    SPOILERS
    ..
This reverse 3-0 was awesome, after Tweek beat leo's byleth then 5-0'd his Aegis at Summit, Leo here makes a reverse 3-0 followed by a 3 stock, using a mid/high tier character at a supermajor. Leo, tweek and spargo carry all their characters by a lot, (esp leo), and i personally think they're the best 3 by skill/fundamentals in the world. I was happy for tweek overcoming leo at summit so solidly and then leo getting the runback with his favorite character in the most hype way possible here was perfectly hype for their next WF/GFs encounter! Shows that tiers in this game are very small and skill by far matters the most.
Unrelated, but all these guys have a Metafy if anyone would like to learn/improve from them.

If they spam projectiles, reflect or parry them. There is a counter to everything. Just whoever gets to abuse those options without having the opponent adapt in time.

This is the game that the crowd looks forward to the most and it rarely disappoints. What an epic set and what a way to come back for Leo, with a character widely considered Mid Tier and closing it with a 3 stock.

Here is my observations as playing Smash at a couple venues.
-Tweek was more concerned using the Banana to his advantage and Leo using it back in such a manner was not seen coming.
After losing 2 games, Leo already knew the patterns of Diddy. It's the equivalent of going online and rematching the same person and expecting them not to pick up on habits.
-After aerials, Leo tends to shield right afterwards if the opponent is shielding or gets close to the ground if it doesn't hit. This could be punished by grabbing, but sometimes people don't notice patterns.
-What separates mediocre smash players and good tournament players is that they use all of their kit and instead of the same moves everytime.everyone.
-Leo rarely did offstage shenigans unless it was guaranteed like his recovery earlier. Both players were concerned on getting back on stage rather than securing a kill off stage by taking risks.
-More I watch, I more I pick up on psychological patterns and actions both players take such as shielding and dodging.

    • @blueknight8079
      @blueknight8079 3 роки тому +13

"This could be punished by grabbing, but sometimes people don't notice patterns."
It's not that they don't notice patterns, it's just that Leo is so good at conditioning his opponents that, when they think they got his habits down, Leo starts adapting and using the conditioning he already established to mix them up and make them second guess themselves. I'm not saying you can't exploit Leo's patterns but you gotta be aware that he'll change the gameplan ON THE SPOT if he catches up to what you're doing.
You better are as good as he is at adapting and conditioning or you'll get yourself 3-0d and 3 stocked.

Tweeks defense and how he maneuvers throughout the stage is ridiculous, and Leo's awareness and ability in this match to not only catch diddys bananas and peanuts but also use them for intricate setups and kos is actually mind boggling at times. It's funny bcus... Tweek kept jumping from ledge.
    And I'm like
Why doesn't Leo f smash that?
    Does he not notice???
    Oh he noticed.
He noticed and saved it for the last fucking stock of the last fuckin game.
    That's absolute genius.
    He notices your bad habits
And picks the BEST POSSIBLE MOMENT to punish them
    That's wild.

The fact that Leo got the download on Tweek's last boss DIddy to reverse sweep him was just the absolute most insane thing ive ever seen. With how lethal Tweek's diddy is, I honestly didn't think it was possible. The matchup seems so hard for byleth, AND Tweeks diddy looks near impossible to beat for just about ANY character regardless! Just completely blown away. These two are so far ahead of everyone else its not even close, but Leo is truly and undisputedly the goat of Smash Ultimate.

It's like watching Goku vs Vegeta. Vegeta trains so hard to catch up and surpass Goku, and then Goku just digs deep and levels up in 1 episode.
