten or twenty attempts from completion. Like everyone says click yellow. Stop caring about how far you make it without using supplies. I had a decent coach start helping me anytime I made it fourty plus and was constantly reminded he'd rather see me die to blobs early out of brews than die later on with plenty to spare. It's rare to get full stacked (not impossible) so just make it to a new wave to further your knowledge. While the real reward from inferno is not that extra 4 strength bonus but rather the game knowledge. You can still advance your pvm game leaps and bounds further practicing this method. Hopefully inspires the confidence to try sweaty methods down the road. I always saw that northern pillar tucked away as useless but you've shown me it's such an overlooked asset. Unlikely I'll olay again but hey its cool to know.
What a nice and quick guide packed full of great information! I’ve been maxed for years now and was always scared to attempt inferno bc it seems so difficult and I’ve never been bothered to learn 1 tick flicking. I can flick normally tho. But I’ve got most of the necessary gear and I’m tired of looking at my max fire cape lol so I think I will start attempting inferno soon. I will probably just go in with the normal dps setup with tbow and masori.
Hit me up in my discord if you need any help
Youve earned my sub, well done!
Thanks bro. I’m about to start sending my first attempts. It’s pretty intimidating but this guide has made it seem more do-able
Definitely easier than it looks, still challenging but no where near as hard as people make it out to be. Msg in my disc if you need any help

first guide that actually makes the inferno seem doable lol
this makes me really really happy
@@nairyhipples well to put the cherry on top, I haven’t even thought about the inferno but seeing as tho I have the bank and pretty close to the levels I’ve been considering giving it a try especially after watching this
I just wrote an extremely in depth and detailed response and then I accidently exited out so I'm not rewriting it :(
tldr: the inferno is easy, don't be scared, it's overrated. I'm a noob, people just want to scare you, but don't do anything in this video it's just for the memes.
if you respond I'll give you more details, if you decide to try inferno it will be the best decision you've ever made. The learning is fun it's not a grind at all nor difficult. It just takes a while but it's like getting 99 slayer, it's so fun you don't even feel like it's taking a long time.
@@ricky5369 is it bad I’m half way through 97 slayer😅😅😅 but have only gotten 2 fire capes lmao
The biggest thing missing from this cheese guide is how to wave scout properly in the late waves. I wrote up a rough written guide for how to do this, let me know if there's interest for me to post it.
You can scout waves??
@@Hugs_4_Bugs_you pretty much log out as soon as the wave starts if your unsatisfied with where the npcs spawn
@@thelo8058 I think they patched it. Now when you try logging out it says "You can't log out in the beginning of the wave" then they attack you and you gotta safe spot to log out.
your guide on the 500 cheese was insane and kinda fun. I already have a cape but im going to try this lol
If you have a shadow, try a mage run out at the same time, it’s even better
@@nairyhipples YES! i saw a video yesterday and i was thinking about combining your guide and a mage cape, you think even use mage on zuk?
@@PvMFrosties yeah definitely, I’ve done a few runs on my main and alt accounts and it’s just fine. I have 2 videos on mage runs so check those out for the dps numbers. Imo it’s basically a chiller run up to zuk with the zuk fight lasting slightly longer which isn’t an issue for me. Dps is between bowfa and tbow at zuk and jads
@@nairyhipples Gotchya, hey thanks for the reply man. I have been reccomending your videos to basically everyone i know whos going for infernos/ kits. Killer content man. If you ever want to play in game can add me my names, Hand Full
I've been looking around and haven't seen an in depth 1 def inferno guide as quality as this one, I'd be very thankful if you were to do one or if you have any tips and tricks that may be different on a pure. Thank you for the video
Step 1 solve the wave and pray correctly cause you can’t cheese tank blobs and rangers
@nairy bro also can bring an extra brew or restore if you have divine rune pouch because nightmare staff gives 15% magic damage just as kodai does the slight attack bonus isn’t worth bringing both kodai and eldritch if you have divine pouch. I love all your content only reason I’ve slowly gotten 20kc at phosani haha looking forward to 500 attempts once I get my eldritch back to help with supply management. Thanks for your videos man your doing amazing and I can’t wait for more!
100%! All of the videos were back when I was doing my attempts pre-TOA, but yeah you're definitely correct :). Really appreciate the support, it means more than you know 💗
When I get mems back soon. Gonna grind for some gear and follow this guide!
don't do that. this is just for the memes. You should definitely try inferno though, it's the most fun experience in the entire game and achievable by everyone. But you have to learn the right way, it's even EASIER I swear! And fun!
