It has been a LONG 2020 and a busy start to 2021. That being said I AM back at it and I'm actually watching some glue dry as I type this. I'm not as far along as I wanted to be by now, but I'm grinding... Update soon, I promise!
Thanks! This summer has been really rough with work and hobby time has been VERY hard to come by. I hope to have some updates to share within the next few weeks :-)
Thanks! COVID life is rough right now and hobby time has been basically nonexistent. I'm hoping I'll have the shop cleaned up from all the home repairs by the end of the week and then I can get back to work. I've got a few updates on the nacelles and radials and need to shoot that video asap.
Moving along nicely.. I'm going to try and repeat a phrase someone once said to me during one of my builds. Can't remember it word for word but it when something like this... 90% done and 90% to go! lol I thought that statement was so bang on. :)
Not germane to this video, but where do you get your fiberglass cloth? You mentioned 2 3/4 oz cloth in the fuselage build video but I can’t find it anywhere.
I've always purchased from thayercraft.com/ and always been happy with their products and service. The 2 3/4 stuff is here: thayercraft.com/2.74-osy-3070-silane.html
I built the tail pretty light but I won't really know how the CG is looking until I get the Nacelles, motors, and landing gear installed. I'm hoping to be able to keep the ballast to a minimum, but these warbirds are always a challenge.
Hi I have a question about the dummy radial engines that you are making for your 1/9 scale B-17 , are you going to have them 3-D printed ? In the reason I am asking is because I have a 1/9 scale B-17 that I am building from West Wing models that I purchased which is just going to be first static display at different airshows but I want to find out if you 3-D print these radial engines if I could buy a set off you ? Or if you know someone who can 3-D print them for me ? I would greatly appreciate it thank you so much and I really enjoy watching your build on your B-17 because in a way it will help me when I start my build this summer thank you
Slowly. Work from home + 4 year old kid + home improvement projects has left VERY little time for hobbies. I am determined to get an update out before the end of the year and I just got the shop back into a workable condition after finishing the home projects.
@@CarlLydickRC Well i look forward to see it, I am on Rumble have you ever thought of moving over to there? if you want to follow me my name on their is SubarumanFL. what Size E motors are you looking at using?
Time to get back to work !

Any concerns about CG at this point?
