- We took trip down to the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. The Nugget opened in 1946, and was purchased by Steve Wynn in 1973. Steve Wynn sold later sold the Golden Nugget to Kirk Kerkorian (MGM Mirage) on May 31, 2000. The Nugget continues to be a Vegas favorite.
Sorry for the lack of uploads, Craig has been working overtime in California with no time to edit. We have 5-6 videos ready to edit. We cant wait to share Fremont Street 360 with you! ,

I always stay at the Nugget I love this hotel. I only go Sunday to Thursday it’s quieter and the Room rates are better.

When I first went to Vegas, I always stayed at the Golden Nugget. Wynn did such a terrific job of remodeling the casino and hotel. Always enjoyed staying there.
Sweet. Thanks for the video. Taking the trip to Vegas for the wife's birthday this April '19 in a couple months and staying in the 2 story Spa tower suite at the Nugget. Last time I was in Vegas I was 9 years old and it was August 1989. Going back for the 30 year anniversary. Thanks for the look at what we're going to see.

Hotels on the Strip are charging $40 in "Hotel service" plus between $15 and $25 for parking ( ( for guests ! ). The Golden Nugget $25 hotel service and free parking. Love The Nugget, much better value with all the fun of Fremont street. Great Video !

Love this channel, but was very shocked they recognized no one on the photo wall. These are not stars from 50 years ago. These are starts of the past couple of decades, who are (mostly) very alive and well today.

Buckeye Girl how awsome. I don’t meet many people with the 7th as their birthday. My wife and I celebrated my 40th birthday at the Nugget a couple of years ago. (I guess Libras just Love Vegas, because we go 2-3 times a year.)
I really enjoy viewing your posts. I am a fan of LV and I go every chance I get. It my favorite city. Its funny because I really don't like gambling but I enjoy the night life and even the city itself away from the strip. Thank you go much for bringing this city to me over at Nashville.
We used to stay at the Nugget until their resort fee got so expensive. Also never really gambled there as their table games minimums are always so high. Prefer craps, blackjack at the Fremont, Queens, Elcortez and the like. Nice place though. I like to walk through it at least once when we are in Vegas. Excellent video as always. Thanks.

The resort fee is the lowest you'll find in Vegas at 28 bucks.

I was in the Golden Nugget at the end of Jan. Saw 2 good handpay hits. The hour I was there I was not able to hit like the 2 I saw. Good video, I can remember where I was at in the casino.

Another great vid, thanks for the table minimums. Wife loves GN for the hotel and pool, but they have the highest minimums downtown, but no problem because it's a 2 minute walk to 6 other places. Not like the strip, we were staying at the Mirage where I can't afford to play, it takes a half hour to cross the street and get to Harrah's, I would be gone for 1 1/2 hour just to play for a 1/2 hour. The GN is a perfect compromise, strip quality hotel/pool for her, walking distance gaming for me.
That was the very first hotel I stayed in back in 91 when I went to Vegas.

Love the GN! Rush tower rooms are nice...or used to be several years ago when I went to Vegas more than Laughlin.
They used to have a legit Price is Right machine with a mini spinning wheel attached to the slot machine. It was the best and they removed it! Bummmmmmmerrrrrrrr.

$15 dollar blackjack minimum on Freemont st. You have to be kidding. One of the main reasons people stayed downtown was because you could play for lower minimums than the strip. Casinos downtown used to have 25 cent chips, and the dollar chips were black as the black chips on the strip were $100.

I must confess though even with all the old run down buildings, pee & poop soaked sidewalks a few blocks over, and don't forget the bums, prostitutes, druggies, or even the clean cut scammers in shirt & ties, "The Golden Nugget Casino", is still one of my favorite properties to visit in Vegas anytime of the year.

Aahhh and Good Old Bob Hope! Glad he is on the top row! Is the restaurant The Grotto still there? We've dined there a few times, pretty good food. I know things change but I truly hated that the Golden Nugget took out Stephanos it was such an awesome place to dine!