@Ricky yea plan to learn everything first. I know it takes hours to learn and stuff. Just excited to start learning soon! :)
Yo, lovely guide to know the more unorthodox approaches to Inferno. I’ve been trying to push it with the traditional method(s) for the most part. Aside from having access to an Eldritch Staff, Ely Spirit Shield, and a Lightbearer. I bring full DPS gear (Tbow, Masori, Zarry Vambs, Peg boots, etc.).
BIGGEST ISSUE: Identifying how many “ticks” apart multiple mobs are (Blob + Ranger/Mager) or (Mage + Ranger) / (Ranger + Mager)
#1 Issue - Nibblers, idk if there’s a delay or something but I miss (most of the time) the initial click on the Nibblers and are extremely inconvenient when they run the South or West pillar. I just go to the “safespot” on the North pillar.
My PB is 54 but I’ve died on wave 15, 28, and 31 respectfully. Mainly where I have to handle a Blob, Ranger, and Melee.
Issue #2 - Shit spawns where nothing is safespotted or at least the most dangerous mobs aren’t safespotted.
Issue #3 - i have no ability to one tick flick even with metronome, I think it’s my internet connection or my wrist isn’t strong enough to do it.
If you are some time, would you be interested in a Discord teaching stream?
"BIGGEST ISSUE: Identifying how many “ticks” apart multiple mobs are (Blob + Ranger/Mager) or (Mage + Ranger) / (Ranger + Mager)"
If you can 1t alternate pray mage/range (activate one, then click the other, as soon as the "highlight" on the first prayer goes away, immediately click the first prayer again), then blobs will almost never be a problem if you're praying against both at once.
You can pray against the big guy, start attacking it, and wait for them to start their attack. Then as soon as they start their attack animation (ranger bending down/mager light flicker) then start 1t alternating, you may tank a blob hit while setting up if you're slow, but once you start alternating you're home free.
For mage and range combo, pick one you're confident with, and do a 1:3 prayer flick. Ranger is by far the easiest inferno monster to lazy flick this way since their attack animation perfectly lines up with their timing: Ex. Ranger finishes standing up, click range pray, ranger starts bending, click mage, wait for ranger to fully stand up, and repeat.
Unfortunately, if mager and ranger are same ticked this will get you killed way faster if you do pick ranger at first.
1:06 what would you replace ely with? Crystal shield? Elidinis ward (f)? I have most of the gear on screen here except the ely
Crystal shield to start with, then once you get more comfortable switch to the Elidinis ward. I personally prefer high magic accuracy to catch reliable freezes on meleers in the later waves
This has been a great guide so far. I’m at wave 40. Just started today
Would you use crystal or masori for the max gear setup. You were using crystal on the gameplay and it does give extra prayer bonus
100% masori
This guide makes me wanna get addicted to osrs again
😂😂😂
I recommend just learning to do it properly, all those tick flicking methods are incredible, it helps in so many other aspects of the game.
Don’t we need the Crystal helm for the bonus? Or is it better to take the justi helm
Camp justi helm if you plan on following this strategy. If you feel comfortable with the encounter and prayer flick just fine, probably just bring a crystal helm instead; but thats only once you fully understand the Inferno
what about falador shield 4, do you think it's worth taking?
100%! I should have mentioned it I just don't have the diary done so I didn't include it here
Any alternatives for nightmare staff? Dont have it on the ironmeme lol
SGS would be the next best, if not you'll probably have to opt for a high prayer bonus if restore potion management becomes an issue, potentially use a ring of the gods if you have that. Honestly, If it was me and I had access to neither, I'd try to send as many attempts as possible and get comfortable with the waves, then cheese ancient mace hard in serious attempts. Can't say I'd recommend it, but I'd do it if I had no choice.
hey man, thanks for the vids! am struggling to understand what to actually bring because you changed equipment in so many clips.
0:54. Don’t focus on the rest of the gear in the video as some clips were before Masori was released etc
Is crystal over masori just because of pray bonus or weight?
With a BOFA it increases the damage + accuracy of it. If you're referring to the gear generally used in the clips it was just because it was recorded pre-TOA release. I did a cape run on my alt a few weeks back but for some reason, I cant find the footage so I couldn't include it here. Hope that helps
Well, its good to know that someday i could try inferno, if only i could get a fire cape in the first place.
