      I hope he film's firing it up and test driving it. Greedy people won't change if they aren't called out for the corners that they cut. These john deere tractors cost a lot more than the case tractors, and I don't see as many of them being worked on like the john deere are. The millennial farmer traded his john deere tractor in because the head was cracked, or something major. Many of us said do not buy a remand engine, and he traded it in on a newer model with maybe 500 hour's on it. God bless.

    Gonna stop this at 11:17 and say my piece. Your integrity, skills, experience were never in doubt with anyone during this project , IMHO. There has rarely been anyone, ANYONE, with such a balanced combination such as you, Warren. Someone at The Deere Company knew from the beginning this was their problem and the sooner they “owned” it the better. Companies sometimes have a bad product (either directly or through a subcontractor)go to market in spite of their best efforts at quality control; this appears to be something of that nature. When that happens it is expensive for them and the profit from that particular sale just disappeared off the balance sheet. You’ve had it happen. All companies do. Own it, make it right and fair for everyone, move on. Otherwise the loss just increases. You, as the installer, are in the position of greatest visibility and liability. But Deere has the greater responsibility to step forward quickly and forcefully to ascertain their reputation and the reputation of their employees, subcontractors and others affiliated with their brand is not damaged. It appears that they have done so in this instance. Deere, or someone in the dealership, regional office, or wherever, knew you were their greatest asset in this moving forward in a positive manner and at the greatest speed with the very best possible results. You do the “ right thing” always and someone at some level in the Deere chain was wise enough to take advantage of that asset. Just my two cents worth.

    Hard for Deere to argue, you filmed the installation every time. Deere needs to listen to experienced mechanics that have spotted flaws in design, and or parts that are from vendors that has quality issues. Getting parts from China or other cheap labor causes issues like what you are experiencing. But for saving face, or downright cheap they always question the installation. I now have a uneasy feeling ever buying a vehicle with a reman engine.

    • @prevost8686
      @prevost8686 3 роки тому +3

      I wouldn’t buy a reman from any OE manufacturer like Deere, Detroit, Cummins, etc. Here we are fortunate to have several smaller reman operations that don’t have nearly the overhead that the big names do and can supply excellent quality engines and transmissions. They don’t cut any corners and the don’t hire just any warm body to work for them. The only downside is that they don’t have a nationwide dealership structure that will handle any issues should they arise. I realize that not all parts of the country have access to good reman sources so they have to use the big names to get a fast turnaround on a down piece of equipment.

    • @ryanhogan6509
      @ryanhogan6509 3 роки тому +4

      First off if your buying a vehicle with a remanufactured, you better be able to turn wrenches, if the engine was clapped out, obviously all the other components in the vehicle are clapped out., that being said, generally with a rebuilt engine, they tend to either run fine, or shit the bed in the fist few hours, if it goes 8 thousand miles without issue, it SHOULD go 100 thousand., significant errors in an rebuild tend to give up the ghost pretty quickly.., so knowing that , this generally holds up on most major mechanical work..,

    • @stillliving5899
      @stillliving5899 3 роки тому +2

      @Wayne, I agree, and some of the worst parts are made by dorman, which I avoid if at all possible because the parts are junk. Dorman parts are at every corner auto zone, advance, and everyone else. One thing for sure, is I never buy a remand ac compressor, steering rack, axle shafts, and starters or alternators. It's good to have a good shop if you need stuff done, because knowing a place that can rebuild your engine, transmission, beats having to buy the remand junk that you end up eating labor time on. God bless.

    Good man Warren, cover all the bases!! You're a smart man, you have all my respect for sure! Maybe we should have quality parts and equipment made here again, and not the crap from China. I think or rather hope companies wake up and see that in the long run it's cost efficient to make it here, rather than to constantly have to replace the sub par crap made from there. Thanks for this video, enjoyed it and all of them

    "Tell him to put his coveralls on too. He could come over here and put the sonofabitch in" Had to pick myself up off the floor was laughing so hard. Scary how bad the remans have got, suspect until proven otherwise. Anyways, thanks Warren and congratulations coming up to 100k, you've earned every bit of it

    As has already been said, I definitely would like to see the JD rep pull the timing cover on Groundhog Day Engine #2 on camera...of course he won't do that, but he should. Boy you talk about swinging a hammer and hitting yerself right in the noggin JD Reman has certainly managed to do that with this series.
    JD Reman could save themselves a small fortune by hiring a guy like you to consult on their "workmanship". Of course, like my Dad used to say when he would get a run of junk like this, "the only time they worry about a small fortune is when it steals the large one" I guess no one is showing a problem there...yet.

  • @edadpops1709
    @edadpops1709 3 роки тому +1

    If JD was really concerned about your workmanship on the 3rd, then they would have sent a rep to witness it. But a camera don’t lie.👍

      I though they all went South, then they moved the main office south. Run everything North and then moved the office back North. Just like Deere.

      He said in one of the other videos that the customer/owner of the tractor was the decent guy and paid him the labour 👍🏻guess they have to see if Deere pay him or maybe they stood over the engine but not the labour?

    Warren can't be the only field mechanic doing reman installation of JD engines have have run into quality issues. JD needs the evidence to chargeback all the expenses to whomever is actually doing the reman rebuilds.

    Back in march you thought that the 9620T crank and other engine components could be used to rebuild the engine, then in may it was announced that the crank was bent. You had done a crank turnout, march, and thought it was fine, how did you get to the balancing of the crank and the mentioned video of how bad the balancer end of the crank was wobbling?????

    "Once again, for the second time" (AvE)
    I would not allow him on site. IMHO he is looking for an excuse to blame the reman failure on you Warren. Any deviation of their procedures could open you up to liability.
    I've discovered what happened to the reman engine. @53:00 Same as last time, you used the John Deere Breakin' Plus Oil :-)
