It's when Smash becomes a part of you that when your losses make you feel like an unsuccessful person. Factoring in the stakes and how close the set was, this was a heartbreaking loss.
That's got to be so conflicting for MkLeo, you can tell he has a lot of empathy for Zackray, but it wouldn't mean anything if he sandbagged. They're both here to win, they're going to try their hardest, and MkLeo won again this time. But you can tell he still feels for Zackray a lot, it has to be conflicting to watch someone come so close to achieving their goal of beating you. It was an amazing set, and so close too. Everyone's rightfully proud of Zackray, he's already improved so much and gone so far, and he's only just getting started.
Just think about how Zackray must've felt especially considering how he lost to leo in evo. Leo completely dominated him at evo (most likely due to nerves). THIS SET WAS AMAZING. They were both really in top form and it came down to the wire in the end, anyone would breakdown after losing your chance to beat the best after being so close.
Also Zackray said on Twitter that he'll do even better next time so he hasn't lost hope and we can expect a rematch in the far future. These two both Leo and Zackray are amazing players.
Zackray's composure when playing people like Leo is so insane in my opinion. He doesn't get as noticeably nervous vs the best anymore and still takes games off them. Also credit to Leo who adapted to Rob so quickly. They've both amazing.

I was watching this on live and it got so intense that I couldn't even blink. I was cheering for Zackray since I'm a great fan of him and he had lost against Leo at EVO just a week before this game. He fought really well and got so close. I literally cried when I saw him on the floor like that. It was heartbreaking, but at the same time, I was so proud of him fighting so well against Leo, the absolute top player. Zackray will be stronger and better and I really hope to see him win the game next time. This game definitely deserves to be called one of the best matches in the SSBU history. Watching the end of game 5 was absolutely crushing, even when just sitting and watching it on the live-stream. I think everyone wanted Zackray to clutch it, but instead, up air drag down destroyed our hopes and dreams.
It's one of those animes like Haikyuu where you get to know all competitors and see how hard they work and want them to achieve their dreams but only one can win and just breaks your heart man :'(
This match would've been worthy of finals. You can see their passion for the game in how they play. Because of that passion, it must feel crushing to be defeated. I wanted to give that poor boy a hug. :( MKLeo's sportsmanship surprises me in that he tries to control his expressions when his opponents are genuinely distressed from losing. I saw it in his match with Samsora too. Most people don't hold back that much. Ray played an amazing set. I hope we also see more of him in the future.

This was such an amazingly played and emotional set. This was the most intense and beautiful match, They did all they could and Zackray almost wins, congrats to both of them, it was a great match to see, specially when Zack switches to ROB, he adapted so well against Joker, and props to Leo to using Rebel's Guard with ROB's disc in the second match, getting an advantage, shows a lot of them. Those two guys were a force of nature.

This was the most intense and beautiful match, They did all they could and Zackray almost wins, congrats to both of them, it was a great match to see, specially when Zack switches to ROB, he adapted so well against Joker, and props to Leo to using Rebel's Guard with ROB's disc in the second match, getting an advantage, shows a lot of them.
Those two guys were a force of nature.

Such a close set! Zackray missed his opportunity when Leo countered the gyro. First time seeing him take a loss like that too. Understandable tho because I'm pretty sure Leo is the only person Zackray hasn't gotten his "revenge" on yet.
evoでの対戦で正直ここまでの実力差があるのかと、個人的には見て思ったけどこの短期間でここまでMKLeoに迫ったザクレイくんは近い日にMKLeoに勝ってくれると本気で思えた！同じジョーカー使いのMKLeoはすごく尊敬してるのでどちらともこれからの活躍に期待したい！