👀 mute sound at 04:38 ok 👀
Jokes aside glad to hear it gives you some confidence
It took like 11 attempts to get a fire cape 10 months later I got my first inferno cape , keep grinding
I got the fire cap pretty easy in just a few attempts. The inferno cape I don’t have the gear yet for it I don’t think. I’m only level 102 grinding to max now so eventually I will get it done. But I will need a full wave for wave guide to watch. Not a generic overview like this. I wouldn’t call this a real guide at all more of a “here’s what it looks like” video. Need much more detail to do the inferno this guide would get you killed right away lol
@@Obito1994 do you think i can replace the 330 milion eldritch staff for a sara godsword if i ever try inferno? For the spec to replace prayer.
@@polentusmax6100 yeah you can use it if you want
great guide, is elysian better than dins bulwark for the tanking part?
Technically no, but you won’t notice with an Ely + tank gear anyway. It saves an invent slot or two using Ely also so definitely take it over a dinhs if you have it
@@nairyhipples hey thanks for quick response saves me 800m so ill use the dins
Bulwark spec can also be nice for tagging jad healers
never thought of that but I'll make sure to add that in the next video! thanks
What is the background track? It's really good.

Awesome guide ! but the discord link doesn't work anymore ?
It’s an active link so not sure what’s up
Here’s another
discord.gg/U4etKvaq6u
is Elysian and Justi more tanky than bulwark with justi?
For ranged hits, dinhs and justi is more tanky, but with an Ely you can save two invent spaces and is more that sufficient for this strat
what worked for me is just kill whatever u cant safespot/trap behind the pillar and maximize pray bonus (devout boot + rotg + range cape + justi helm) leave rigour on for the dps solves in the 60+ waves works every time. just kill the thing.
Solid advice
If I don't have the eldritch, would bringing lightbearer still be BIS? I would have the blowpipe and maybe sgs
SGS can still work, just not as efficient for prayer management. If you don't have an SGS, take a ring of suffering imbued or a ring of the gods; make sure they're imbued.
Just fucking subd let's gooo!
If rly not worried about time can use your fally sheild to gain prayer. Then log for a day to have its ability again. And repeat
Good suggestion.
On a lot of my runs, including the cape run, I was logging out for the day as I didn’t have time to finish the run each day.
Getting my first cape on a 75 at 42 defense build lol. It’s my main. Maxed range mage strength etc but man is it difficult. Wish I could use this strat.
Have you given it a shot with your equivalent max range def gear? Fury, b gloves, ros etc? I’m levelling up an account slowly in the background to see what’s possible with a pure build
wheres part 2?
I saw a lvl 67 earlier today with 1 Def and an inferno cape and came straight here. If he can do it, then so can I 😂
When looking at the setups, for instance at 1:03, do we bring all items in all 3 setups? Or do we pick one? Dumb question I know, lmao.
BTW, can't believe your videos don't get significantly more views, they are very good :)
All items. You need the mage gear for nibbles and barraging back hp/spec'ing for prayer. Then the range gear for DPS and tank gear for the "oh shit" moments.
Not a dumb question, I probably should have labeled it better. ^ exactly what Doug said. You can swap around the boots, neck, cape and leg slot (for the mage setup) to your liking, the others are pretty much a minimum though depending on your budget

Wil attempt it due to this guide.... one day... not now tho... one day .. maybe, Good guide tho
i will never ever even try the inferno, but this is such a good video
ppl laughed at me for running bulwark but I was able to consistantly get to bosses after like, my second try.
it just turns the inferno AFK to run it with blood fury
Was this prenerf dinhs? I remember seeing a few videos on it quite a while back
This is my Inferno attempt setup. I cannot wait to get the Infernal Cape and maybe the pet in 1kc.
Ranged setup:
- Twisted Bow + Dragon Arrows
- Blowpipe + Rune Darts (Will go dragon when I get to Zuk)
- Masori (f) set
- Necklace of Anguish
- Ranged Cape (t) + Vorkath's Head
- Lightbearer
- Pegasian Boots / Devout Boots
- Justi Faceguard
Magic Setup:
- Ancestral Robe Top
- Elysian Spirit Shield
- Occult Necklace
- Kodai Wand
Special attack weapon:
- Eldritch Nightmare Staff
I cannot progress past the 50's waves or I die early around wave 31. I don't know how to deal with "bad/unlucky" spawns. I'm not very good at identifying how many ticks apart more than 1 mob attacking me is to pray correctly.
