Epic video mate ! Thanks for brining us along on your fishing 🎣 adventures
Great way to start the afternoon! Smash fishing baby!!
Right come on and tell me where is the main man SAM at? Miss the duo
Hell yeah!
Last video he was in he didn’t look very well.
Glad to see that jacket. Drownings not cool.
Now I've saved your life, I intend to go for a fish and cook with you someday! G'day from South Eastern Australia
Whoa😮 just a cap full or less would be plenty for that little water lol...I bet that had a kick.😂😂 Great video
for anyone wondering how to dispatch the crab, since Jay didn't mention it, flip it onto it's back, pull up the apron, knife or screwdriver, etc. right in, give it a twist.
Wow, very good work, sir, I am very proud of your work, the lobster catch is extraordinary...
i bet so many egg filled larrys get taken . they just push the eggs out and thats a keeper
Only worthless people do that
Nothing like cooking fresh right on the boat, Jay.
Always good to see you foraging, always entertaining and informative. Some nice recipes too, it's amusing because many years ago lobsters were considered poor people food and now look at how it's boomed. Keep em coming Smash, all the best to you and family.
Man i hate being land locked in Canada 😂 i wish i could do this stuff every day
Oh hello my favorite fisherman aka Lord of Guernsey shore, Finder of Abalone and First at the lobster hole. 😁😁😁 Good to see you back riding waves !
Oioi Smash👋🏼Go get'em buddy❤😊
Oh my goodness I did not see you do that just now you threw all the legs away I’m a true sea girl. I will sit there and pick every little pocket of those legs apart to get that beautiful lobster meat. Oh yes and I am also the one that likes the tarter that comes out of the head area of the lobster. I try not to waste any of that beautiful savory taste.😂😂😂
Cheers for the trip, have to try where we wanted to go on next big tide 👌🏼
Great forage! Nice weather for it!
Nice one Smash great video
At least you would have to admit you got some pretty good weather little for the video probably been pretty rough that’s why you haven’t been on but that’s OK we understand❤❤❤
You did well. Started slow but you won in the end.
Thank you my friend good haul you got I love it
Nice forage!
This may have been asked behind and I mussel it. How long do you keep lobsters and crabs in the store pot? I assume that with their claws banded, it stood them fighting but makes feeding more difficult. My late mother lived on the Sussex coast when the fishermen landed their catch she used to buy lobster or crab that had claws missing. Bargain prices.
Happy dayyyss
Well eared Sir. Enjoy you feast.
Just in time❤
There won’t be any fission for me this night. We have a nor’easter coming in and that means lots of snow. I’m not looking forward to it. Hopefully it’s the last one for the year. Anything over a foot of snow is a pain in the butt😂😂 you can send me anything you want Jay ofI missed your videos
Are you aloud to have a dry suit on for the ormers even if you technically aren't diving for them eating the manky one 🤣🤣
Good Evening from USA
👍
Wondering why you’re not allowed to keep the soft ones. Even if they’re within size.
I think you're allowed but they don't make for good eating i hear
lovely boat did you see mine was let go and smashed up ? :-(
Can't get any fresher!!
I wonder why they don't pass regulation where you can only take 1 claw? I know they do that with crabs in Florida. No loss to the population and you can harvest it again after a few years.
Smash does your store pot never get raided ???
No iv never had a problem but I know people who have , it’s a risk you take leaving them out
A great meal but I'm surprised that you didn't appear to eat the brown crab meat, it's the best part. Not many lobsters, where I live, at my local fishmonger they'd retail between £15 to £20 and those brown crabs would be £5 - £6. So as you were commercial fishing you'd have to sell them wholesale for much less, I cannot see you making a profit. Enjoyed the video though.
Your are rite if I was dependent on the fish and crab but UA-cam is my business and main income so the crab lobster and fish pay for my feul , boat maintenance and I put any exstra into growing my comercial fishing gear, basically my fishing pays for its self , thanks for watching 🎣🎣
@@SMASHFISHING Thanks for explaining.
iv eaten lots of different things from our seas but never a lobster. i often see the lobsters for sale in iceland ,there from canada do you think there farmed larrys, if so im not interested
No we don't have lobster farms in Canada. Your getting them right from the ocean near newfoundland
👍👍
Where is Sam hope he is well. Nice video 🙂
👍🇨🇦
No sign of your mate Mr Inglorious for a few weeks
Is he ok
Are soft shells illegal or you dont want them? They are a prized elsewhere
We can take them , just over hear we prefer the solid crab an lobsters as there’s more meat
You don't need any seasoning. It only detracts from the marvelous natural taste. All you need is saltwater. It is almost a crime to season crustaceans.
your supposed to add 10 ml per 100ml not 50/50 🤣🤣🤣
Cooking on the boat and not in the kitchen... Might Mrs. Smash be pregnant again?
- 19:35 This is what I prefer to see, && than cooking them up at the end. No offense to you on the boat, it's just we don't really see up close what is in the crab pots.