Really solid setup. Unless you want to keep progressing with just that gear, I’d recommend on bringing a tank setup in with you as well. For any spawns that you don’t have a clue to solve, equip your tank setup and just cross to the southern pillar, in most cases this ‘fixes’ a bad spawn but just make sure you corner trap anything sliding down to you.
Check out my magic inferno run at 1:14:17. (Ignore the melee slapping me, not sure why I didn’t pray melee there)
@@nairyhipples Appreciate it. I've been running w/o any Justi to pack extra supplies. Eldritch is nice but it noodles specs a lot lol. I want to be able to learn it and do it on task. I don't wanna be the one and done guy.
@@thebestoffive-qc1xn fair enough. Nibblers, ranger, bat, blob, melee, mager is the spec priority
Damn man... Here I am, maxed main, 3B bank, I have a ely just for doing the inferno which I've never even made any real attempts at.
Calling this cheese inspires me to try to cheese it with a bunch of GP and patience, I know it really isn't cheese and you do have to learn what you're doing, but thinking of it this way gives me confidence. Thanks!
really happy to hear!
@@nairyhipples I never even tried it, but six months later I'm back at this video on wave 43 at the moment, logged out to take a break. I only have half a brew left so this isn't the run, but a huge PB.
My strategy is to employ these tank methods after consistently getting into deep waves with dps gear so I will know if I'm flicking correctly or just tanking.
Thanks again, even though I'm not using this exact method at the moment this has been the most clear and concise guide I've seen. So many guides tell you about hyper-specific tiles and setups or some niche flicking method that I don't need, the flinch method is slow and consistent so thanks for that! Also the overkill damage from the eldritch spec on the nibblers has made prayer a non issue, I was only using it on rangers because I thought low hp nibs would be a waste.
@@GarrettBlackmon appreciate the feedback. There's more than one way to do the inferno, and yours sounds like a solid strat
This has got nerfed now 😂😂
wym this got nerfed
@@thatr6squid no matter what you get hit for 20% of damage now and mage hits 100%
I cannot understand that *people* think *they* cannot get a cape without cheasing. This unfortunatly takes the fun part of the inferno away and not only that, it devalues the "hard challenge". Everyone can do it, its just a matter of pratice, get to it bois.
Very informative video, kudos to you :)
The inferno is so much fun, everyone can do it but I disagree about how it devalues the hard challenge. I'm not even sure a person can do the inferno with this method, it feels like it's just for the memes.
nah nah nah, all of you have it wrong, you just gotta wait for Jagex to release items that are too overpowered, just wait, I guarantee you someone's getting a f*cking boat into the Inferno on day one of sailing, calling it now.
There is no cheese in the inferno
nice vid, music is a bit weird lol doesnt match the vid lol. Seems more for like those horror youtubers :P
Could always try Sir puggers cryptic music 👀
inferno scary af tho
reminds me of the tankspot guides for WoW bosses from way back in the day, so I didn't really realize anything was off lmao.
Lore was my favourite
as someone with double digit zuk kills anytime you supplment skill and learning mechanics with cheese like RNG and tanking south you'll end up being a 1 and done and typically just buy the cape after that many failures. Learn the mecahnics, the wave solves and solutions, justi isn't ideal its a prolonged death sentence. If you can out dps things giving you a bad position over tanking them do that everytime. The idea that justi is good is dumb.
Bad advice, just learn the content so it doesn’t take you so much longer. Tank gear on average will take you much longer to get first cape then just learning the mechanics
The mechanics are extremely easy to learn, doing them correctly however is a different story. For the majority of players in this game, this strat will be the best 1 and done to learn and never plan to go back to inferno. If you plan on going back I would agree don’t do this method
@@alexlarsen372 I disagree, I’ve had multiple friends who have tried to do cheese methods like this with justi/dinhs and it always results in them taking longer then people I’ve seen learning the content. This is because they brute force the waves spending much much longer to get to zuk every attempt and then dying and having to repeat it again alongside dying in waves due to being chanced so much by not knowing how to flick things.
@@alexlarsen372 most people underestimate there own skills and rather then take a day or two to learn something would rather look for some obscure way out to make it “easier”
This is designed for players with bad ping / shit computer
Well I got mine pretty fast with this method, but I also learned to flick waves after.
Unless you paid $3,000 for maxed account in maxed gear if someone is competent enough to obtain maxed gear I highly doubt they need a guide to complete any PVM content.
Why are you encouraging people to be bad at inferno?
Or you could spend 5 hours and actually learn it
Nice video i subscribe very cool krono#3920
this video just shows why so many ppl buy an inerno rofl.
